Overall had an amazing experience.
Why not 4 stars? The entry times were a little misleading. Fortunately it was a sunny day but could have been a cold, wet two hours waiting in the queue.
Also, and I blame myself for not fully reading the ticket, the production ended up being over 6 hours and we were ill prepared food wise. More a note to other people attending to make sure you are stocked up.
Overall the experience was fantastic for us and our son to show him what goes on in the productions.
We had the best time. The show was amazing, the crew were fantastic, the panel and host were awesome. We just were delighted to have got in for the final and to see all of the singing first hand. Brilliant! Can't wait to see it on t.v. 👌👌
Like many other one star reviews, we arrived an hour earlier than stated door opening time. Yet we were still 30th+ in reserve. They didn't let us know we didn't make it in until an hour after stated door closing time.
I must admit, I didn't read buried deep in the small print that the tickets weren't guaranteed entry. We are talking deep in the small print. I also didn't read the reviews on here, another mistake. However if this review helps another family, then it's worth it.
If you have kids, would definitely recommend against this experience. We had 2 very disappointed kids at the end of a 3 hour 'queuing experience'.
I'm not against reserves. But at least have a proper reserve waiting area. We were given green wrist bands with vastly different numbers, but told "You have a very good chance of getting in", only for people who were presumably friends and family of the crew rock up way after the doors 'closed'... but were given gold/silver wrist bands, thus pushing us further down (i counted at least 4 families which did this).
Just a very shoddy experience. My advice would be perhaps don't give as many reserve wrist bands out, only 12 were actually permitted and the final family were actually all split up.
ANTIQUE ROADSHOW - BOTANIC GARDENS
Despite the rain it was a great day out. Very interesting to see how the filming is done & of course meeting the presenters. Look forward to watching it on tv when aired.
Really enjoyed the filming of Never mind the Buzzcocks
Really enjoyed the filming of Never Mind the Buzzcocks, entertaining and funny loved the 2 panels and Greg Davies was outrageously hilarious.
Well looked after by security and background staff at the venue.
Also loved the warm up comedian.
Had a really enjoyable day at the Belfast antiques road show venue last week. Very courteous staff throughout. Crowd control was in place and left it very comfortable to move from one valuation station to the other.
Lovely day (lol apart from the usual Belfast rain) the show was well organised with many stewards to point out where you needed to be. Lovely seeing the antique experts in person. Only criticism was the elderly ceramics expert on the day, he was quite dismissive and a little rude whilst quickly googling the dates of a pair of late 19th century beleek vases. I do admit he must have been very cold in the torrential rain and as it was late in the day I’m sure he’d had enough of Belfast. All the other experts were fantastic especially the glass expert who entertained us during the dreadful weather.
ordered tickets easy enough. Arrived early and was near front of queue, then had to wait 2.5hrs to get in. Great seats in middle 2nd row until the cameras came out and restricted our view. Netherless had a good time watching the show. Had been before so knew what to expect. They usually record an hour show in 2.5hours, lot of editing.
Very straightforward system and as we had priority tickets we didn't feel so pressured while queueing.
Security staff were helpful and show was good fun to watch.
Managed to get in easy, it was a hot day so security let us in earlier than advertised time which was good. Must admit bit disappointed with the guests as I only knew one of them but still a cracking show all the same.
My friend and I watched Never Mind the Buzzcocks and overall it was a great experience. Communication was good and the Priority Tickets made a real difference. The only slight negative was no 'official' toilet breaks, which over a 3 hour period was a challenge after heading to the pub for a couple of drinks beforehand. I'd recommend a scheduled toilet break if possible or clearer instructions on what's allowed, as many people just went to the toilet anyway
Straightforward ticket booking process - tickets with all relevant info sent in good time. I did have a few issues finding the check in location to pick up wrist bands, but I was still able to get in in good time, and had a great seat - nearly front and centre. The filming took over three hours, blurb suggested it would be two hours, as did Greg Davies when he opened the show - but I suppose you can never tell. Ingress & egress was orderly. I'll definitely aim to secure more tickets from Lost in TV.
