I was desperate and went with Maxlend for a small loan of $400. I have made 17 payments of $95.64 to today’s date which totals $1625.88.
I sent an email asking to defer the 17th payment due to my chronic lung disease and my husband facing a spinal surgery (if he don’t have, he will become paralyzed). We are financially strapped with medical bills and are struggling to survive. I received an email back approving the deferral, I just needed to send a one line sentence authorization back to them. I did that on the same day. Friday the 17th payment comes out of my bank account so I scrabble to get money from a family member to cover the negative caused and to avoid an overdraft fee. I have called twice to Maxlend and today they said I did not send back the one line authorization sentence so I sent them a picture from my sent mailbox. They refused to make right so I’m a little upset how a company that takes that much money in interest from people who were burdened enough to get a loan could not be a little more compassionate.
Taking the payment out has left me in a very bad financial situation and will be struggling to make the last payment on the 8th.
I would not recommend using Maxlend and with the high interest rates I will not do it again. I will struggle like they have made me struggle with getting medications this week. They should be ashamed for not understanding people do have hardships and to the guy I talked to today…you should be ashamed for raising your voice to a customer.
