With GamerSafer's new ownership of Minehut, things are starting to look up again. They're interactive with the community, active, and most of all transparent. This is what every place needs. A transparent wall to communicate important information to your community, and Minehut has this. Advertising options are also something no other minecraft server hosting provider offers, but Minehut does offer. It's a brilliant ecosystem of different things to get the best out of your minecraft server. minehut is a fun server but the ad limit is tearable plus i have sent 100 reports about pay to win servers and they were not banned also people should ad as much as they want so its not fair to put a ten ad limit for default players or at least make the time when they get there ads back shorter i mean who can wait a month!!! make it a week or day just please make minehut funer

Minehut, where do i start first off the customer support is absolutely horrendous they will do anything but help you, second of all Minehut does not care about you at all all they will care about is how much money you want to waste in this, how come? well most of its over priced features used to be free of charge but they got greedy, and started pricing for every single useful feature now you cannot even play for more than 4 hours with your friends without being forced to pay it is absolutely shameful to see such an good company going to waste, and lets not start with the moderation the most simple chat reaction can get you banned for almost a year, they are very sensitive about anything. (the reason i gave 1 star is because i couldn't give 0)

Minehut support sucks. I was false banned for my appropiate skin. And all Minehut support said was to change it. Even though I used the same skin for several months on Minehut. Minehut support sucks. I ask for help in their discord and they don't seem to care. All in all don't use Minehut it sucks ass.

Minehut has gone way downhill since 2018! Servers are super laggy. Ranks are now subscriptions. (Thankfully legacy ranks still exist though). The online panel is very hard to use and it’s full of ads. Ads in the in-game lobby, politics enforced by Minehut. So many paid stuff, you have the spend money just to have a half-decent server. The cosmetics system is just a mess, so are the current guis. There’s almost nothing free about Minehut anymore, everything about it just screams greed! Plugin installing on servers doesn’t even work anymore. I don’t consider Minehut to be a free hosting service anymore, it is now Moneyhut not Minehut!

I think there are a lot of problems on Minehut, but I think one of my main issues is the filth you find on random join. 9 times out of ten, you're going to find a box or lifesteal server. I don't think the lifesteal or box concept is inherently bad, but it's just really sad to see that no one is creative with their server ideas. Oh, and SMPS! The SMPS you will find on Minehut are terrible. You're going to find a lot of SMPS with fancy spawns and just one special plugin and a shop. I don't get how these servers can hold hundreds of players at one time. You're also going to find a lot of smaller SMPS with lazy server owners. These people basically make an SMP server with no ranks, no spawn, and just give themselves operator. They believe Minehutters will actually spend time on their SMP while they play god. All of these issues aren't entirely Minehut's fault, but this is just one of the issues.

uploading files takes hours also if you don’t have a account that doesn’t auto hibernate you can’t upload files without being kicked out unless you have someone in the world. All uploads do finish but any file with no data won’t upload

Minehut is, in my opinion, the best free hosting service out there for Minecraft servers. Their support members are top quality, they allow you to advertise for free, and you can get paid plans for free just by voting every day. I'm currently a moderator on their platforms, and they treat us with respect, and go out of their way to make sure that we have a great experience. The admins here are amazing and professional, and I couldn't ask for a better management team.

Making my own pvp server, on a free server, takes atleast 8 hours per day to make, with the 4 hour limit it makes it not fun to play, if I could actually do more than 4 hours I could make it good enough to upgrade to a paid server, the entire server is a scam, I live in the mid west, and get 100 ping constantly. With custom skript, it can barely run at 10 TPS, on a vanilla Minecraft world, I get 19-20, without any special plugins, so to anyone who read this, it is a complete scam, don't use, use a little more expensive server host, it will be worth it.

Our servers are hosted on the East Coast of the US, so the further you are from that location the more lag you will experience.
just garbage, thats all. terrible uptime. servers shut when players quit. pay to play, etc. garbage. a 2/5 would be lying.
We're sorry that you've had a bad experience on our servers. All servers are managed by individual owners so we don't have full control over if their server crashes or not. Our servers are free to play, however, as with all companies there are paid options if you want to host servers.
Minehut has gone in only 2 years from probably the best free server hosting company to the worst. Free servers were what this whole company was based around, however they limit the total playtime and force you to pay them money to be able to play on the server. You have to pay to download your world, you have to pay to do practically anything besides play and start the server. The only good experiences I had with Minehut is when they were a small and wholesome company and didn't put an ad in your way before you do any activity on your server. Just don't ever use it. You are far better off using an actually decent free host like Aternos or running a server yourself.

dont use minehut, worst sever hosting ever... theyve gone from a wholesome serverhosting business to a greedy moneyhungry business... you can play for 2 hours then you need to upgrade your server plan... worst serverhosting you can find DONT USE MINEHUT

TLDR; Doing anything on the website to configure things for a modpack is impossible to do for a server that's being paid to keep up. Also the lack of help from the mods/staff in the discord server from others who faced a similar issue. Prior to all of this, I made sure the modpack which is Fabric 1.20.1 function and ran smoothly + optimizing it before setting it up in Minehut, keep in mind this was a PAID server we were trying to get to work. Originally we wanted to host a Forge 1.20.1 server, however for some reason they do not have the most updated version for forge so we had to make a new modpack in order to host a server in Minehut. My friend and I can't deal with this hassle anymore from working on this for 3 days straight with barely any progress being done when the modpack itself works just fine. Here's the list of problems that made us give up on hosting our server through Minehut: 1) The design of the website. Simply how clicking on the logo or "My Servers" logs you out randomly, constantly closing your server when you're trying to configure it, and how slow it is. Each time this happens we had to manually log back in and open the server back up just to add/remove mods. The worst part is you can't even put all the mods inside of the folder, you have to INDIVIDUALLY add in mods, in this case we have 270 files inside our modpack. 2) The logs, it gives us multiple errors of mods which is fine since we can just remove them, until half the mods had removed. When those mods were removed, the server suddenly cannot start up because of an error that has nothing to do with a mod that is causing an issue. This is actually our THIRD TIME we used Minehut to host server which we paid for those servers, the last two were also modded. What was weird is most of the mods we used in the past are included in this modpack, and yet Minehut now is saying the mods are an issue and can't start because of it- we need to remove it even though it was working back then when we hosts two server with those modpacks?? So why is there an error now when it worked before? 3) Trying to join the Minehut server in Minecraft. Every time we remove a mod and there's no known errors, we obviously would join the server itself to see what else is the issue or if it finally works, yet when we do the error code that appears preventing us from joining the world says absolutely nothing about what is causing an error. Even looking back on the logs sometimes doesn't give us an exact clue what could be causing an issue, sometimes it tells us which mod causes the issue straight up and other time it doesn't. And again, IT DOES NOT HELP WHEN MINEHUT KEEPS SHUTTING DOWN THE SERVER FOR NO REASON, let us configure the server WITHOUT HAVING THE SERVER ACTIVE. It's such a poor design to have us constantly open it over and over just to make small changes. it's also a huge waste of time, doing a simple task of configuring files for a server is literally impossible when you have to deal with these constant issues that become so frustrating to deal with. Just seeing how Minehut is now from their new changes and how free server are now being limited to 2-4 hours playtime is truly sad to see. We have played on free servers before this change was ever made and from how good our experience was back then we decided to pay for servers twice until up to this point. We were planning to do an annual payment for our server, but just in case we started with a monthly plan first. Now imagine if we did waste our money for an annual plan for a server that couldn't even work. Before mentioning it to us, we did go to the discord server to check out if anyone faced a similar issue, which they did and yet no one responded to them with a solution, most posts in the poll in the channel "ask for help" goes unnoticed very often with. Even if we open a poll to get help, there's a bigger chance of it being ignored than getting an any form of help that could solve our problem. There's a reason why people have been complaining about how bad Minehut got over the past 8 months. Keep in mind one of your volunteer moderator on discord said "it's been over half a year and youre all still complaining", really not that supportive are they for others who faced issues with the company?
We're sorry that you've had so many issues with our service. Our devs have been working on resolving many of these issues since we have new ownership, but it is not a quick process. Servers must be online in order for you to work on them due to the way our system works, this is not likely something we will be able to change. We have been transitioning our login services, which may explain why you have been having some login issues recently. Not all mod packs are compatible with the versions we have available, we have had to limit versions due to known security concerns and bugs with some versions.
It was great at first, but they limited our server time so we could only do like 2 hours, and it was very slow sometimes. I tried to download the world to move it to realms, but you can only download one file at a time, so I spent like 3 hours downloading every file so we could continue to play on the world
