mods are absolutely shit, free plans are changed to almost unplayable, false perma banning people and ignore replies, 95% people in server are bots, low quality servers

Moderation is something we take very seriously so if you feel the punishment was not correct you are free to use our appeal system. As for bots on servers, you can report any server using bots as this is against our rules, this includes the use of AFK rewards to encourage players to use alt accounts to boost the player count.

The 4 hour daily time is so bad. I remember 8 hours being so good but then they got greedy and switched to 4 hours. They also made ads 10 a month for free users like HOW MUCH DO I NEED TO PAY TO RUN A DECENT SERVER?????????? Bring back the old days, Minehut. It's pretty much impossible to run a good server without PAYING TO WIN POPULARITY.

We have also included a way to extend play time on free servers at no additional cost with our boosting system. The free servers we have provided are not free for us, so we have had to add limitations to continue operating.
Minehut Is absolutely a scumbag, Bad mods, Bad experience. Removed AFK Removed TONS of good things and thats not only what they removed.. They Falsely mute people and waste's our time by appealing.I've got muted over 20 times just by "trolling" whilist i was not. This shows how empathy minehut is. Please never play this.
We're sorry to hear you are unhappy with our service. We have removed AFK rewards, not the ability to AFK in a normal fashion. This change was to improve honesty in player counts for servers. Servers with more players show up higher on our search results so this was creating an unfair advantage to servers willing to fake their counts with bots and AFK rewards. As for our moderators, please report any moderators you feel are not enforcing our rules correctly. Some users may be unintentionally breaking our rules so we do provide warnings first in most cases.
Minehut is a great place to get started and grow a community for a server. However, over the past 3 years, the quality has gotten worse and worse over the course of 3 different ownerships/managements. The original ownershipw as great, helpful and maintained the services well. Now, downtime has gone up, unresolved disconnects that everytime has been addressed with 'our team is investigating' with still no fix. Increased prices on server plans, more restrictions on server plans (free plan now has a limit of 4h/day), ranks now require a subscription (those who had legacy ranks and paid decent money at first as it was worth it now basically have none of the original benefits), attempts to have more control over servers with cosmetics (and simply just to make money) and plans to enforce a chat filter across all servers. Quality has gone down drastically and is now incredibly hard to get started in the first place without any starting capital due to the constant downtime, ridiculous costs and now more restrictions on proxying external servers onto Minehut (which was previously a respectable 800 credits/month) now requires access to the partnership program which applications for are rarely reviewed and reviewed in a way where 90% are rejected for no good reason. Poor quality, poor answers, poor choices

There has been a lot of movement behind the scenes to improve the service we provide, unfortunately it takes more time than we'd like due to old systems and infrastructures. There are changes we've made that were required (external server plans and chat filters) and changes that were made by previous owners (such as the rank subscriptions and time limits) but we are doing our best to move forward as a company and ensure we are providing a safe and reliable place for everyone.
Minehut has genuinely become a terrible company. Ive been playing minehut since 2017. I saw the glory days of the company when it started out as a small server hosting network for people wanting to play with friends. It then grew into people making real severs, still smal, but real. 2020 was definitely the peak days of minehut when the staff team was terribly incompetent. One of my biggest issues with this company is the abuse of blindspots in contract law with them creating new subscription paid ranks and then throwing away ranks people bought in earlier years and calling them legacy ranks. This wouldnt be an issue if they hadn't stripped away all the benefits of the legacy ranks. They practically do nothing even though you paid for them. My second biggest problem is the amount of incompetency from the staff and appeal team. I was banned permanently from minehut for "DDOSSING/DOXXING" around a year ago. I was chasing around my friend in a lobby saying "im gonna find u hapily" and they took that as a threat. The crazier part is that the appeal was denied. Overall terrible company. GamerSafe proclaims themselves as a solution to "defeating toxicity" but they're one of the most terrible and toxic companies out there.

The ranks changes took place years ago and while we are not able to change what has happened in the past we are looking to the future and planning improvements in areas that need it. As for your appeal, we take threats against others very seriously. If this is truly all that you said you are welcome to create a new appeal and we can investigate. Many times players don't see their posts the same way our staff does because we are not able to detect tone or familiarity with the other player. When we review the logs during appeals, especially if it was something that was reported to us, we look for other context around the post to help guide the decision.
Quite frankly Minehut has and never will be the same - and it isn't that people are getting older - the issue is that their updates make it look like they listen to people but... they don't. How problematic is it to give a rank that used to cost $200, or even $500 permanent white chat? Or even just increase the amount of ads that they get. Just because the current owners never benefited from their payment (before the current rank system) doesn't mean they shouldn't get some type of reward. It is extremely difficult to promote your server because of much larger servers like Zyptrik, Leone, or other Networks within Minehut that take up GUI ad slots and spam ads with unlimited funding. Some of these servers are so big that they have sponsors from real big companies like Feather Client. The average Joe that wants to start a server doesn't have Leone level funding, so try to level the playing field a little maybe Tim? Another issue is punishments, Minehut goes above and beyond to try and ensure "player safety and happiness" but legacy punishments still exist. There are people I wish I could play Minehut with but they are banned for saying they were 12 not knowing the dire consequences (even after proof of age of being older) there are other examples where legacy punishments should be forgiven, it isn't that deep it's Minecraft. Do better.
We're sorry to hear about your experience on our platform. There are plans to improve our rank system, but we also have many other tasks that require attention. We do accept appeals for legacy punishments, if it is age related we do have a system for this, as long as we can find the logs we are able to review the punishment. Dozens of legacy punishments have been reverted over the past year for players that have appealed but it depends on the rule violation.

Never laggy unless you don't know what you're doing. People aren't sure how to run the servers correctly because the servers are too easy to make! They dont know what they're doing and cram 100 plugins into a server with 1GB of ram. But for just $5/month you can get an external plan and host it yourself on your own ram lag-free and it's completely fine. Plus, the free plan is good too, it can be optimized easily.

I was permanently banned from Minehut for making a clearly immature but harmless joke in chat among friends. I'm 16, and there was no malicious intent whatsoever. Despite this, I was accused of “predatory behavior”—a serious and completely inaccurate label based on context. I appealed the ban, but it was immediately denied without a proper review or chance to explain. I received no warning beforehand and no meaningful response from the moderation team. Even worse, I was given no refund for my paid plan despite the false ban. Support is extremely slow to respond, even for paying users. Performance-wise, Minehut servers are unreliable at best—frequent lag, crashes, and underpowered hardware. But what really sealed it for me was seeing others get away with saying extremely inappropriate things, including racial slurs, without any punishment. The moderation feels inconsistent, unprofessional, and automated.
We're sorry to hear that you are unhappy with our service. We do not issue this type of ban lightly so what was posted must have been severe, even if you felt like it was a joke. A majority of our community is minors so we take these types of issues very seriously as player safety is our top priority. We are not able to actively moderate every player server, but we do accept reports, investigate, and take action when required. None of our moderation is automated, every punishment is issued by our staff. We do have a chat filter, but this only for blocking certain words and does not issue any punishments. As for the performance of our servers, if you were experiencing lag it was most likely due to incorrect plugin configurations, or the use of too many plugins. A majority of our server owners do not experience these issues. It is also possible that your location is too far from our datacenter which can cause some lag.
Poor experience you need to pay for unlimited time staff are poor quality support next to none and people are toxic and only join your server if you have a paid rank 0/10 don’t recommend

Minehut is Okay in my option the severs are good, can be somtimes laggy but that Normel most people on there is kind atleast i was even an staff member on some...but one day I Got banned for Predor Behavior for saying "where you school" to an accdently child.,an i got perm banned sad But...I try to appeal show my edvendences An One think that i got mad..they only show part of a convisetition as well decide to theart me with cops? Im just that just uncool mean you cant just banned somone an then 4mo later Changed to that tbh so they breaking the same rule i did basiclly Ugh... an btw is was the day right affer my brithday So Happy Brithday gift i guess

I understand it is free and expensive, but somethings need to be more clear. Also the verification process needs more work, like how sketchy it is. Not you but Gamesafer asks for face scans? I used this server provider for a while and things have changed-- for the worse. Getting time is hard, a measly 4 hours.

As a loyal customer since 2021, I regret my recent purchase. Nowhere on the plan or payment page does it clearly state that the 'Standard Server' lacks 24/7 uptime – you only discover after paying that you must manually restart it constantly. Even worse, despite being marketed for small groups (1-2 players, max 3 rarely), the server is unplayable: constant lag, crashes, and unstable performance. They also hide critical limitations, like the 20GB storage cap, buried in tiny text. For the price, this is unacceptable. After years as a customer, I expected better. False advertising, deceptive plan details, and terrible reliability – avoid this host.
We're sorry to hear you are unhappy with our service. We list the specs for all of our server plans, including time limits on our Server Plans page. Any paid plan removes the play time limit, but only one server plan has the online 24/7 option, which is also displayed on the Servers Plan page. It is not required to manually start as long as players are online, the server will only hibernate if there are no players online for more than 5 minutes and any player can start the server by using the /join command. Also, we list the storage cap on the same page, it is in our regular sized font. Typically this size limit is fine for a majority of our servers, but can be used up quickly if you have plugins that are not configured correctly as they will spam errors.

I really wanted to like Minehut, but after spending time on the platform, I ran into several issues that made the experience frustrating. Moderation concerns: I was muted multiple times on their main server without clear reasoning. It felt inconsistent and not very user-friendly. Limited free hosting: The free server time is only about 2 hours, after which your server shuts down unless you pay. Starting the server again puts you in a queue and requires watching ads, which can be annoying — especially when you just want to play. Payment issues: I attempted to upgrade, but the system didn’t process it correctly. I didn’t get the upgraded access and didn’t receive a refund or useful support, which was disappointing. Comparison: I’ve used other services like Apex Hosting where there are no queues, no ads, and much better reliability. It’s a smoother experience overall. Overall: Minehut might work for casual, short sessions, but I wouldn’t recommend it for serious players or long-term use. I hope they improve their systems and support in the future.
