A thought provoking experience and wonderful keepsake
I bought the book subscription for my wife as a birthday present. The process of going through the questions, reminiscing and attaching pictures was a wonderful experience for her.
We did have an issue with the finished book arriving without printing on the cover and initially thought we had made a mistake. However, after contacting the support team it transpired that it was a printing error. Julia contacted us immediately, investigated and assured us that it would be put right. We then received notification that the book re-print had been expedited and, true enough, received the finished copy very promptly. Julia was very apologetic and I have to say that the customer service was superb.
The quality of the book is excellent and I would have no issues recommending this experience to anyone.
Totally love the idea of getting this story made. I can’t wait to see the full book. I wish I had made more effort in changing some of the questions as my elderly parents found some questions hard to answer either by understanding or memory.

My Life in a Book was a wonderful and worthwhile project
The weekly email with questions worked well.
I appreciated being able to skip some questions.
I was not clear what to do when all the questions were completed but managed to figure it out when I posed questions on your platform.
It would have been helpful if the program could have indicated that I had two duplicate pictures at the end of the book.
I wanted to reorder the pictures but couldn’t figure that out.
Some pictures did not have space for the under picture one line description so it was put as a single line on the next page. I did not pick up on that while proofing it.
Could that have been corrected before printing?
The final book is beautiful. I am really pleased with the final product.
I have a copy made for my two adult children.
It will be a heirloom for them so they know the background of their Mother’s family history.
Thank you for the opportunity to do this project.
It also allowed me to process my life story and feel more consolidation in my past memories.

Purchased for me by my daughter, the questions are a great prompt for stimulating memories. There’s also the ability to include photos. Overall, a great present and look forward to the finished book.
I found the experience a great way to jog my memory about a past event and I would then recall another experience which up until that point wasn’t on my radar. I have looked back on my past life with a smile and am now keenly awaiting delivery of my book.
How to Write a Book Though Technologically Challenged!
I am “technologically challenged” so when my daughter asked me to do a book about my life I was very apprehensive; however, the staff at My Life in a Book was EXTREMELY helpful and encouraging. They guided me through every step of the process, answering many very specific questions about how to add my photos and how to place the text, etc. When I would feel overwhelmed, they cheered me on and gave me the confidence to persevere. I am SO glad I did it — my kids are loving reading about my life, which is so very different from the way they grew up. Thank you so much for making this dream come to fruition!
My daughter gifted me this and being in my last quarter so to speak, I really appreciated the opportunity to leave her and my grandchildren with what my life was like growing up. I skipped over some of the questions but provided detailed answers about most of them. Adding pictures really made the whole experience really great. Then when I received my hard copy I was quite pleased with the final result. Thanks for a great idea.

Amazing. Great gift for my dad and father in law. My father in law has fully embraced the experience and has found it a lovely thing to do dedicating time each week to look back on his life.

Lovely way to discover and record memories
Lovely idea and have really enjoyed reading about aspects of my dad's life that I didn't know so much about and seeing some early photos. Website easy to use from my perspective and I think the support team were helpful to my dad when he was trying to figure out some elements that he wasn't sure about. Think question a fortnight might have been better for my busy dad and to avoid what felt like repetition. Overall though really pleased with the experience and product

Beautiful book of memories
I initially didn't want to write about my life - my daughter gifted me the book. But receiving a question every week really helped me focus on what was important. Throughout the experience, staff at MLIB were always ready and able to answer my questions. A mistake in the cover of the book was quickly corrected at no cost to me. The books are beautiful and professional. Adding photos was a real bonus. I highly recommend MLIB.

Great resource to preserve family memories
I purchased the book to have my mom leave us a story of her life for her grandchildren to read after she passes. It was honestly a very clear and easy system to use. Once the stories were collected, it took only a few clicks to prepare the printed book. The entire process has been seamless.
