A fabulous gift to leave your children and grandchildren
This was bought for me by my daughter and initially I felt overwhelmed by it. I wasnt an author, how would I write a book.
Well despite having to pay to extend my deadline due to the pressures of life getting in the way, I did eventually finish it and have to say the end product was highly impressive!!
Along the way, I did have some issues around my IT skills but the customer service was 10/10. They were extremely supportive and any questions I had were answered almost immediately.
I would definitely recommend but would suggest that you answer the weekly questions in a timely manner so it is completely manageable and enjoyable.
My daughter and grandchildren are thrilled to read my life story so sincere thanks “my life in a book”

A generous gift
I received the book as a gift from my son as he knew I'd made several attempts to write some stories about my early life.
It was a lovely gift and a lovely idea, but I was initially very overwhelmed by it.
I found the page quite difficult to navigate and didn't really relate to the weekly prompts. Consequently, as I was trying to find my own way, I got rather lost and didn't finish it. But I've now taken out an additional year and am looking forward to pulling it together, and seeing the end result.

This book writing experience was a birthday gift from my daughter. I must admit I was sceptical at first, it being online-based but I couldn't have been more wrong. If you wish to leave something precious for loved ones, please embrace this without reservation. I highly recommend it and it really is time well spent! A new topic to answer arrives in your inbox each week and you can go with it or change it for another from the index as suits you. You will go through a roller-coaster of emotions. When it comes time to print, you will be guided through the process by a tireless team of extremely attentive, patient people who take the time to reply promptly and are keen to ensure both you and they produce the best result for you. The cover options,print and overall quality of the hardback book are exceptional. I enjoyed it so much, I also bought the audiobook option. A terrific experience and... what keepsakes! Thank you!
A very innovative gift idea. I gave one to my husband, my cousin and my uncle. My husband gave one to me.
It gives me a chance to reflect on my earlier years, and hopefully that will be juicy reading for my relatives that outlive me. I don't consider myself a writer, but mylifeinabook breaks it up into weekly questions, that don't overpower one. And eventually it will be a book!

YOUR IN CHARGE OF YOUR LIFE
Having worked on "My Book" for a year, I was very pleased with the physical product when it arrived. The end result exceeded my expectations: hard cover with excellent graphics, colored photos inside, glossy pages, and good-looking printing.
The weekly "prompts" I found helpful as reminders that time passes awful fast, and it is easy to get behind with your writing. The recommended questions were excellent in suggesting topics for your chapters. Also, great that you could create your own topics.
I found the staff "behind the scenes" to be very helpful in answering my questions and helping with problems during start-up: quick, responsive, knowledgeable.
The software was good. Recommended: Allow breaking into a "copy block" to add a picture; automatically adjust spacing for each page so one knows whether they're at end of page and going to another page with only one sentence.
Liked the ability to easily edit what has been written. Liked spell checking and audio write.
I liked the ability to allow others to read what had been written via email.
Offers of discounts were helpful. In fact, purchased subscriptions for two family members. Would like to have known about audio tape option earlier.
Overall, very pleased with entire program.

I have found My Life in a Book very…
I have found My Life in a Book very easy and user-friendly. By adding my writing to drafts, I can easily go back and add more information as I remember more experiences I would like to include. The staff have been amazing and very easy to communicate with during the process of my writing and submitting. It's an excellent gift to be given! I recommend it to anyone!
My daughter gave me this gift for my birthday a year ago. At first, I was a little hesitant about getting started, but with help and guidance from the company I soon began writing. Finally, my work was finished and the company compiled into a book with photos and I am delighted with the result.

Excellent Quality Book
We purchased the book for Mum & Dad to write their history. The company send a new question each week for them to answer, but my parents decided to write their story in their own way, without using the preset prompt questions. The final product was printed with a copy for all children & grandchildren, and we are delighted with the quality of the book and the numerous photos my parents included. The book is over 300 pages long, and will be a wonderful history to pass through the next generations.
Bought 2 of these books for parents, it has been a fun and easy way to document their stories. Generations to come can read and enjoy hearing their words come to life! Questions were interesting and also easy to change if you wanted a different question.

My daughter in law bought My life in a…
My daughter in law bought My life in a Book as a Christmas present. I started to write up the weekly questions which looked back over my past and each week it brought back many happy memories of my childhood and my parents. Unfortunately my wife had Ovarian Cancer diagnosed and treatment started in February and then I became my wife’s full time carer and I stopped doing the weekly questions. I am looking forward to starting where I left off and completing the book for my two grandsons.

Great opportunity for grandparents
This is a great opportunity to share real-life experiences with your family. We are grandparents to 16 grandchildren. We gave a copy to each of our four children to share with their kids. We want our posterity to know that we worked hard to overcome many challenges.
The format was easy to follow. We were busy and missed a few months. Nevertheless, we still had plenty of material to share. We liked to make up our own questions to include specific events in our lives.
I'd recommend this to all grandparentsl.
