Our organization is not routinely provided with updated account balance information from creditors. As a result, there may be occasions when an account is nearing payoff but we are not yet aware of the updated balance, and regularly scheduled payments continue to be disbursed. In these situations, if an overpayment occurs, the creditor will typically issue a refund for the overpaid amount directly to you.
