I honestly didn’t expect a camera this small to be this good, but the OBSBOT Tiny 3 completely blew me away. The 4K video quality is crisp and handles weird lighting like a champ. The AI tracking is super smooth, follows me around naturally while I move, and the voice tracking works like magic when I'm presenting.
If you're work-from-home, stream, or just take a lot of video calls, this thing is worth every single penny. 10/10 recommendation!
Love the Obsbot line of products, they do exactly what i need and great quality. The 3 x Tail 2s i have are perfect for conferences, funerals and sporting events
Obsbot has been great to work with. I've purchased 3 cameras over the years. The latest is the Meet Flip which is a perfect camera for the work I'm doing now. It was easy to order from the site, website was easy to get around.
Great software and highest quality webcam Ihav eever used at th ebest possible price in the market. Onoy critical issue is that software malfunctioned after installign a recent update and I had to go through reddit to find the solution
I love the NDI connectivity and that all 3 cameras interface is available on my pc for camera adjustments. It would be great if the camera’s live view could be available in NDI mode on my pc, like it’s available in HDMI or SDI mode. Currently I can’t control the AI or picture settings on my pc. I use Vmix, I’m able to control the PTZ movements as well as focus. I’m working to perfect the wireless NDI using WiFi 6. It works pretty good but I’m still working on my configuration for optimum performance. Over all the cameras are great and I’m glad I have 3 and my complete the set with another purchase for have 4 cameras if they go on sale this holiday season.
I have a couple Tiny2 cameras that have worked very well for years. When the Tail Air came out I read on their features and that is what made me move up; the Tail Air is not tied to a USB cable, you can use a USB, but you can also use a CAT cable w/POE and then you can go totally wireless as well, and the options for recording or streaming are another perk
Con: I think the Tiny2 has a better lens/camera as the images are clearer. The Tail Air does have good video quality and could probably improve if I took the time to go into settings.
I would not go back to the Tiny 2 that is a given, the Tail Air over all checks all the boxes for me.
Overall
Everyone was extremely helpful in steering me in the right direction. I was sent a replacement device for the cost of the repairs. That was a quarter of the price of purchasing a new one. The original camera wasn’t defective, I had broken the usb port when I was packing it up. In spite of that, they offered me a resolution that saved me tons of money even though the damage was my fault.
Premium Concept with Significant Thermal and Software Flaws
The tracking capabilities are decent, and it is a functional device overall, but it falls short of being a perfect product. My main concern is that the device heats up severely during standard use, which raises longevity and performance questions. Additionally, the camera feels notably overpriced for what you get. The heavily marketed hand gestures are inconsistent and do not track nearly as smoothly or reliably as advertised. It isn't a bad product, but the thermal management, pricing, and gesture detection definitely need improvement.
