What people say

Shameful

Shameful. I canceled my subscription with PDF filler one year ago. All of a sudden I noticed a $96 charge from my bank yesterday. When I emailed customer support, he talked such mumbo-jumbo about me being late to cancel the subscription and he could offer me 50% off or I could go to a monthly plan. I am so glad I saved my emails from cancellation a year ago because I have had to send these to him. Beware.

Still learning about the system

Still learning about the system. Hard to rate at this time, but it works for what I needed.

They say you dont have to pay but you…

They say you dont have to pay but you are required to sign up to one of their (shitty) plans before you can download the document. and then when you sign up you have to pay an amount (1-2USD)

Bjørn hi! Sorry if any confusion with this transation! This is NOT a charge, actually. This is called "verification amount" or "test transaction" which is used by banks and payment systems to verify that you've provided actual/real data while registering your account. This small amount, in full, is safely back on your account within 24 hours, often less. Perhaps you already see it back? Would really appreciate a confirmation! Enjoy the free trial!

Perfect customer support

I cannot recommend their customer support enough. Even outside business hours, I got a live chat response within a minute. I was freaking out because I clicked "free trial" but was charged, and the support agent was able to arrange a full refund.

Bad business ethics & poor customer suppport.

The software itself is great, however their business ethic and support teams lack any real care or aid in your needs and situation. There is also a very trap-type feel to their subscription, along with lots of comms for the confirmation of subcriptions/payments but nothing to notify you of upcoming subcriptions/payments. I was upset as well in their priority in taking customers' money but no concern to if the customer was getting value for money.

James hi! Glad you liked the PDF editor itself, would need more details re the work of our Support though. We've just sent you an internal request for more information via Trustpilot here. Please let us know more details about your request/complaint and, if possible, also the ticket number of your case. Thank you!

Must pay before printing or saving, but after you have finished

There are plenty of free PDF editors online. I decided to give it a try. Finished editing my PDF, it told me I have to create an account to print it. Fair enough, that's what I do, but THEN, they tell me "oh you actually need to buy a subscription to even print your already finished PDF; yes, we will give you a 30-day trial, but you still need to give us your card information". That's predatory.

Vassili hi! Sorry if any confusion. There are absolutely no charges during this first month, we assure you. Those 30 days are entirely on us, and you can always cancel once done with your documents, no pressure whatsoever.

Not Free at all

I wanted to try for my self and most of the negative comments are true. You have to pay to edit your PDF.

This is not correct information, Jonas. Sorry if any confusion! Once you create an account and log in, our free trial period gets activated automatically. This free trial cover full first 30 days. There are absolutely no payments during this first month, we assure you.

THey waited until I had already filled…

THey waited until I had already filled out the document to explain that i had to sign up for a free trial and share my email to download the pdf

Our apologies if any confusion, Gary! pdfFiller is a cloud-based solution, so yes, to use the 30-day free trial period you would need to be logged in with your email and a password of your choice. Ideally, you'd need to log in first, then start document editing. Sorry if this was not obvious!

Great customer service

I used it once to fill in an excel document but unfortunately I had a problem with the subscription and I was charged a full year. I asked for a full refund and I found their customer service is EXCELLENT. They helped me greatly and answered me promptly, granting me a full refund in just a couple of hours! Thank you very much for your help
