What people say

Security concern

Downloaded pdfgear from official site and installed from within Sandboxie. Clicking launch after installation opened Firefox in a yellow framed window. The Firefox page which lists stored logins and passwords opened automatically. Tried it twice. Same result.

Hi there. We're not familiar with the tech method of the sandbox program you mentioned. PDFgear will open its main window and a webpage after your first installation. The webpage contains guide articles and support channels for further service, and it doesn't require any account or password. If you don't need any guide after installation, simply close that webpage. However, if you click on a support channel like Reddit or other social media platform, it will ask for your account to post. It's normal, and the account info is just to log in to the social platform. If you have any further doubt about this, please contact our support with more detailed info, like what you clicked after that installation, and our support will try to find out what the issue is. Thank you for your feedback.

A Promising Application

For starters, offering a completely free PDF viewer with similar functions found on acrobat is a huge plus. The UI is simple and straight to the point, everything is meticulously laid out for the user's convenience. Although I fear the eventual monetisation, commonly occurs in popular free software once they hit high user numbers, I will recommend this to anyone (especially students) looking for a good PDF viewer, editor, and creator.

OMG bad

OMG, although this is the first pdf editor I've tried so I don't know how awkward others are, this is the most awkward hard to editor of any kind I've ever used. It takes many attempts and many saves along the way to get things organized properly. Then, on top of that nonsense, every time I start up my computer it redownloads the setup program. If you're not paying attention you will soon have thousands of copies of the setup program in your download folder. What a piece of crap. PS: To rate this crap, they make you sign up to receive more garbage ads from them.

Hi Stos, As software developer, we do not have the ability to force a browser or system to re-download an installer on startup. You may want to check your browser’s download settings or any local configuration issues. Also, PDFgear does not request any sign-ups, to review PDFgear on Trustpilot, you just got to sign up for Trustpilot. Anyway, we'd be happy to assist if you can record the issues you encountered and send them via [email protected]
