Such a good idea and so easy to follow…

Such a good idea and so easy to follow instructions. A must have if you want to pick up a new language, my Russian is getting better every day. Would recommend

Arabic, which was released recently, is well-structured and allows me to review my English at the same time. Really great app!

I have just started studying Arabic, a language that recently became available, and I find it really effective. At the same time, I’m also learning English, and I manage to find time for both without any issues. Five stars!

I used the trial but left after a week - if some things are fixed I will come back

I used the trial, the concept is good, but since I want to learn just 5-10 minutes a day, for me it was a waste of time to listen to the long comments/introductions etc. Hearing 15 times a day "Great job, thats exactly how you should reply" for me means 60 seconds of time lost. I would like to hear: "Great, next question is:.... " I am not saying this should be changed for all students, some may like it and are not in rush as much as I am. So the good solution would be to add an option in settings: long/short summary before next tasks. I was going to pay the yearly subscription because I see that the app would teach me the language, but I just know I would give up after 2-3 weeks, feeling that too much time is wasted for the summary/introducaiton, instead of the proper learning and practicing. Good luck, hope you fix it soon and I can come back!

Feedback

I would like to give some feedback about the app. First of all, it is much too slow. I expected the conversation to happen in real time, like it was shown in the Instagram advertisement. Instead, I have to press the send button every time, and then the app takes quite a long time to process my message. Sometimes it even stops responding properly. It sends a text response instead of continuing the conversation, and sometimes I have to press the microphone button again just to get the next response. Overall, the app feels quite slow and glitchy, which makes the conversation tiring and not very natural. Also, I was assessed as B1 level, but the lessons started at a very basic and primitive level that is not interesting or useful for me. I expected the app to adapt to my actual level much better. To be honest, I am not very satisfied with the experience so far, and I am not yet sure that I will continue using the subscription. I expected something much closer to the real-time conversation experience shown in the Instagram advertisement. I would also like to mention a few things about the conversation flow. It is very inconvenient that after every question the app asks me if I am ready for the next question or requires me to give permission to continue. Why doesn’t it simply continue the conversation naturally? In a real conversation, you don’t have to confirm after every single question that you are ready for the next one. This makes the whole experience feel slow, artificial and unnecessarily complicated. Also, the tutor uses my name in almost every sentence. At first it was fine, but after a while it becomes really annoying and unnatural. There is no need to address me by my name in almost every sentence. I also don’t understand why I constantly have to confirm that I’m ready for the next question. It interrupts the flow of the conversation instead of making it feel like a real dialogue. Overall, I expected a much more natural, smooth and interactive experience, especially considering what was shown in the Instagram advertisement. Right now, the conversation feels too slow, repetitive and robotic, and I’m honestly not sure that I will continue using the subscription.

It was good until its not

A year ago I trial the app but it was terrible. I wrote a feedback and was acknowledged and ask me to try again in a couple of months. I forgot about it but then tried it in February 2026. It had significantly improved so I paid the year supscription. I actually enjoyed learning Spanish for two months. Then there was this update and it just messed up everything. The AI started teaching in Spanish when my settings was in English. The voice of the AI started changing. The speed when speaking Spanish was too fast despite me setting the speed to slow. Then the syllabus became silly. It keeps repeating the things I have learned. Right now I wouldn’t recommend it until they fix the grounding. I have written a lot of feedback after each lesson but nothing has changed. Not sure what is going on.

It's not exactly what I thought it was…

It's not exactly what I thought it was going to be when I purchased. From day one they speak in the foreign language you want to learn, and as a beginner, that was very unhelpful to me. There's a button you can press (you have to do this every time, I think) to translate what the teacher is saying into english, but I honestly don't know how I feel about that. It seems to jump you straight into the deep end of the pool and after a couple of lessons I do feel like I am drowning. I am probably going to try for a refund.

I’ve had Praktika for a week now

I’ve had Praktika for a week now, my free trial has ended and I definitely decided to pay and go for it. I have used several language apps and I will say this one as far as I am concerned is the best it beats all the others by miles and is even actually fun. I don’t like to study I’m 66 and school’s long over no thanks I just wanna learn Spanish without hard work. So that’s my say,,,, I’m definitely giving it 5 stars. Great App.

The AI component makes learning more interactive, plus not embarrassing to ask the same question repeatedly

The AI component means you can ask random questions, for example, on meanings, usage and pronunciations, and the bot will answer 'on the go' I am Doing the Japanese module and having the dialogue and explanatory part in Japanese with the transcript in Japanese characters means that much of the dialogue is lost to me. However, the teaching components are in English so I am still learning. Since I am not attempting to read Japanese but be conversant, I would like the option to have the transcript of Japanese words be in anglicised script so I can more easily recognise words.

The most productive is the interaction…your robot Could even come closer and I think that corrections done on the spot help a lot

The most important is to correct what people say You still are too much thinking of playing Boeing a robot does not mean you can have no opinion For the moment I Will. Ontinue
