Bought the Prepared Hero Privacy Pen for myself and my daughters who like to travel. Gave them for Christmas, but when my daughter went to charge hers it wouldn't work. Return policy is only 30 days so we were out of luck - pretty expensive lesson.
I have ordered from them before; passing them out to our children to have on hand and when we ran out of our fire blankets I knew I had to reorder. These are great so easy to use and they do the job. With my recent order I included 2 small fire extinguishers . One I'll keep in my car.

I purchased these blankets to give to my kids so they would be prepared in an emergency fire situation. What I didn’t know is that this company deceptively signs you up for their VIP membership and charges you $29.99 a month. My husband handles the bills so I didn’t realize I have been getting charged this amount for 6 months. When I called and asked them to refund my money since I had never activated this membership they refused. I’m so mad that they added this to my account without my knowledge. Do not buy from this company.

I hope I speak for many husbands and fathers… You can’t say it enough when it comes to taking care of your family and their safety, especially from fires. I decided to purchase the four pack; one for my kitchen and one for my outside barbecue area. Just a side-note I had a barbecue grill go up in flames and catch fire to my fence. Had a nice visit from the fire department. “It was caused from too much grease down below.” they said. I was not even home when it happened. I was at a local car show with my buddies while my wife and her girlfriends cooked up some barbecue for us. I can only imagine what could have happened. They were able to put it out with other means. I’m so glad that we have the Prepared Hero blankets now. It gives me and everyone else a piece of mind, I love knowing that my family is safe and I also gave one to my wife’s parents to have in their kitchen since they have a gas stove and I also gave one to my oldest daughter who is getting married soon to have in her kitchen. I don’t want anybody in my family to ever think twice and hopefully not say “I could’ve”, “I would’ve”, “I should’ve!”. DO IT! Just get the blankets and stop wasting time and protect your family. Do NOT purchase these! 'It has been my experience' that they lead you down a rabbit hole of monthly charges that you never signed up for and then refuse to refund what they've stolen from you. Claiming you are part of a VIP for buying their fire blankets - giving you the 'privilege' of being extorted monthly by them for nothing! Steer Cleer..!

Terrible terrible terrible. Thought we were just buying some blankets for all our kids. And then ended up in a monthly subscription that was impossible to get out of or get refunded. Buy your fire blankets elsewhere and save yourself the hassle and a lot of money in the end!!!!!

MINUS FIVE STARS!!! After having read all the negative reviews I feel like I should have looked further into this business before buying Christmas presents in December. Now I have NO FAITH WHATSOEVER that this product would even work in the case of an emergency. These people rely on the fact that most would not check their bank account for a recurring charge. Even after I called the company to discontinue the “service” (the option to buy their products at a “discounted” rate) they continued charging my bank account. I would gladly join in a class action suit if anyone else has been scammed by this despicable company and take them to court. If I could give negative stars I would give them MINUS FIVE STARS!!!!

I ordered a number of products for gifts for the family. The turnaround time for processing my order was very, very quick. Unfortunately, I failed to notice that I had signed up for the VIP membership and incurred a monthly fee which I could not afford. I contacted customer service and they were prompt with their reply and quickly resolved the issue above and beyond my expectations. I will definitely continue to do business with Prepared Hero. Excellent customer service is rare and should always be rewarded.

My mom gave me one. Didn't think anything about it. A year or so later I had a stove fire that went wild. (I swear that I'm a good cook.) I ended up having to grab the blanket and put everything on fire out. So, 5 stars for that. But, I ordered another set of blankets to have in my home, and already paid for them, but they never came. $42.97 was charged to my account but nothing showed up. Ordered on 4/24/2026. So, 0 stars for that. If anyone actually reads these, I'd really appreciate some sort of response. I want to get some new blankets.

Predatory sales practice- the recurring charges were not even clearly delineated on the original order. And to top it off, 2 of the five items were damaged or ineffectual. Avoid them!

The prepared hero fire blanket stopped a fire from growing when I let oil get too hot and it burst into flames. It was easy to use and put the fire out in seconds. I'm so grateful I had this product. They are sending me a replacement after filling out a quick form on their site. Great company and product. Very grateful I invested in it.

Our PREPAREDHERO Blanket saved our house from burning yesterday! I was standing a few feet away from one of our portable wireless speakers on the kitchen counter, when all of a sudden it popped extremely loud and burst into flames! At the time I was holding a small box in my hand and I first used that to swat at the flames, when I ran over to the cabinet where we store our PREPAREDHERO BLANKET, and yanked the two straps down, releasing the blanket and then quickly covered the burning speaker. Grabbed the entire burning speaker and blanket and ran out the door, threw it on the concrete and it was still burning until I covered the speaker again and eventually the fire went out. The speaker even burnt a hole in the blanket, it was that hot. We are so very grateful for this blanket and glad we didn’t try and use our fire extinguisher! I ordered some of the fire blankets from this company to give as gifts in April 2026, and they were delivered. Then I noticed that I was charged 31.79 for May and June; when I called the person told me that this was for some type of VIP service. Like some other reviewers who I saw describe the same type of charges, I asked to have the charges for both May and June refunded. They agreed to refund June but not May. Although I review my credit card statements each month, I missed seeing the one for May until I looked at the June statement and started looking back. I would advise anyone ordering from here to closely check their statements to avoid having a recurring charge that they don't want appear. I plan on calling my credit card company to block this company.

Customer service was amazing. I ordered four blankets for my family as Christmas gifts. Thé delivery company took a photo of the package at the front door of my apartment building but it was gone so I assumed the worst. Prepared hero replaced all of the blankets with no extra charge. Recently, six months later, the package was found in a closet near the apartment mailboxes. I emailed prepared hero for their return address and théy responded quickly that I didn’t need to return them. Four more apartments will be safer thanks to their great service
