I made a purchase in November 2025 and each month following that purchase a charge of 32.31 appeared in my credit statement. It went on for 6 months before my bookkeeper caught it.i did not sign up for anything or get anything for that money. I want it all refunded. December and January payments are still the issue.

Just wanted my family to be safe so I purchased the Hero Blanket for ourself and for my two daughters who live away and also bought the Prepared hero chocking machine for each of us also for any emergencies and piece of mind so the whole family will be protected !! Love them their great!!!

I purchased 4 fire blankets in February and was charged $70.32. The 4 additional monthly charges of $31.98 were on my Visa bill and went unnoticed until today. When I called they said it was for a VIP Membership which I certainly did not knowingly signup for. This review is not on the product itself but for the deceitful nature of this "VIP membership" that has no apparent value.

I decided to buy myself and my home protection. I love to cook in my kitchen and outdoors on my tiny grill. I can say I’ve had no fires out of control on either, but when I do, I’ll have protection that’s easy to use and maintain. I like that I’m able to carry it outside for the grill and keep it in the kitchen for the stove. I don’t have any directions I have to read or expiring dates I have to check. Yes I can use a fire extinguisher but I’ll be honest, I can’t remember directions, and while I’m reading directions, the fire is completely out of control! Much easier to just throw protection and smother ! I don’t plan to use this any time soon, but when I have to, it’s there

It took me a few months to realize they were charging me monthly for some "VIP membership" that somehow got stealthily added to my fire blanket order. I didn't select it. I didn't even realize I'd gotten a trial of something. They just suck it in there and started stealing $32/month from me. Fraudulent business practices.

Do Not BUY from these folks!!!!! These folks are deceptive and will attach a monthly subscription to your order-$34.30. Do not buy from them you can find these items at Lowe’s and Home Depot. They are very difficult to get a refund from and they would not return my subscription fees-I did not sign up for it-

Every home should have at least one fire blanket. I have several and I have sent all my kids and siblings one as well. A fire extinguisher is great, but the fire blanket is quick and easy for a stove fire, etc. I highly recommend Prepared Hero for you safety needs!

After receiving my order of 4 blankets, I noticed a card with them that said scan the QR code to activate. I tried, but nothing happened. Since 3 of the blankets were gifts, I was concerned if they were ready to use. I emailed Prepared Hero twice, 5/4 & 5/7 2026 and never got a reply. Not great customer service.

FRAUD,SCAM. My 89-year-old mom bought a blanket form them and they automatically entered her into the VIP membership for $29.99 a month. On the replies on the reviews, it says that they offer that at check out as an optional service. I call BS! Mom said that is a total lie! Beside what the heck are they giving you for that $29.99??? They say they have cancelled it and given us a credit. Time will tell. If she doesn't get a credit, we will dispute the charge and shut down that credit card.

Talking with the bank, she noticed the $29.99 charge. The EULA is all a lie!! The Federal Trade Commission Is very interested in every ones theft report. Please write your facts to them as soon as possible. You will like the FTC!! I liked that the VIP is optional but the EULA says it is automatically taken out and it was 5 times without enrolling! So we do not have an option. They even make a note of You better not cancel your card and shut off their money supply. They won't be happy!! I do not want a reply from prepared hero bec they do not know when to stop lieing and trying to look so nice and helpful is a lie. If you were nice and helpful you would not have stolen money and scammed us with your junk that doesn't work. And you never stopped stealing and scamming when you got caught. There prepared hero is using Trustpilot to make themselves look good after soiling themselves. My total is $595.33 send a money order. You better hope no one is injured with your trash you con people into buying. This is the same as the guy collecting credit card numbers from his 22 businesses. Guess where he is!!

Prepared Hero delivered the fire blankets as ordered but continued billing my credit card monthly incorrectly claiming I had subscribed to this unwarranted billing. They refuse to credit my credit card for months of false charges. DO NOT EVER give Prepared Hero your credit card number. This is a scam. I have not used the fire blanket but am highly suspicious of the quality based on this scam. Update: I reached out to Prepared Hero(PH) as requested. Nothing was resolved. I still say it's a scam. Any reference to continued monthly billing is weasel worded or hidden. PH deceives customers into setting PH up with a monthly income stream in exchange for something of very little value.

Well my neighbor brought me a fire blanket over after she had a grease fire in her kitchen. So I thought I would buy my kids and my sister each one for their kitchen too!! I love this idea

I have not honestly had to use the Fire Blanket, so I do not know much about the product itself. My complaint involves the automatic VIP membership it signs you up for that charges you $29.99/mo. when you purchase product. It is hidden in the terms and conditions. Stupid me, I had forgotten that I had paid in full for a purchase of 8 blankets back before Christmas. I let these $29.99 charges go on for several months after Christmas thinking I had signed up for a monthly payment plan. I finally called them after 4 mo. and asked why I continued to get charged. The customer service rep was very pleasant and explained I had signed up for a membership. She said she would cancel my membership but could only reimburse me for one charge, as stated in the terms and conditions. She said the VIP membership gives you a big discount when you return to make more purchases of their products. Who buys this kind of product on a regular basis to recoup that kind of monthly charge. ???? I should have been credited for all 5 charges! I then took a moment and went to the website to do a mock purchase to find the spot where I would have checked my desire to be a member. There was none, but in the Terms and Conditions it says it automatically signs you up for this and charges will continue until you cancel. I am certain many of us do not read the fine print. I would expect more from this company considering it receives good reviews. I feel ripped off. I expected more from this company. I should have done my research the first time I saw the charge. My bad. I paid more than double the original price I paid for the blankets. Buyer Beware !

When I purchased a security pen I received free shipping. What I didn't know was that the free shipping offer enrolled me in their VIP program. After one free month I was charged $32 per month. After 4 months I realized I was being charged a fee. Prepared Hero said their policy was to provide only a one month credit even though I never used the program. I found this shipping offer very deceitful.

UPDATE: The company reached out directly and resolved the issue. The products Ordered were delivered with no issues and are quality products. Because of the prompt fulfillment of my initial order, then the very prompt and personalized attention and resolution of the error, I am changing my rating. Mistakes happen and they stepped up quickly for full resolution.
