The QiDi box choked on PPA-GF

The QiDi box choked on PPA-GF, and the company said, “You can’t use the box for that - must be off-line, single feed.” O.k. I removed the box, but now, the printer will not feed. The support function is lame, saying I need to update offline the firmware, but the printer says “No update found”. And the printer - brand new out of the box, will not print.

I placed an order for a printer in…

I placed an order for a printer in March. I asked about the delivery time and was told it would take about one month. In April, they provided me with a FedEx tracking number. We are now in June, yet the tracking status on the FedEx website remains stuck on 'label created' with no further updates. I have been reaching out to Qidi customer service for three weeks regarding this issue. Every time I request an update, they just told me to wait for an inquiry. I still haven't received any explanation of the problem. Does it really take three weeks to conduct an inquiry with FedEx or their local warehouse? For a first experience with Qidi Tech, this is very bad. I ordered this printer for my birthday two months in advance. My birthday was a week ago, and I still have no updates, no offer for compensation, and no refund from them. I stop to write to her customer service, because I really feel like my requests for updates are just annoying them and provide me the same reply each time.

Dear customer, We are truly sorry for the frustration this logistics delay has caused you, especially missing your birthday. That’s not the experience we want for any customer. Normally, a formal investigation with FedEx or the local warehouse can take several weeks, which is why you haven’t received a clear update yet. However, if the investigation is taking too long without progress, please send your order number directly to [email protected]. Our platform operations colleague will step in and escalate the case to give you a fast and satisfactory resolution. Again, We sincerely apologize for the trouble and truly appreciate your patience.

The order and checkout process

The order and checkout process. Why is pretty seamless? Customer support did a nice job of answering any questions. I had in a timely minute. The only thing that I didn't like What's having to constantly check the order status throughout the preorder period to receive zero updates. It would have been extremely nice to see a little more in depth of what was going on. Especially in an event while your order is delayed or something happened in the shipment process. As an extremely excited customer, I feel like that would have been meaningful. Overall experience was good.

I cannot recommend the QIDI Q2.

I cannot recommend the QIDI Q2 based on my experience. At first I had ongoing print quality problems and a PTFE tube that rubbed against the glass top cover. Support acknowledged the rubbing issue and suggested I print my own riser modification for a brand-new printer. After continued troubleshooting, a much more serious issue appeared: while heating the chamber to only 65°C, the printer repeatedly reported ADC/chamber temperatures of around 130°C and triggered emergency shutdown protection multiple times. Ambient room temperature was only around 20°C. I provided logs, screenshots, videos, and spent weeks communicating with support through more than 10 emails. Instead of diagnosing or replacing the faulty component, I was instructed to manually edit the printer.cfg file and increase the thermal safety limit from 130°C to 150°C. I do not consider modifying thermal protection thresholds an acceptable solution for a new consumer printer. Raising the shutdown limit does not explain why the sensor spikes occur in the first place. The hardware itself has potential, but the support experience has been exhausting and disappointing. I expected a reliable product, not weeks of troubleshooting and manual configuration edits on a new machine.

Thank you for sharing your detailed experience, and please accept our sincere apologies for the frustration and wasted time this has caused you. Regarding the chamber temperature and emergency shutdown issue you encountered: the factory standard temperature limit for the Q2 chamber heater is actually 150°C. However, due to a configuration error on some units, the limit was incorrectly set to 130°C in the firmware. Please rest assured that the chamber heater features multiple safety redundancies, including an automatic over-temperature cutoff and self-regulating temperature control. Raising the limit back to the intended 150°C does not compromise safety, and the component itself is designed to operate reliably under that threshold. That said, I completely understand your concern about modifying safety-related configuration files on a brand-new printer. For the PTFE tube rubbing issue, the QIDI box comes with a riser. If you are still experiencing any abnormal temperature readings or other issues, please do not hesitate to contact our after-sales team again for a proper hardware diagnosis and replacement if needed. We truly appreciate your patience and willingness to help us improve. Thank you again for your honest feedback and understanding.

Assembly instructions aren’t very…

Assembly instructions aren’t very clear. On line videos don’t show the correct model. Getting an “invalid version” error when I try to log in. Still have to sort that out.

Very sorry for the trouble caused by the unclear assembly instructions, mismatched online videos, and the “invalid version” login error. Please make sure you are using QIDI Maker – the Max4 printer is only compatible with this app. For any further issues, please feel free to contact our after-sales support team. They will help resolve your questions. You can find their contact details and warranty policy here: https://us.qidi3d.com/pages/warranty-policy-after-sales-support Thank you for your patience.

for a tech company they are not very technical

I have a Qidi Plus 4 which had a litany of issues which were eventually resolved. My issue now is that with the release of the Qidi Max 4 I would like to purchase one but when you go to their website they will start the order then advise that it is currently impossible to ship a Max 4 To my location... Now that's fine, the problem starts when they start emailing me telling me I have left items in my basket and can "checkout now" (yes items that they REFUSE to ship to me) and then I am almost weekly receiving emails on why i need to buy a Max 4 to rub salt in the wounds they keep trying to get me to buy one of their machines but yet refuse to ship one to me... and then in those emails you are advised "if you have an issue" to email a guy called "Alex" who will help you out, then when you email that address , it bounces back as unknown .... Qidi Get your act together....
