What I did not like about this transaction is the impersonal COLD attitudes from the agent that started the transaction to begin with. It was a rude experience all the way around. The agent was out of state and it was obvious that the pay check for her was only her goal. The appraiser literally ran through our home within 15 minutes and all his information he gave ended up being from the old stats from somewhere on our public records. My house was appraised as a 3 bedroom with 2 1/2 baths and it is a 4 bedroom 2 1/2 baths. Mu husband added a nice legal addition in the year of 2002. I was told that I possible had 800 square feet added to my house with out a permit therefore I was at fault. I was to blame!
I literally had to argue my defense with no change! So my appraisal came in lower and that was that. Also, with that, they charged me a full appraisal fee over $600 and I saw on my closing statement that Rocket mortgage receives over $200 from that fee which I figured. They all received full pay and I was left with a overcharged appraisal that was incorrect and I could do nothing about it. One day I will refinance my entire mortgage and leave them. At one time I thought a lot of this company but this was terrible. Very disappointed with the whole thing. We will see if they allow this review to be posted.
From the start of my home buying experience, rocket mortgage was helpful in every step, from every crazy question I had Joseph and his team helped in every way they could to make the process as easy and simple as possible. I would highly recommend anyone buying a home give rocket mortgage a call and let them put your mind at ease.
The people were always great and helpful. The closing process was a little frustrating. It seemed like they took forever to request documents. Closing was delayed because they waited until 5 days before to get the tax info. They didn’t ask for a payoff until the day before closing and we almost had to delay the closing for a second time.
I want to mention Ayden Acheson for his patience and care he gave me in navigating the Rocket Mtg app. He did an excellent 👏 job in helping.
Also Danielle Gross was my assignedperson to close. I called her to try and get someone to come to my home, for closing. She explained she lived in Detroit and myself in Kalamazoo. She went ahead and called the right people to get the closing at my home. I thanked her very much for the extra effort given.
Mr. Tom Renaurt was the closing agent at my home. He was very courteous and professional. He made the closing very easy.
