WARNING Do not get ADT.

I’ve had ADT for years & now that it’s come down to moving and a bit of a financial hardship they’ve taken full advantage and have shown no loyalty. I’m writing this review to hopefully save someone from going through the same thing. This company will steal your money and then say they can’t do anything about it. I was put under a contract without my knowledge and being a month away from it ending and not knowing I had one I chose to end my services because I had to move. I verified with the agent if I could do so without any penalties multiple times and they told me not to worry and I didn’t even have to turn in any of the equipment. I explained my situation on why I needed to cancel and they were really understanding… only to come find out that they never told me I had a contract and that I was now cancelling prematurely, less than a month was left on it by the way. Rather than the agent explaining that to me, they told me there was no problem & now I’m paying a cancellation fee that I was unaware of. The supervisor told me they couldn’t do anything. They told them that all calls are recorded but refuse to bring up the call to hear me ask and verify multiple times if there was a cancellation fee and the employee telling me otherwise. I’ve been with them for over 9 years and they didn’t do a single thing for me in the end. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. There’s other companies with better rates that you can trust. ADT takes full advantage of customers when they need it most even though they have all the proof that I was lied to and stolen from.
