Worried I wouldn’t have enough credit or the money needed by the time payment was due.

I honestly thought I would have to put college on hold again after seeing how expensive my classes were. With only four days until tuition was due, Sallie Mae came through for me. The application process was super easy without a thousand questions and unnecessary documents. Sallie Mae emailed all the documents to my school to be certified and one day later my school certified them and my tuition was paid before the due date. More importantly, the affordable monthly payments made it possible for me to stay enrolled and focus on what really matters, earning my degree. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to keep moving forward.

The whole process of applying was smooth and easy. The questions were simple to understand and fill out. The whole application took no more than 15 minutes to complete. The approval was quick also. Lastly, the choices of how to pay it back was straight forward and also easy to understand.

Application process could be better

I needed extra money beyond what the school asked for bc rent and food are kind of important (and the little savings I have are reserved for buying a car) and you people jack up my interest rate 5% without giving me a way to explain why I need the extra money. THEN once I accept the terms you have the gall to offer me extra money for “additional expenses” screw you. Credit to your support staff, they’re as helpful as they can be. I’d say you should make it more thorough to explain what people need the money for rather than asking for bare minimum information and screwing over young, financially vulnerable people.

I hope I spelled his name right but Deshawn in Delaware was absolutely amazing. This is the second time I’ve called Sallie and each time I was lucky to get him. He’s been incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He was patient and explained everything to me. He was professional and communicated clearly. Wonderful Customer Service!!!

I had problems in the area of getting a Sallie Mae account. My laptop went off when I got to that part.I called the toll free number for Sallie Mae and was connected to a wonderful customer service representative named Kastora. (not sure of spelling). She was very patient with me and answered my questions. She stayed on line with me as long as I needed and did not rush me!
