Overall, I think it was a great prep provider. However, I do think it was to much computational focused. I think Kaplan should focuse more in the actual theory behind each concept, just like GARP did. Aditionaly, I felt that the GARP mocks and actual exam were way harder than Kaplan mocks.

The actual material and pedagogy is strong, however the delivery is very spotty. It has many tell-tale signs of a company more concerned with protecting their IP than they are with providing their users with a good experience. Video on the android app was frequently unwatchable - to the point where I would use wifi tethering with my laptop to view on a browser when on the train instead of directly on my phone. QBank quiz questions would also fail to render correctly in their app sometimes making numbers or figures unreadable and the question unanswerable. I tried altering fonts and sizes but the figures never rendered when I was patient enough to try it. Even on desktop browsers I would sometimes see video cut out or be unplayable in the Chrome browser. For an education program this expensive I was deeply disappointed with the delivery of the material, although when using enough workarounds to access the materials smoothly the material was generally strong and valuable.

The instructor is very knowledgeable, and the reading and video materials are carefully structured. Additionally, the calendar is a great tool for time management, while the QBank is helpful for monitoring learning progress.

The combination of written content, flashcards, videos, mini tests, longer more customisable tests plus mocks provided made it a great choice for the comprehensive support. The CFA is a beast so nothing can make it ‘easy’ but with Kaplan it certainly made it digestible over a long period of time via the study schedule
