I thought I lost it all
Jason’s customer service was outstanding! 99.9% data recovery. I had everything backed up from a failed NAS. Double checked everything. Setup a new NAS and started to copy the data over. Well, the drive was recognized but wouldn’t mount. I thought it was gone but SDR came through.

I was told "We see this all the time, easy recovery" - then I was charged near the "maximum amount" they would charge for such a recovery? ALSO, I dealt with the Canadian arm of the company - why was I billed in USD?

The experience was great, starting immediately with the phone call when I got a human voice on the other end. From that Point, Kyle was kind, considerate, understanding, and upfront with everything. When I got the hard drive back, all of my files were there, and Kyle immediately walked me through getting it back up and running. Highly recommend it!
We Were Told Recovery Was Successful, But the Most Important Data Was Missing
Our family paid $2,247.55 to Secure Data Recovery after being told that the recovery was largely successful. The primary reason for seeking recovery was our family photo collection. The recovered data was delivered in a highly disorganized format that was difficult to navigate and verify. Because of the condition of the recovered files, we were unable to determine whether our complete photo library had actually been recovered. We were told that missing files were likely mixed into the "Lost Files" recovery. After receiving the recovered data, we independently used recovery software costing less than $100 and recovered an intact 810 GB Mac Photos Library with organized chronological browsing by year and month. This recovery was substantially more usable and easier to verify than what we received from Secure Data Recovery. Had we understood that our primary photo library was not being delivered as a functioning Photos Library, we would have evaluated the value of the service very differently. We contacted the company multiple times regarding our concerns, asked questions about missing data, and requested additional assistance. After expressing our dissatisfaction and requesting further help, we did not receive any further response. This review reflects our personal experience and the recovery results we observed.

After first contact the process flowed seamlessly. The WD Passport drive had failed. Secure data recovery was able to fully restore all the lost files to a secondary drive.

They were super professional and it was a seamless process. They recovered all of my data and because of them I was able to get all of my clients back their photos. I did not get my issue resolved. There apparently was nothing that could be done to repair the disk drive, or I was not going to pay the amount of money to go any further in the process. The high rating was because of the integrity of the tech that I was dealing with. The data, on the drive, was personal and not business, so I made the difficult decision no to proceed.

My experience with Secure Data Services, especially working with Jay, was excellent.
