They do the initial assessment for free and provide you with an estimate. They have the phone shipped to their location, but I think you pay for shipping back if you do not proceed with the data recovery but it is stated online. Once the estimate is provided and you agree to continue, they get your credit card info but do not charge you until the job is done. Jonathan was super helpful and answered any questions/concerns I had within the same day. They were able to recover my photos (and music but I was more concerned about photos) from my fried motherboard. The billing is in USD though so it will be even more in CAD just a heads up. If you have the money and sentimental about photos/memories that you didn’t have backed up or on iCloud, it’s worth it because if not those photos are lost.

What a scary time to think you''ve lost all of your pictures & memories from your life. I don''t know how you put a price on something like that. I felt like our representative, Kyle walked with us through every step with a full explanation and gave us peace of mind. We felt like we were putting our best foot forward to go with Secure Data Recovery Services to salvage a seemingly hopeless situation.
We saw cheaper options, but we didn''t run across anyone that seemed more confident that they could save the majority of our pictures, which they, in fact, ... did!!!
