Absolute clowns. advertise bad credit. I don't even have bad credit. over 700 scores. no bills, no past due, 5 year residence, great income, big down payment, and financing 71% of book. Not one person ever contacted me. Not one question asked of me. The denial letter was 1000000% incorrect. and they hit me with 6 inquiries. They should be embarrassed. Update. Your response has been documented.
We’re sorry to hear you’re frustrated with your experience. We understand that being declined for financing can be disappointing. It’s important to understand that financing for recreational vehicles and other recreational loans can be very different from traditional auto or consumer financing. Each lender has its own underwriting requirements and evaluates more than just a credit score. In this case, the age and history of the accounts on the credit report were a factor. While the accounts may be in good standing, having most or all of the credit history opened in the past few months can make it more difficult to meet certain lenders’ requirements for recreational financing. We submitted the application to three lenders in an effort to find an approval, but unfortunately, all three lenders declined the application based on their individual lending criteria. These decisions are made by the lenders and are not something we control. We appreciate you giving us the opportunity. Thank you for considering Southeast Financial.
Amanda Vaillencourt was excellent from the start and made the process easy. Everything with our loan took place while we were traveling and she made sure we were communicated with clearly. Once the loan closed Alex Lampley helped us with the POAs and was great too. Highly recommend!

They were the only institution I could find that will fund a loan for a motorhome purchased from a private seller. Our rig is 7 years old and that also did not matter. Every step was professional and they supported me through all of my questions with a person I could call directly. We even got a great rate. It was perhaps the best lending experience I have ever had.

The experience was amazing. I never thought I could get financed with a chapter 7 bankruptcy. Communication is a little slow but other than that- four stars.

Amanda did an amazing job. Very timely in responses and our loan process did not drag out a long time. She got us closed quick. It seems overwhelming at first when you look at the list of things you have to do, but it really is not hard at all.

I went to the website and filled out what they ask, IE, the amount needed, the down payment and the total of month and they quoted 7.24% for 120,144,180 and 240 months with payments ranging from $1042.96 (120mo), $925.40 (144mo), $810.82 (180m0) and $701.92 (240mo). Two days later, they said, Congragulations, you're conditionally approved, then they give the Loan shark numbers. They make it sound like they"re on your side before they hit you with a bucket of cold water in the face, per say, they came back with a loan of $84,736.29 vs what I requested of $89,877.29 and they wanted 13.95% and a down payment of $8550.00 and a documentation fee monthly of $399 and a monthly payment of $1050.64. Southeast Financial must think some people are stupid, idiots or on drugs to pay those amount. Who in their right mind would pay $252,153.60 for a $89,877.29 Motor home that's going to loose 10%-20% as soon as you drive it of the lot and give this crooked loan sharking financial institution an profit of $167417.31 plus $8550.00 down payment and a document fee of $399. So, they would actually screw me out of $176366.31 . That's almost paying two times the value of the motor home. Highly and Extremely "NOT RECOMMENDED" at all.
