I have been with this storage on Sheffield in Chicago for a long time (I mean it's storage) I have definitely seen a decline in accessibility since the pandemic and a very saddening turn on customer service here at this location at least.

Waders need for storage access
Edit: I was contacted by the staff about my problem this morning. When writing this review I was emotionally charged and did not have all the facts. A pipe busted resulting in the water damage and a reasonable solution to my problem has been reached. Just came back from my unit and the basement has about 2 inches of water. I'm sure its been there for more than a day. Apparently the staff that works there doesn't care about clean up. ALOT of stuff ruined. Only been there 2 months

Feeling secure
I'd use the storage place for the last few years I live in a different state and I feel very secure and leave my items there The camera and the security of getting into the property I take very seriously as an issue why I use this place keep up the Good work it's appreciated
Impossible to reach, terrible customer service
I’ve had a terrible experience at Self Storage 1- The customer service is the worst I’ve ever seen. There’s no way to contact the office directly, instead I’ve had to call the phone number, leave a message, and wait around hoping for a call back. They’re uncommunicating and purposefully misleading. I’m still waiting for a response to confirm that they will stop charging me for a unit I moved out of months ago.
