Sold skins, payment rejected by Revolut, then account banned after 1 month

I sold skins on ShadowPay. After the trade was completed on Steam, they were supposed to send me the payment in Bitcoin. Revolut rejected the incoming BTC transfer and returned the funds to the original address on 26 September 2026. I have the full screenshot showing “Mittel zurückgeschickt” + the Transaction Hash and Return Hash. I never received the money, and the skins were already gone. I opened a support ticket and waited over a month. Support only kept saying they were checking. After I asked for a clear solution, they blocked my access to the website (I now only get 403 Forbidden). I lost both the skins and the payment, and now I can’t even access my account.

Hello, We are sorry for the frustration this situation has caused. According to our information, the funds have been returned to your balance, and you can withdraw them again. We apologize again for the inconvenience.

Worst experience with them

Hello, It has been over 1 month since I opened this ticket. The situation is clear and documented: • Revolut rejected the 0.010 BTC payment on 26 September and returned the funds the same day (screenshots + transaction hashes already provided). • The payment never reached your wallet. • The skins were already transferred on Steam. I need a clear answer within 48 hours: 1. Will you return the skins to my Steam account? 2. Or will you credit my ShadowPay balance with the equivalent amount? If I do not receive a concrete resolution by then, I will escalate the case publicly (Trustpilot + other platforms) and explore further options. Please stop delaying and resolve this. Thank you.

SCAM ALERT: KYC demanded only after you deposit, NO REFUNDS

Wanted to buy an item, topped up $23 with USDT. The first top-up credited less than the site showed, so I had to top up $2 again by card. Not a single word about KYC before depositing, requirement only popped up after the funds were credited and I clicked the buy button. Support (request #55603) refused to refund me or let me buy the item without KYC. According to them, crypto refunds are "not possible", even back to the same wallet with the fees paid from my balance. Instead they asked for a photo of my ID and of the bank card used to make the deposit. When I asked which regulation prevents a refund, they didn't name any. Their FAQ doesn't have a single word about mandatory KYC for buying items. So why are they asking for KYC in the first place? My deposit came from ByBit. If that's what triggered their AML? seriously? With all other platforms all was OK, but that shit made me deposit twice, tried to force KYC and then refused any refund. No item, no refund, $25 and a lot of time lost with their useless support. Stay away.

Hello, We are sorry for the frustration this situation has caused. To comply with strict AML and financial regulations, our security system may require identity verification (KYC) before funds can be used for purchases or withdrawals. Because blockchain transactions are irreversible on-chain, legal compliance rules prevent our team from issuing manual refunds or bypassing verification to make purchases on a user's behalf. Your personal data is handled strictly under secure data protection protocols. We will follow up in ticket #55603 to help you complete verification securely and unlock your balance.

Can't trade

My skins aren't showing up in the trade list; Support gave me the runaround, wasting a lot of time without actually solving the problem. Unusable!

Horrible experience

Horrible experience, had to revert a trade. Of course, they showed a minimal withdrawal AFTER putting a trade in.

Reply from ShadowPay2026-08-25

Hello. We're very sorry to hear about this. Please note that the minimum withdrawal amount is always displayed in the Withdrawal tab and can be viewed before the trade. I want to assure you that it hasn't changed or appeared only after your trade; it has always been the same

Extremely Disappointing Withdrawal Experience

I had been actively using this platform for around two years, and during that time, I made withdrawals totaling nearly $4,000. Over the past month, I had to visit the website every day just to check whether the maintenance had been completed so I could withdraw $150. For a platform this large and previously reliable, having such a long and uncertain withdrawal process was extremely disappointing. I was finally able to withdraw my money today, which is why I believe they deserve 2 stars. Unfortunately, after this experience, I don't think I will use this platform again.

Hello! We are truly sorry for the frustration caused by these withdrawal delays and the additional fees. This is certainly not the experience we want for our users. Please note that payment processors set daily limits on certain withdrawal methods, and once these limits are reached, users need to wait for the next day's reset. We would like to look into your case and help resolve this. Could you please provide your Steam ID.

Hidden Deposit Fee, Faking "Lowest" when manual selling

TLDR: USDT deposit have a ~0.1% hidden fee. Card deposits have ~20% fee. For crypto withdrawal you need to catch a "working hour" from 0:00 UTC to who knows, i think to 1:00 UTC or so. Selling. Sold a knife here, but when money was frozen website just died completely. After recovering, money withdrawal was not available for few days, and even when it recovered, I need to catch a "working hour" (from 0:00 UTC to idk, guess 1:00 UTC) to get money. And the fee is 5% which very high, however they wrote it in profile. Faking lowest: when you list your items, their "Lowest" suggesting is straigthly fake. Real lowest listed Karambit Night (MW) is listed for $614, but when you want to sell there is a choice to set at Instant, Lowest ($581) and Average. $581 is ~5% less than actual cheaper listing. After selling there for suggested "lowest" user will get ~85.7% of value in cash (+5% deception +5% sale +5% withdraw fees) instead of 95-98% if use other real-money marketplaces instead. Buying. Used a promo code to get 3% deposit bonus so i could spend less of my money, website told me: (deposit) 376.43 >> (get) 384.71. I spent 377.93 usdt on binance (1.5 usdt network fee) but got 384.32 on balance which is ~0.1% less. Then decided to fill difference by using bank card, and it took me 2.19 EURO to get +2 USD on balance, WHAT? And even after paying more than expected when buying a skin i got message: "Seller Error. Seller is offline at this moment". So why didnt the service check seller and item availability before deposit window? This is the worst marketplace for both selling and buying skins due to hidden USDT and high bank card deposit. Also sell and withdrawal fees are really high, other services have 0-4% total sale and withdraw fee. After all i got a knife and even bought one more, but with understanding that i will get less, i deposit a ~1 usdt more. Pushed review from 1 to 2 stars. I dont think that sharing my steamid will fix the core of these problems.

Don’t sell your items here

Don’t sell your items here. I sold mine waited about 2 weeks trying everyday to withdraw tb e money would be able since transfer were not working and crypto had a daily limit which basically left me with no option to withdraw the money. After around 2 weeks I decided to do a tipalti transfer which took a cut of almost 30$ over my withdrawal. Through the entire period I contacted support and they would always tell me the same thing: wait until 12 pm utc and try to withdraw which wouldn’t work. Total scam.

A serious security incident followed by repeatedly broken compensation promises

On 19 July 2026, I experienced a serious incident involving the official ShadowPay TradeManager Chrome extension and an item listed for approximately USD 3,300. A sale-style notification appeared in the browser where the official extension was installed. It looked like a legitimate ShadowPay transaction and instructed me to approve a Steam trade. Relying on that notification and ShadowPay’s normal workflow, I approved it through Steam Mobile Authenticator. The item was transferred to an unintended third-party account, but no matching sale, transaction or payment existed on ShadowPay. My case was handled under Support Request #55265. In preserved written communications, ShadowPay representatives referred to a website and/or extension vulnerability, exploitation connected to the trade and other affected users. The original wording is preserved in screenshots and recordings. Steam rollback recovered the item but imposed a 30-day trading restriction, preventing my normal trading activity. ShadowPay initially agreed in writing to pay USD 2,300 after rollback. I relied on that commitment and completed the rollback. The agreement was then withdrawn, reconfirmed and finally reduced to USD 1,000. I accepted the USD 1,000 because I had rent, bills and essential living expenses to pay. By then, I no longer trusted the company as before and feared that rejecting it might leave me with nothing. I signed no waiver, release or full-and-final settlement, and I did not abandon my claim for the remaining USD 1,300. Even this payment was mishandled. Two support representatives assured me that the full USD 1,000 would reach me, yet the BNB transfer was worth only about USD 939–940 when received. The incident, repeated reversals, delays and uncertainty caused serious psychological distress and affected my sleep, concentration and emotional wellbeing. I spent many days preserving evidence, recording communications, archiving pages, checking transactions and trying to obtain a clear answer. Reports or submissions have been made or attempted through: National CSIRT-CY Cyprus Police Cybercrime Unit Cyprus Consumer Protection Service SingCERT / Cyber Security Agency of Singapore Singapore Police Force – I-Witness Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore CASE Singapore Google Chrome Web Store Google Chrome Web Store One Stop Support No regulator, police authority or court has yet made a final determination. This review describes my documented personal experience. A redacted public evidence package has been prepared, but Trustpilot does not allow external links or attachments in reviews. If Trustpilot’s Content Integrity team requests verification, I am ready to provide the complete evidence directly, including screenshots, recordings, Steam trade and rollback records, full ShadowPay correspondence, archived pages, extension and payment records, metadata and SHA-256 hashes. I consent to Trustpilot reviewing and, where permitted, using appropriately redacted supporting material. Some evidence is not public because it contains personal, account or third-party data and may be relevant to regulatory or legal proceedings. The complete original evidence remains preserved for competent authorities, courts and legal representatives. I am preparing to consult lawyers in two jurisdictions. Depending on their advice and official responses, further evidence that can lawfully be disclosed may be made public. A platform promoted as protecting users from fake or incorrect trades should provide a reliable workflow and honour clear written commitments when something goes wrong. That was not my experience.

Hello! We're very sorry you were dissatisfied with our services. We reached a mutually beneficial agreement, and you accepted our agreed-upon compensation of $1,000, after which you promptly withdrew the funds. We fulfilled all our agreements, but after receiving the compensation and withdrawing the funds to your account, you stated that the compensation amount was not satisfactory. We, for our part, were under no obligation to do anything else and fulfilled our part of the agreement in full.

SHADOWPAY SCAM Refusing to refund $280 deposit / Looks like an exit scam

Looks like an exit scam. I deposited $280 via USDT on July 24th to buy an item, but the transaction failed. The site has been completely broken for over 11 days, and only recently did they finally add a "technical maintenance" banner. Support has been lying to me for 6 days straight, repeatedly saying "it will be fixed tomorrow," while explicitly refusing to refund my deposited funds. I cannot use my money and I cannot withdraw it. DO NOT DEPOSIT ANY MONEY HERE BECAUSE YOU WILL NEVER SEE IT AGAIN! My Steam ID: 76561198021889532 TRUSTPILOT PLEASE NOTE: I am explicitly providing my Steam ID (76561198021889532) in advance here, but the company usually asks for it again in their response just for show to make it look like they are helping.

Hello, We sincerely apologize for the delay caused by the maintenance. We assure you that your funds are safe and will be credited to your account as soon as the maintenance is finished. As mentioned in our FAQ, processing a direct refund for these transactions is unfortunately not possible. We appreciate your patience while our team completes the remaining technical work.

Its Scammers!!!

Unfortunately, I didn't read the latest reviews about this platform before contacting them. To my regret, I deposited $2,500 on July 30, 2026, hoping to get a good deal on a knife. After much struggle, I managed to deposit the required amount. Afterward, the system forcibly sent me to KYC without warning. Thankfully, I passed the verification without any issues (I'd be curious what would have happened if I'd deposited the money and failed the verification). After successfully depositing, I decided to buy the knife I needed but find a message stating that the site was experiencing technical issues and the purchase was impossible. These notifications weren't present before I deposited. After a lengthy back-and-forth with support, they asked me to send a photo showing my bank card, my ID, and the handwritten inscription. They didn't explain the reason for forcing me to pass KYC a second time, but I sent everything they asked for, and they left to "check." As soon as I submitted all the documents and was put on hold by them, I discovered that the knife I wanted to buy had DISAPPEARED FROM THE WEBSITE (remember, the website is down for everyone)!!! After another hour of arguing with support, they removed all the knives of that type I could afford!!! Before my request there were 5 lots with prices that I could pay. Now - 0. Friends, this is absolutely a scam. I don't know what awaits me and my $2,500 next, but I'll keep you updated. In the meantime, DO NOT GO HERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES AND TRUST THEM YOUR MONEY!!! Accepts deposits on a non-functional site and refuses refunds — Looks like an exit scam

On July 24th, I deposited funds on shadowpay.com. Visually, the website looked fully operational, but only after trying to make a purchase did I discover that the platform has been completely non-functional since July 19th. On my previous review, they replied with a generic template asking for my Steam ID just to look good in public. In reality, zero action was taken. In support chats, they explicitly stated that crypto deposits cannot be refunded at all. Furthermore, since July 24th, they have been feeding me the exact same story every single day — claiming the site will be fixed in "1–2 days." They said it yesterday, they said it today, and nothing changes. Why even accept deposits on July 24th when the site was already broken for days, let alone refuse crypto refunds and hold users hostage on a platform that only pretends to work? Holding users' money hostage on a broken platform with zero timeline for a fix or refund is completely unacceptable. Don't bother writing that "you are deeply sorry" under this review — just refund my money, as I no longer require your services. Stay away — do not deposit any money here! SHADOWPAY This is a complete scam

I registered an account and deposited nearly $300 specifically to purchase an expensive CS2 knife right away, as I had a day off work and wanted to use it immediately. Only AFTER my funds were credited did I discover that purchases and trading features were completely disabled due to unannounced technical issues. Accepting deposits from users—especially new ones—without any prior warning that the core functionality is broken is completely unacceptable. Had there been a warning banner during the deposit process, I would have used another platform and already had my item. Instead, my money has been held hostage for several days with no clear ETA and no ability to issue an immediate refund. Support keeps telling me "we understand your frustration," but those are just empty words. In reality, I haven't received any compensation, no bonuses for this terrible experience, and my deposit issue remains completely unresolved. Even after I eventually get my money back, the impression of this service is completely ruined. They cannot return my wasted time, ruined day off, and the stress this situation caused. If a platform cannot deliver its service, it should not accept people's money. Highly NOT recommended. At the time of publication, three days have already passed since my deposit. Updated; The support chat informed me that the issue on their website has been ongoing since July 19th. Why are they still accepting deposits then? When I deposited on July 24rd, they told me it would be fixed in 1–2 days. Today in chat, they told me 1–2 days AGAIN. I cannot buy any skins, nor can I withdraw my money. Update: Support chat told me that they won't issue a refund and that I now have to wait until the end of the week, and maybe then they will fix the site. =) Here is their official response: "Unfortunately, we cannot issue direct crypto refunds. Your funds are completely safe on your balance, but you will need to wait until the site is fully operational again to use or withdraw them. All features are expected to be back up and running by the end of this week." Naturally, they have no problem accepting deposits effortlessly right now This is a complete scam. Do not even think about depositing any money here! Steam ID: 76561198021889532 Transaction number 59030647

Fixed now

I recently deposited money into shadowpay, only to immediately encounter the error message "Purchasing items is unavailable now." Because of this error, I am completely locked out of my deposit with no way to purchase items or withdraw my money. Customer support has completely gone silent with no response, and there is zero ETA or transparency on when or if this will be resolved. Looking around online, there are dozens of other users experiencing the exact same issue with identical bad reviews across Reddit and other platforms. Until this is officially resolved and users regain access to their funds, I strongly advise everyone to stay away and do not use this platform. update: page is now fixed and transactions are working but still the possibility of deposit with core of the website down is something I can’t understand
