We have a very young active chocolate lab who is loving living in the country. With this fence she has her bounderies and loving it. She chased a neighbor's cat and stopped short even before the caution sound. She is one happy dog now.

Thank you for your review of the SpotOn collar. We are happy to hear you have found success with the collar and that it has allowed your Lab to live a life truly unleashed.
The collar works great and I love the tracking app. It was easy to set up and the few times I reached out to customer service, they were all friendly and helpful!
On off switch is terrible. Also battery life while tracking is terrible.

Thank you for your review and feedback; feedback like yours truly helps improve the product over time. Tracking will use a significant portion of the battery if left on for an extended period. We recommend turning off tracking once the dog has been located. If you would like us to review your collar and ensure everything is working as intended, or if you have a few suggestions for improvement to the collar, we would love to hear from you. Tara after 3-4 weeks if training is now responding very well with her spot on collar
We are surrounded by deer and wildlife here in the Catskills where we just moved from city life .. having this collar has been a great relief
As she s a German Shepherd and her instinct is to herd and chase .. we did adjust the collar to level 10 and the minute she gets to close to the ravine and woods she turns around and comes back . So I’m very pleased with that
Thank you

I love the SpotOn collars. They are pricey but work really well. I love being able to change fence if I need to. Only problem I’m having is collars are barely a year out and are already losing battery life.

Thank you for providing your review and feedback. Many things can cause your battery to deplete faster, such as the dog constantly testing the fence or enabling tracking for extended periods. We would like to look into your collar's battery life. Please reach out to us when you have time at [email protected] or call 603-488-1504.
The battery life, wish it lasted longer. Like 20 hours. Ours seems to last like 14 to 16 hours. And when traveling away and the dog with a sitter I would like to have better real time check up none of this sorry weak signal. I had cell service and it would take forever to connect and when did had a hars time. For the cost can be better.

Not worth the money spent.. Fences float a bit and doesn’t seem to ever really correct my dogs course most reply on these just to track my dog which I could have done for a lot cheaper.

We're sorry to hear that SpotOn hasn't met your expectations. Fence accuracy and reliable corrections are important, and we understand your frustration if your dogs haven't been responding consistently as expected.
SpotOn is designed to provide containment through GPS-based virtual fencing, while cellular service supports features like tracking and notifications. Fence performance and correction behavior can be affected by factors such as GPS signal conditions, fence setup, and training. We'd appreciate the opportunity to review your setup and collar data to better understand what may be happening and help determine whether adjustments can improve your experience.
Please reach out to our Support Team at [email protected] or call 603-488-1504. Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm EST and Saturdays from 8 am to 12 pm EST. We'd be happy to take a closer look and help get your system performing as intended.
Great software! The fence is accurate, the tracking is really nice, and the training program worked amazing. Our dane was unruly this past year and got in with the neighbors goats and the other neighbors sheep. Thankfully he's too slow to keep up and get one but an escape artist none the less. We had too many holes under our fence line from coyotes to make the fence perfect year round. The spot on collar really made a big difference. Many months of no escapes and he's been shocked just a couple times when he tested the boundaries early on. Since then smooth sailing. We couldn't be happier and our neighbors appreciate seeing him stay in our fields.

Thank you for your review and for sharing your experience with the SpotOn system. We are so happy to hear you have found success with the system and get to have some peace of mind knowing your dane is safely within the yard, living a life truly unleashed.
My dog's learning curve is still in existence, but she is improving quickly. I was hesitant to turn her completely loose in my back yard for two reasons. One being the very busy highway which runs down on side of my property, the second is her attraction to chasing rabbits off the property. Fortunately the rabbits are inclined to run into the brush away from the highway. I still go out with her but I no longer carry a leash with me while we play or just wander around.
The collar and the software are both excellent, although I have occasionally been caught off guard by the amount of shift in the boundary. I expect the technology will improve over time and possibly the bulk of the collar will diminish. On a twenty pound dog with a small neck it is a bit heavy and does not form a nice circle around the neck.

The collar itself is quite heavy and cumbersome. Seems to track decent. My dog is 45 lbs and considered 'midsize', for reference.

Thank you for the review and feedback. SpotOn collars are recommended for dogs weighing at least 15 pounds with a neck size of 10 inches or greater; the unit itself weighs about half a pound. With these recommendations in mind, the collar should not cause any discomfort to your dog. If you have additional questions, please reach out to us at [email protected] or call 603-488-1504.
We love Bella’s collar she is a stubborn young boxer but caught on quickly. Every time I have called about features on the collar I have received quick and accurate explanations. We decided to add the plan to be able to track her and it was easy and spot on ! I also love the call dog feature she has come home every time!

Excellent Real Time Communication and Responses between Tech Support and Engineering Dept to resolve most of our Metal Roof, Dense Tree Canopy and Intermittent Cellular service shortcomings affecting fence containment and tracking.
Works great! I have two high energy labradors and followed all the training videos. My labs are responsive to the vibration alone and after 1 year have not needed further correction. My only wish is that the cellular tracking service covered two collars instead of 10 dollars a month per collar.
My 2 Brittanys are doing great on the collars. I live off gird but also on a busy dirt road, the collars keep them safe. I deducted a star because the collars do not always have connection.

Thank you for sharing your experience! We're glad the collars are helping keep your two Brittanys safe. We understand your frustration with occasional connection issues and appreciate your feedback. If there is any issue with Bluetooth or Satellite connection, please reach out to us for troubleshooting. If the collar has a weak connection to cellular, it could be due to the signal in the area, and reccomned powering cycling the collar to see if you can establish a new cellular connection with the unit to improve tracking and notification capabilities.
My dog Kalvin is loving his collar he uses every bit of the 12.85 acres he has. How ever my dog Klarabell doesn’t care about boundaries she understands the signals but when it comes to the static she knows she only has to bare it for about 5’ and she’s good with that. If the static could continue until she gets back in the yard that would be awesome

Thank you for sharing your experience with Kalvin and Klarabell! We’re thrilled to hear Kalvin is enjoying all 12.85 acres of his freedom. Every dog responds differently to boundary training, and we appreciate your feedback on how Klarabell interacts with the correction. Proper training is key to helping dogs learn to respond to the boundary consistently, and our team is always happy to provide training guidance if needed. We can also offer you a free virtual 30-minute one-on-one training session with a certifed SpotOn trainer to help Klarabell understand and respect the boundaries. Please reach out to us if you have any questions.

My 2 collars isn't working and my dogs are able to wonder . Plus I never received my refund for being dinged an extra subscription fee so I'm paying for 3 subscriptions when I only have 2 and my collars don't work half the time. It's a lot of money to spend for them to not work consistently

We’re sorry to hear about the ongoing frustration with your collars and understand how concerning it is when your dogs are able to wander outside their boundaries. We’d appreciate the opportunity to look into the issues you’ve experienced and help determine what may be causing the inconsistent performance.
Regarding the additional subscription charge, our records show that the refund was processed and charged back to your PayPal account, as communicated by our support agent on July 16. We understand how frustrating it would be to believe that the refund was still outstanding, and we’re happy to help clarify the transaction if needed.
Please reach back out to our support team so we can review your collars and account further and work toward getting everything functioning as expected.
