Hi Jul, Thank you for your review. We're sorry to hear that you feel Stackry charged unnecessary fees. That is certainly not the experience we want for our customers. I believe you are referring to your recent shipment containing essential oil, which was classified as a hazardous material due to its potential flammability. Because shipments travel by air and may be exposed to varying temperatures and pressure conditions, flammable items must be processed and shipped with special handling to comply with international safety regulations. Many essential oils are considered flammable or combustible, depending on the specific oil and its flash point. To verify the classification, we requested a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) from the supplier; however, the supplier was unable to provide one. In the absence of this documentation, we must follow carrier guidelines and exercise caution when determining how the item can be shipped. Additionally, international dangerous goods regulations require specific packaging standards and limit the economy shipping services available for these types of products. Our $12.50 dangerous goods fee helps cover the additional labor, packaging materials, and a portion of the hazardous materials surcharges imposed by our carriers. We work hard to keep our shipping rates competitive and are always looking for ways to reduce costs for our customers while maintaining compliance with shipping regulations.
