About this business

We help musicians connect with curators. Our goal is to make it transparent and easy, but we can't promise guaranteed success. Curators are picky and often to the point. The space is highly competitive and you need to have tough skin.

SubmitHub is a big money-grabbing mess

SubmitHub is a big money-grabbing mess. Playlist curators who give 0 chances. You always get rejected. Easy money for these playlist curators. I'm not using this mess anymore; I'm not going to waste my money on this again. I've used Submit Hub many times and put a lot of money into it. So you don't need to tell me about your own opinion anymore.

Hey, sorry to hear it hasn't worked out for you. The site-wide average is 30% but of course not everyone gets the same results. You can preview each curator's average approval rate prior to sending them any songs - that way you can avoid those who are too picky for your standard.

Helpful platform for independent artists

SubmitHub has been useful for testing my music with real curators and getting feedback on where my songs fit. I like that I can see who listened, how long they listened, and whether the song was shared. The Meta Ads package has also helped bring more people to my Spotify, and the campaign data is easy to follow. Overall, it has been a helpful tool for an independent artist trying to grow step by step.

I’ve used SubmitHub twice

I’ve used SubmitHub twice, once at the cheapest level, then again at the most expensive level. They are a great company. You get almost daily reports and excellent feedback from playlists. Why only four stars? They automatically recharge you after a campaign ends. So if you ran a two week campaign you’ll get charged for another two week campaign. You do get a reminder email, but often my email doesn’t get read. Also the cost per conversion (an actual stream) was quite high. I ended up paying over $4 per stream. For comparison, when I do my own Facebook ads the cost is under .10 cents. SubmitHub Facebook ads were kind of generic. I will continue to use SubmitHub but I will use their more affordable options. The money saved I will put towards running my own Facebook ads. If you have no clue or interest learning how to run Facebook ads, SubmitHub is probably the best company you’ll find.

Hi Rene, thanks for the review. We've taken steps to make the renewal more transparent so that future users don't get thrown off by it. Also... $4/stream?! Wow! We're typically averaging $0.25 - $0.60 per stream for the tracks we run. Obviously this can go down a lit depending on the regions you're targeting, but we prefer to focus on Tier 1 / Tier 2. I'd be happy to take a closer look at your ad if you want to reach out - feel free to contact [email protected] :)

This is honestly the only place I have…

This is honestly the only place I have found real people promoting real music. I had 1 issue and customer service helped the same day. All curators have provided great reviews or feedback I have submitted with. Make sure your genre and mood match were u send your music.

Grateful

SubmitHub is a great way to keep plugging away at trying to get heard in today's maze. It's not perfect, and I'm always surprised that I hardly ever get added to any playlists despite having decent material, but I'm grateful to have this outlet and every time someone adds my song, or gifts me credits, it feels like a cool breeze on a hot day and helps me keep living my dream.

There are better, more cost effective options to get your music playlisted

Submithub has a good user interface. I find curators are way more responsive on Musosoup - I get way more playlist adds. Overall Musosoup is also better value for money. The ROI for Submithub is not worth the effort, once my current credits have ran out, I doubt I'll be renewing.

I’ve had a really positive experience…

I’ve had a really positive experience using SubmitHub. It’s one of the few platforms that actually makes music promotion feel transparent and efficient. The credit system is straightforward, response times are fast, and I appreciate that curators are required to give feedback when you use premium credits. Even short responses help me understand how my tracks are being received and what I can improve. Overall, SubmitHub feels fair, well-organized, and worth the investment if you’re serious about pitching your music. It’s become a regular part of my release strategy.
