What people say

I have been using Sync.com since maybe…

I have been using Sync.com since maybe its inception. It's worked flawlessly for that entire time. I switched to Sync.com when a competitor made my Macbook bloated with junk files. Sync.com works better, doesn't bloat my computer with junk, and is super easy to use and share folders too.

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with Sync.com. The platform was consistently unreliable. It would frequently just sit there spinning, and simple tasks like creating a folder often wouldn't work. I could usually accomplish those same tasks on my desktop, but that defeats the purpose. I was paying for a cloud service because I needed it to work across my devices without constant issues. To make matters worse, once I notified Sync.com about these issues, it took months before they even attempted to investigate them. Throughout that time, they were never able to give me a clear explanation for why the platform was performing so poorly or what was causing the problems. I spent months dealing with an unreliable service while waiting for answers that never came. What really frustrated me was when I needed help recovering documents. One of the reasons I chose a paid service was because I expected reliable support if something went wrong. Instead of actually helping, support simply emailed me instructions and expected me to do the recovery myself. Could I eventually figure it out? Yes. But that's exactly why I was paying for the service—to save time and have knowledgeable support when I needed it. I'm busy, and I expected a premium service to provide premium support, not links to documentation and instructions to do it all myself. Between the unreliable platform, the months-long delay in addressing reported issues, the inability to explain or resolve the problems, and the lack of meaningful customer support, I can't recommend Sync.com. I eventually moved my files elsewhere and wish I had done it much sooner. If you're paying for a premium cloud storage service, you should expect it to work reliably and receive timely, effective support when it doesn't. Unfortunately, that wasn't my experience.

endless problems with the software not syncing correctly, randomly duplicating files and then randomly deleting files

This past year, 2026, I have had nothing but problems with this software and cloud host. After using them for many years without issue, this year we have had endless problems with the software not syncing correctly, randomly duplicating files and then one of our users connections started randomly deleting files from an area they did not have access to. When we contacted support, we got the standard form email telling us to update, uninstall, or reinstall a different version, multiple times. Only once did they finally admit that there was a problem with their software. After that, when the issues kept appearing, they made it our problem and continued the cycle of telling us to reinstall the software. Their support line is very slow to respond, usually well over 24 hours to get a form letter. Often I am sure it is only a bot. As a legal firm, we cannot allow issues with our file retention and had no choice but to close our account with them. Until they get their act together I highly recommend you stay away from them!

A Reliable and Trusted Tool

I’ve been using Sync for years and continue to appreciate how easy it is to navigate. The features I love make it simple to send large files to my clients without hassle. Additionally, I use the vault feature to securely store important files that I don’t need to access daily, which gives me peace of mind. Overall, Sync is a dependable app that I plan to keep using for many years.

My Life With SYNC

Secure, Windows 11 and iOS app integration. I'm finding Vault to be a bit "clunky" in its ease of use using the Google Chrome browser. I am expecting Windows-like behavior here. 1. Navigating folders, going from a subfolder to a previous folder with many items is tedious, takes you back to the top, and you have to wait for the window to re-render. 2. Moving files is not drag and drop. You must select the files to move, then select the destination from the interface, the move. 3. I also have an issue trying to scroll to the bottom of a window/folder to see the last item. The window view snaps back to the top making it difficult to access items at the bottom of the list. 4. I have not yet tried to downloading a large set of files from Vault for archiving to an external drive. This requires creating a link, going to the link, then you download a compressed archive. All-in-all, it is a more than adequate service amongst the three that I have access to (Windows OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive.)

Good backup service at a very competitive price

We are a small team of creative content creators. We've been using Sync for the past two years or so, and must say that for us it's a valuable tool. We backup all our projects on sync.com and that gives us great peace of mind. Nothing to complain about. We believe it's good backup service at a very competitive price for what it offers.

Absolutely zero product support

Absolutely zero product support. If you submit a ticket, you'll wait a few days for a response, and it will a one sentence reply from a script. Service is constantly plagued with issues. They push multiple updates trying to fix it, but they always miss the mark. Had Sync for over 5 years. It used to work, but the platform is batrely useable for business work. We switched to Tresorit, and we're very pleased. Night and day.
