Veryify the address before checkint out! It changes it using "AI"

When I filled out the address on line, after I closed out of the Checkout, for some reason it changed the address from E 80th to W 80th. I had issues with UPS but I was eventually able to fix it. Outside of that, everything else went smoothly

Hello! Sorry to hear you had issues with UPS! We don't use AI on the site, but we will look into any potential autocorrect or address validation options. We hope you enjoy your purchase!

Extraordinary engineering firm delivering top Linux computers

Extraordinary engineering firm that fully understands their mission and does it very well. Their product offerings are quite broad and meet the needs of just about any use case. Their technical support staff and document repository are both excellent.

Excellent experience as always

Excellent experience as always. I wish my darp5 could have hung on forever, but delighted to have my new Pangolin Pro in record time! Special thanks to Stetson and the sales team for their courtesy in matching the sales price!

Pleased with my purchase

As a long time Pop_OS user I have wanted to give their hardware a try as well. When it was time to get a new laptop I was pleased to find that they had a model that suited my needs, so I placed the order. Despite shipping to Canada it arrived in a week. Build quality of the laptop is excellent and so far it meets or exceeds expectations. If you're looking for a premium machine and are willing to pay for it then you should consider System76.

This System 76 Thelio Mira Elite was…

This System 76 Thelio Mira Elite was the second System 76 machine I've purchased direct from this company. Both times were seamless experiences. Let me talk about quality and longevity. The first one I bought in 2013, and it's still going strong--a laptop. This time, because I am now completely moved to Linux, I purchased my desktop, and both are quality builds with absolutely no glitches, and when a 2013 System 76 laptop winds up having to run a lot of peripherals and heavy software because it winds up being the _only_ machine running and not only upgrades to the latest Pop!_OS without a hitch, but does the whole job set and work flow, that tells you what kind of machines System 76 builds--flawless, long-lasting, and solid. This new desktop, the Thelio Mira Elite? Absolutely quiet and doesn't even blink at running DaVinci Resolve Studio. Multitasking poweruser here who is super-impressed with System 76 builds and with Pop!_OS. Cosmic Desktop has a few issues because it's still in beta, but a couple of quick commands in the Terminal fixes the problems in seconds. Enjoy. These machines are, IMO, the very best made.

I've bought an Oryx Pro in 2021

I've bought an Oryx Pro in 2021. I mainly did so because I wanted a repairable system that would last long. When it arrived the top of the screen was already loose. Clearly the laptop was simply rebranded since there was still some glue residue of the old logo. But whatever - it was repairable, so I could live with that. Now, five years later, one of the fans was starting to rattle. I looked into the repair PDF I had stored and it described how to replace the fans, and that I could order them directly from support. That just felt good. However after contacting support I realized I had made a mistake in doing business with System76, because they said that this part is not available any longer, and since they wouldn't give me any part specs or model number they implied that there would be no aftermarket for it either. I asked. That means that any device you buy from System76 won't be repairable any longer after just 5 years. It's just a scam if you ask me and there's better products on the market if you don't mind the planned obsolescence. Edit: Added two points for giving me a proper part number for aftermarket.

Hello! Your case has been reviewed and it looks like an error was made with not providing the part number. Your ticket should be updated with a part number now. We apologize for the inconvenience. We hope having the part number helps make your experience better.

Its okay, not sure what all the hype is about

The unpacking experience was alright. I expected a little more from it. There aren't enough key caps either. The lighting doesn't really illuminate the keys well. The keyboard itself is very expensive. I got lucky and saved a couple of dollars off the price. I do love the sound the keys make when they bottom out. I submitted a review here shorts/FydlX82USwI. I did eventually set it to white, but it's unclear. Whether it gets any brighter, even with the saturation and brightness up.

Hello! Thank you for providing feedback about the Launch Keyboard! The link provided with the review was not complete so we are unable to view it. We appreciate you sharing your preferences about the illumination and the sound of the keys/switches. We hope you enjoy your Launch for many years!

Hmmmm,.. Charger died,.. no support, I do understand that you cannot recommend "every" 3rd party battery or charger vendor, that is reasonable, but couldn't you review and recommend one or two..??

I have 2 system 76 laptops. One of the chargers died and I contacted them for a replacement.. They told me to find one myself, they did not send a link to an aftermarket charger or anything,.. just said "here are the specs, good luck" ! After spending nearly $3k on their hardware, I expected more from a reportedly high end computer provider.

Reply from System762026-07-22

Hello! Thank you for the feedback! When a component is discontinued, we do our best to provide the part number but we can't vet every 3rd party supplier of chargers and batteries so we do not actively send links to unknown 3rd party sources. We will keep this in mind and see if there is a better process we can implement. Thank you for your support.

System76 customer support experience

I recently had to send my laptop back in for repair, and Thomas was extremely helpful to assist me with my issue all the way through, they received my LemurPro on Monday and managed to get my laptop back up and running by performing a fresh install of FedoraWorkStation44 he preceded to tell me that the primary issue was my LemurPro’s USBC charger which originally came with my laptop only charged my laptop up to 10% support tested it on their end, and told me that my LemurPro’s charger had died and they sent me a link to amazon, for which I could purchase the same exact charger for less than what System76 was celling it for. I ultimately ended up buying the charger from System76 directly since my hands are so used to and accustomed to the feel and texture of the charger overall though, i really appreciate there rapid turnaround times

My new desktop with Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS…

My new desktop with Pop!_OS 24.04 LTS initial setup was not a problem. But within the first 2 weeks I ran into multiple issues with the Cosmic desktop. Once the fan revved up and stayed revved upon login. I power-cycled the desktop and it would not reboot fully; it hung on (initramfs). I had to run fsck to reboot it. Another time PyCharm hung while navigating settings menu and I could not kill it via the System Monitor. I closed all other apps and tried to restart via the start/restart dialog box. Again, the system failed to boot completely and hung on (initramfs). I like the appearance and normal responsiveness of the Cosmic desktop. But I'm now wondering if it should have stayed in Beta a while longer. I'm considering switching to a new desktop environment. Customer service did not get me up and running when I was stuck on the first problem, though they responded fairly promptly to my ticket and my results from applying their suggestions.
