The video instruction is very clear and is helping me to stratigize. I have seen improvement in my skills. The only issue I have had is that the Intro to Reading Comprehension confused me a bit, and I think my performance on that may have declined.
App does not work often. Lectures do not load and have to log in using laptop.
The lectures cover focused areas instead of just a Matrix download of all topics. I failed the CA Bar before because I was overwhelmed with another bar prep service. I feel much more confident this time around.

I like the audio lectures, and the live office hours. Sometimes I feel like the MBE answer explanations leave something to be desired. That could also simply be because the test writers seem to apply somewhat arbitrary logic at times.
The price of tutoring and self-study materials is relatively affordable compared to other LSAT prep materials out there. I highly recommend their tutoring as it has helped me personalize my study and focus on areas that I have most difficulty and begin to improve in those areas specifically. Overall my experience has been great!

I liked how all the information I needed for the bar exam was pretty much included in the outlines. I also loved the essay grading service and the chat function. The pricing is very affordable compared to others!

I passed the bar exam with 20 points to spare. I scored a 286, when passing is a 266. As a full-time lawyer practising in India, I had serious doubts whether I would be able to pass the bar exam. I was looking for a bar prep course that attacked the exam as opposed to a course that exhaustively covered the subjects tested on the exam. With a young family and a full-time practice, time was a scarce commodity. BarMax perfectly fit the bill. Its outlines focused on most heavily tested areas of the exam. I was thrilled that Mehran, the owner of BarMax got on a call with me to answer all my questions. I wasn't pushed off to a sales/business executive. He was available at all times and shared his personal cell phone number. In terms of cost, I paid a third of what others paid for their programs and the course offered some serious value-for-money. One of the best decisions I took was working with Jennifer Carr as a tutor in the BarMax program. I wanted help with the writing portion of the exam. I told her that the multiple choice portion of the exam was my strength but that I was struggling to write in a way that the bar examiners wanted me to. She really turned things around for me. On the actual exam, my writing score was higher than my score on the multiple choice questions! She was able to turn my weakness into my strength! I highly recommend the BarMax course and Jennifer Carr's tutoring to anybody who is looking to pass the bar exam. It's a wonderful program for anyone looking to pass the bar exam!

Took me quite a few tries but I finally passed my UBE with a score high enough to transfer into any state. Being a working single mom, quite a few years out of law school, I had many changes that needed to be made in my life before I was fully able to be prepared. Having a Bar Prep program, for life, that I never had to worry about losing access to and that was flexible enough to change in accordance with my needs through the process. . . was EVERYTHING! I am a foreign trained lawyer, and was able to use TestMaxPrep to train for the New York Bar Exam. I got COVID my first time writing the exam so I had to delay my writing. TestMaxPrep allows you lifetime access, which means I did not have to re-pay for access to their training modules when I rescheduled. After wasting my money and time on “Themis” twice, a friend introduced me to barmax, and that was the best decision ever. I would advise everyone to read their outlines very well if you want to pass. The good news is that the outlines are straight to the point and very easy to comprehend. Barmax cares for their students. They won’t just allow you listen to endless boring pre recorded lectures, they have live hours with real smart humans that break down the knowledge of the law for you. Their tutors are perfect too. As a foreign-educated applicant who had never studied at a US law school, I knew the odds were stacked against me, but I scored a 300 on my first attempt in New York. I exclusively followed the BarMax study plan leading up to the February 2024 exam and found that BarMax provided highly accessible resources and tools, with prompt and practical essay feedback, without which I would not have passed. I unequivocally recommend the BarMax program and their staff.

I was struggling with the MPT portion of the UBE. I had one session with Jennifer Carr a little less than 2 weeks before the February 2024 bar exam and it was a game changer. She provided templates for the most common MPTs that could be seen on the bar, and she gave helpful tips on how to maximize the little time I had left before the test. The day before the first session of the exam I reviewed my notes from that tutoring session. I went into the bar exam with a game plan. When the first MPT was memo style I was confident. I typed out my Jennifer Carr template like I practiced and filled the rest of MPT with the facts and law provided. I passed with a great score! I feel my score probably would have been even higher if I also worked with Jennifer or the essay portion of the UBE. 10 out of 10 would recommend Jennifer as a tutor!
