I am a European Lawyer, with a legal education based on entirely different legal traditions and standards than the US system. English, while almost bilingual, is not my first language, which adds an extra layer of difficulty to an already brutal exam. After failing on my first attempt using Barbri (expensive, confusing materials, and frankly criminal that they charge X times the price without even using real exam questions), I found BarMax and Jennifer.
I was specifically struggling with the California Performance Test, one of the most challenging components for foreign-educated lawyers. This was the first course that in my opinion will give me the skills necessary to do well on the LSAT. Also, I don't feel like I am on my own. In the past, the courses I took only offered office time to get an answer only once a week. I couldn't get a hold of anyone when I needed to.
Passed the CA bar exam (Feb 2026) with BarMax’s assistance!
I passed the CA bar exam (February 2026) after failing the July 2025 exam. I am a licensed attorney barred in Minnesota. Prior to the 2025 test, I had signed up for BarMax bar exam test prep course, and it prepared me well for the MBE (I achieved a passing score) but I didn’t adequately prepare for the essays. When I decided to retake the exam, I signed up for a tutor who provided invaluable guidance on essay structure and advice on the subject matter areas to study (shout out to Melissa!). Having a tutor kept me accountable to do practice essays, and helped me to study in the most efficient and effective way. Celeste and Melissa provided great guidance that helped make the difference. LSAT Max provides all we need for the LSAT test. Their casts and instructions, trainers are professional with a high GPA background. The sources and materials they provide are useful. The app is amazing, highly recommended.

From 150's to 170's, hands down the best LSAT prep I've used
This is the best LSAT prep I've used by far - and I've tried a few. I brought my score up from the 150's to the 170's using TestMax. The in-depth learning with the modules really helped me to understand the test architecture inside and out, pushing past some walls I hit in my previous prep. The huge library of practice tests, with opportunities for different types of review, plus the detailed answer explanations, filled in the gaps where I had previously been left wondering why certain answer choices were correct or incorrect. I would highly recommend this program to anyone who is willing to invest the time to excel on the LSAT.

BarMax provides concise, easy to use materials for a very reasonable price. There are literally decades of past MEEs and MPTs with both NCBE answers and test taker sample answers all in one place. Additionally, they had over 1300 actual MBE questions including the illusive CivPro MBE questions that has only recently been added. If I found a subject area I needed to focus on more, it was simple to do so. Tutoring was the icing on the cake with this prep course. My tutor was skilled at keeping me on task and guiding me through any challenges I was having with topics and my writing.
My experience with BarMax has been truly amazing. First, the staff are extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help. I feel very supported in my journey because of the terrific staff. I would especially like to thank Celeste for her excellent guidance and very effective advice in navigating through the challenges of studying for the bar.
