The information regarding when to arrive was changed numerous times. The guide was knowledgeable but not really interested in taking the group around because it was hot. The trip was still worth it because of where you were and what you were seeing.

I booked a tour in early May for the Colosseum arena floor access, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. I picked the time a lot of 9:30 since we also have a Vatican Tour at 2:30. I was excited as I had read great reviews. Unfortunately, as I was already in Europe, the tour guy emailed me changing my tour and time. They took away arena access and changed the time to 1:30. Obviously this wouldn’t work, so I emailed back and got no response. I then called the next day and was told my the lady on the phone, she will call me back the same day to confirm. She never did. I then called again the following day only to be told there is nothing they can do with this amount of short notice- even though I booked months on advance. They left me scrambling to try to get another tour else where. I personally would never recommend or ever book from this company again.

Your reservation was scheduled for July 6th, and we contacted you on June 24th—nearly two weeks in advance—to notify you of the shift. At the Colosseum, ticket allocations and entry times are strictly controlled by the monument's administration, which frequently forces changes to guaranteed entry slots. We disclose clearly at checkout and on our vouchers that start times are provisional and subject to change, and we advise keeping your day's schedule flexible to accommodate these shifts. However, we completely understand that this particular change created a direct conflict with your pre-booked afternoon Vatican tour. The shift in format and time was due to ticket-acquisition failures on the part of our former local partner, Rome with Silvia. Because of these persistent service issues and the unacceptable stress they have caused our travelers, we have officially severed ties and are no longer working with this operator. We also sincerely apologize that our support team failed to deliver on their promise to call you back promptly while you were waiting. We have addressed this internally to ensure our follow-ups remain reliable. To ensure you were not out of pocket, a full refund was processed and returned to your account as soon as the cancellation was finalized. We are truly sorry that we could not make this work for your itinerary, and we wish you the best on your future travels.

Booked a tour to see the Coliseum in Rome months in advance of our trip - promised the Gladiator experience, great reviews online and seemed like a reputable company. Get to the tour, get told at the gate that our tour is being cancelled as the company has been blacklisted (they obviously sub-contract to other companies). Can't rebook as everything is sold out. Guide tells us we should get a full refund (I'm skeptical) and he takes off. Thanks for ruining our families chances of seeing the Coliseum!

This breakdown in service is entirely unacceptable to us, which is why our Operations Manager has immediately investigated this and we have officially cut ties with this operator. Our customer care team has already reached out to your email directly to get this resolved with a refund. If you are still in Rome, we do have availability this coming Sunday for another Colosseum Tour and would love the chance to welcome your family. Complete Skip-the-Line Acropolis & Parthenon Tour with Guided Museum Visit: Tour date 22 June 2026, Tour Guide: Elizabeth The tour was great and well worth the money. Elizabeth took us around both the Acropolis and museum, she was very informative and engaging. The group was small which was beneficial. Cannot fault the tour at all and is highly recommended. The bad: Meeting point was at the tour office at 07:45, the office was open with signs on the door to book in from 07:30. The staff within the office were both rude and condescending to everyone waiting to book in. Despite the sign stating book in from 07:30 the staff shouted at people to get out and terms like “I’ve told you all to wait”, “get in line”, “Don’t interrupt me”. I have used the Tour Guy on many occasions and they have always been great; they need to have a serious look at customer service skills by the office staff in Athens, for the amount paid for this tour I would expect a lot better.
