Corrupt Link - lucky I had TotalAV
I was careless and didn't pay attention to the sender and clicked a link in the email, lucky for TotalAV as it stopped me opening the bad link.

Danger on the internet
TotalAV caught a number of emails that could have caused significant problems for me. The internet can be a very dangerous place.
Avoid the auto renewal to stop them stealing from you.
I purchased their product in 2024 for what I believed was a trial period. After a week I removed it from my computer as I found it slowed everything down and I carried on using Windows defender, Last year I missed they auto renewed and took 10x the original cost from my account. I only just picked this up when they did this again today. They have refunded this payment but have refused the first as over a year ago. Watch out for this company. They will offer you a trial period at a heavily discounted rate but will auto renew it (even if you delete it from your computer and are not using it). I found it slowed my computer down alot and Windows Defender much better. Avoid. TotalAV have replied below but they have only refunded one of the £249 payments they took from my account. Do not give them your card details, PayPal or bank details. They will take money without your knowledge. Avoid.

I have 4 degrees in computer science. It is so easy to get hacked these days. Computers are so easy to use now that anyone can hack with a little know how. I f it is hard for me to defend myself on line you can only imagine how easy for the novice to be behind the 8 ball. had my new setup 4 months and had almost 500 threats. AV did a deep clean and did it well. Let it do its job, you will not be sorry. MDS

TotalAV. I took the £29 Offer. But they took £129!!! And annoyingly you can't turn off Auto-Renew
I have used TotalAV for a while, but I HATE having them force an auto-renewal on me. I want to be the one who decides whether I auto-renew or not. So I turned it off. This was NOT easy. They want you to auto-renew. But I don't want to. After all, it is MY money. But if they made the decision to Auto-Renew up to me (and not FORCE me to auto-renew), I would have been happy to stay with them. But I HATE being bullied. I let me annual subscription run out. Then I got a message saying I can renew for £29. I thought about it for a bit and decided to accept it. WRONG DECISION. I installed TotalAV again... and then get an email today saying that £129 has been taken from my card. That is £100 MORE than what the offer was. So I have to now turn off AUTO-RENEWAL again. I won't be buying it again. I'll go back to BitDefender. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
