Talking with Paula Chapman encouraged me so much! Our rescue is a quick learner, but she is also very willfull! Crossing arms and turning away from jumping finally is helping! I believe she is adjusted to her new home and secure with us. Sadie is very loving and we love her! The printed manual is a great resource! I refer to it frequently! So glad I signed up!

The phone call with the trainer was not helpful. I was already doing all of the things he suggested and they were not working. I decided to go another route with training.

Most everything the trainer said I was already doing and the advice he did tell me was not practical. Example, trainer said that when my dog jumps on someone we should leave the yard. The problem with that is now we can't go outside, so now my dog has control of yard. No one feels safe outside.

I'm a dog trainer and most of the methods here are worth a try, though some of them are too gentle/bribe-like to get reliable results. Site has protected my privacy well. I unsubscribed ultimately, and their emails stopped.

They really care about our pet!

They gave good advice and followed up to see what problems we were having. And having a phone conversation with an expert trainer gave me the opportunity to address my pet’s specific issues. And, they continue to see if we need additional advice.

TrainPetDog is an easy to use pet training site. It is common sense and works for my dog. It has online, video, and printed material. Also, there are sessions available to schedule with a trainer to discuss problems. I have tried other sites and other live trainers and this has been the most helpful. Starting anew with puppy.

Growing up with larger dogs, I now have a new puppy of a calming nature, which is what I need. Yet being a mixed Teddy Bear (Shih zhu/Bischon) she was overwhelming. TrainPet is a Godsend to me.

Helpful info/plan for a pup that plays too rough

The advice and and plan I received from Thomas at TrainPetDog has been very helpful. My most recent call was about a pup that plays too rough with our other dogs. We're still working on it with our dog, but there is definitely improvement!! I've scheduled many other times for help, and they are always super helpful.

Disappointed …

After trying the suggested training exercises over and over I’ve had little to no success with training my German Shepherd. We went to three of the five dog training schools in our area and each one told us they don’t accept any dog in their program until the dog is six months old. Each one said it is at that time the dog has most of its puppy attitude out of its system. I haven’t found your method successful and wish I had never purchased it. It was a waste of money. We now have a reservation made at a local training center for Maxine when she becomes 6 months old. David Schronce
