UMIDIGI G5A Mobile Phones(2024), Warrantee Worthless

UMIDIGI G5A Mobile Phones(2024),Android 13 Smartphone SIM Free. Excellent specs and worked well for over a year but then started doing weird things like randomly opening apps, or websites continuing scrolling through. The only way to stop it was to switch it off. Then it would be fine for a few days. I contacted Umidigi and over several weeks went through numerous settings, finally I did a factory reset and reloaded apps from another device (working perfectly). The problems however continued so it was clearly the phones systems not any apps etc. The phone was still in warrantee Umidigi said I should contact Amazon who didn't respond and the next I knew Amazon had closed the support. This is the latest from Umidigi: Dear Customer, We understand your frustration and apologize for the difficulty you have experienced. Please note that our support team provides online technical assistance only. We are unable to process refunds or replacements directly, as these are handled by the platform or store where you purchased the device. Since you purchased from Amazon, please contact the Amazon seller or store from whom you bought the phone. If the seller is no longer available, you may file an "A-to-Z Guarantee" claim through Amazon customer service. We apologize that we are unable to assist further in this matter.

Not good for heavy phone users.

I bought the UMIDIGI F3S in December of 2022 and within a year, I started having really silly issues that seems to not be fixable: - I have to use a Bluetooth headset to talk on the phone because the phone will randomly vibrate and cut off my on my end preventing the person I'm talking to from hearing me. I can hear them, but they can't hear me. - My camera randomly duplicates photos instead of letting me take new photos. - Sometimes when I record videos (say a 1 minute video) it'll glitch and show that it's 10 minutes and will won't show anything that was recorded (but you can hear the video). - When I get text messages, it disconnects my Bluetooth from my car or my headset forcing me to have to reconnect every minute. - My data doesn't stay connected (but it'll show that there are 4 bars) and I typically won't notice unless I try to text someone. - I can't take photos directly through the texting app. I have to upload them instead (when it was new, I did not have this issue). - Even though I have my phone is on vibrate, text messages still make a loud notification noise (the same one you get when you receive a calendar notifications. This also, just started happening and there seems to be no way to fix it. So I have to turn off my phone when I'm in meetings. -Out of nowhere, you have to switch to "SMS" to text someone.....even when you have been texting all day. It happens at random and seems to also not be fixable. -The phone overheats VERY fast when using rideshare and delivery apps. If you are a gig worker, don't get this phone unless you want to have your car AC on at full blast in the middle of winter. The only redeeming quality is that it's an affordable phone with a lot of gigs. It's decent for minimal and basic use. But if your life requires heavy phone usage, get something else.

ordered three of these UMIDIGI phones…

ordered three of these UMIDIGI phones for Christmas one of them the port is gone. The other one is fully charged up to 100% it just doesn’t wanna open so ordered another one and January sometime and also the port went on it. What can I do about these phones? can I send them back so you can refund me or get different ones???

My last purchase from Umidigi

I have purchased numerous Umidigi mobiles over the years and they have been alright. In April is purchased the Umidigi Note 100 5G from the start it was a problem and after 4 months I have still not resolved the problem. The mobile is not fit for purpose. I will be looking to use this mobile as a paper weight and be purchasing a new mobile from a different manufacturer.

I bought this phone 📱

I bought this phone, few days ago. At first it looks perfect. But after a few days usage, I noticed there is a few features are missing out and there is a problem with the alarm and clock. Also it has no note book features 😔📖 so all the detailed notes and passwords now I can not transfer to the new phone and have to rewrite all my past passwords, on a physical book again. It has no photo gallery. So I have to upload them to Google. The company, I was told has no plans to do software updates.

Deceived by UMIDIGI

I bought my umidigi byson pro february 2023. The thing that did not work from the word go was the NFC app. Otherwise it worked fine untill october 2024, when it started switching itself off randomilly and then rebooting all by itself. Eventually it got worse untill just before christmas when it died. I contacted umidigi but after repeated e-mails absolutely no replys. That was surprising because I thought they were a professional firm. On e-bay they appear to be very competent but is only a smoke screen. The only thing they are interested in is your money. Once they have got it, they do not want to know you. MY ADVISE STAY AWAY FROM UMIDIGI

I have owned 5 Umidigi phones

I have owned 5 Umidigi phones now. My first was the Power 5, then a Bison, then an A10, Then a Bison GT2 pro, and now a G6 5G. I have loved every one of them, and the only problem I had was the 64 mp camera on the GT2 Pro failed to focus properly,so I replaced the camera. It works flawlessly now and has for the last 2 years. The G6 isn't as fast and the battery is not as good as the GT2 Pro, but it will stream to my hearing aids. I have never had an issue running any app I want to. I love it too. I have no complaints with Umidigi phones, and will likely buy another. The price/quality ratio is well worth it.

DON'T buy a UMIDIGI phone

DON'T. I bought a UMIDIGI Bison Pro 4 months ago. It stopped working 1 month ago - wouldn't hold its charge, kept looping without booting up. Contacted Umidigi - support absolutely awful - slow and useless. No way of getting either a functioning phone or my money back. If I could give NO stars I would.

Angry with umidigi in regards to a…

Angry with umidigi in regards to a phone I purchased from Amazon essentially not even lasting 2 months and the charging port randomly broke in the phone and it was just a $200 brick. I posted a bad review on the Amazon ad and umidigi replied offering to make it right all I had to do was send the phone back to them and they would refund me. I missed the part where they wanted the Canada Post tracking number and I lost the receipt but that shouldn't matter I sent it by xpress post to the exact address and to the exact person they told me to and I paid $29 to do it. They then tell me that they can't refund me because no tracking and so now I paid $189 for a bad phone and $29 for shipping. They have the phone and my money and I'm left with nothing. Scammers

Just 2.5 years lifespan

I have had this phone, Umidigi Bison (2021), for 2 and a half years now, and it recently died out of nowhere. At first, I thought it was an Android issue, so I took it apart to reconnect the battery and remove the residual power, but without being able to get it to work. Tests here and there, in short, it has a problem on the main board, in just 2 and a half years, compared to having a Huawei running non-stop for almost 6 years and counting.

Good company - beware of support loops and no-fixes - alarm function faulty

So the phone is good (in principle) and inexpensive... BUT The system doesnt come up 5 mins before an alarm is due to go off (standard RTC/Android function) meaning that you either leave the phone on over night (drains battery, overnight notification pings, etc...) or you use another manufacturer's phone as an alarm clock... Tech support started on this 2 months ago, disappeared into a support loop (including the trouble ticket being closed down and a loss of the history... 23 e-mails exchanged at this point (fortunately I have the history)). It looks to me like there has been a deliberate coding "patched out" thing here... Hope they fix it... otherwise this one goes into the round storage box. Expensive exercise (in time).
