Auto-generated from all reviews of this business. For reference only.I ordered a tea set for my step mother for her birthday. After placing the order I reached out to the team via their chat and asked if I could get a gift receipt. Not only did they make a gift receipt but they also insisted on writing a card to be included in the box. It was an example of how this company will go above and beyond for you. My step mother tells me the tea is flavorful and earthy. She loves it.
I bought a tea warmer and glass kettle from them. The pieces are very well made! Beautiful pieces! They have phenomenal customer service also. I reached out to them a couple of times, as I was having a hard time finding the correct plug adapter for in the U.S.. They were patient and wonderful to work with. I will 💯 recommend them to anyone and will purchase from them again. I have 2 iron kettles on my wishlist right now!
I made an order and the product was great, and they were really quick to answer and helpful when i needed a replacement.
I received a beautiful Yixing Da Hong Pao Clay Pine Teapot for free when I ordered the box of 5 Wabi-sabi Kung Fu Tea Cups. The cups are a lovely size and weight and very pretty. Exactly what I was wanting to gift my friend. To receive free gift is so lovely (I had just been sent some tea samples for free!) but I was overwhelmed with emotion when I opened the box to this teapot. It is so beautiful. The craftsmanship is top notch. Even the sound of taking the lid on and off speaks quality! I was obsessed with tea pots when I was little and receiving this made me feel like a child full of wonder again! Thank you Umi Tea sets so very much. Best wishes to you all from London.
Purchased a Japanese Glass Fair Cup With Golden Rim from Umi months ago and waited to post a review so I had time with the cup and could give my feedback. First off the cup is very beautiful. It's perfect for pouring my Gaiwan brews into so I can split between two cups as I sometimes share tea with my wife or a guest. I really enjoy the texture of the glass and the gold rim really brings additional flair to its presence. I would recommend buying from Umi as they offer gorgeous pieces.
I accidentally dropped my brand-new teapot, Umi Tea agreed to send me another one free of charge. Amazing customer service!
Tea ware I received in a very good quality and the procedure of my order went really fast. All the emails are answered fast and it feels like Ive been approached with personal matter. The team is willing to help to and find solution for the problem, if there is one. Highly recommend the service. Thanks, Umi!

Good customer service when I broke the lid, replacement with free shipping in exchange for a good review.
Looking around for containers to hold my loose leaf tea,but I did not just want any simple containers. I searched around and saw Umi Tea Brand and they had great designs, and quality than any other companies for a great price. I ordered a good amount since I had a lot of different loose leaf tea and it shipped out fast. It was also delivered at a reasonable time frame and was very well packaged that all my containers came in safe. All have been filled with my loose leaf tea and are properly stored, they mentioned that the Purple Clay pot must be well taken care of than the others. The only issue I would have with this company or order is sadly they gave me the wrong fish design container. It was supposed to be a design of a Fancy Goldfish, but received only what looks like the same design, but the fish was different, it is a small looking Koi fish. That's the only reason I give it four out of five stars, and is my only complaint. Other than that everything else is fine with the order. Again shipping, delivery, and product are really great and I wouldn't say anything bad otherwise. Just a small hiccup in a fish design. I will highly recommend Umi Tea Company to others who love loose leaf tea as much as I do and get great containers for them. I will also be ordering more containers in the future when I do get more different loose leaf tea, and maybe more of their different merchandise that they also promote. I am a very happy customer!
Don’t let them fool you this place is a total scam I spent over 500 dollars on a set and it was a painted wall tile. Everything is so cheaply made it looks horrible. I am from Ohio. Half of my order was broken. A year later they still have yet to send me a refund or a replacement part. RUN!
It is a beautiful tea set , fast delivery. As expected from the picture. Made out of cast iron it has a dragon beautifully carved in between in gold. Would shop here again.
Nixing Clay Dezhong Teapot This is the prefect size teapot for my morning tea and I love the way it pours. Personally, I enjoy this intricate, beautiful teapot using all alone. But occasionally do share share my enthusiasm for this special teapot with my husband, it is a wonderful way to have a tea tasting session with just a small cup each and then a second or third infusion. The pot is also an elegant way to have tea, along with the matching cups with a friend. The craftsman, Xie Daoli is a true artist and I love that his work combines art with matching calligraphy. This teapot maintains the heat beautifully and the aroma combines to make a lovely tea tasting session. When I serve tea to guests, they are amazed by the way the teapot pours and we all feel as though we are sharing in the ancient Chinese tea culture. This is a very special teapot set and I will be looking for more teapots from this artist.
I got the Japanese Bamboo Handle Sea Wave Wabi-sabi Tea Set from Umi Tea Sets as a birthday gift for my boyfriend, and we both absolutely love it! The set looks gorgeous, especially with the bamboo handle, which adds such a nice, natural touch. It has this earthy, wabi-sabi vibe that makes our tea time feel a bit more special. Honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect quality-wise, but it ended up being even better than I’d hoped. The ceramic is solid and has a really nice glaze, and the teapot pours smoothly without any drips. The cups are the perfect size for a cozy tea break, and it’s a great fit for two people. The packaging was also really secure, so everything arrived in perfect condition. We’ve been using it every day since, and it’s turned our usual tea time into a little ritual. I’d definitely recommend this set if you’re looking for something that’s both beautiful and functional – it’s such a peaceful, elegant addition to our home.
I recently purchased the Umi Tea Set, and it has truly elevated my tea experience to a new level. The craftsmanship is impeccable, with each piece displaying a thoughtful and elegant design. The teapot pours smoothly without any drips, which is a detail I especially appreciate. The size is perfect for a few cups, making it ideal for a personal or small gathering tea ceremony. The cups are delicately crafted, comfortable to hold, and beautifully glazed, adding to the overall aesthetic. One of the standout features is the quality of the material. The porcelain feels durable yet light, and the glazing has a subtle shine that speaks to its high quality. Even with regular use, it maintains its elegance and shows no signs of wear. Cleaning is easy, as it doesn’t stain or retain the aroma of stronger teas like some other materials tend to do. The set’s packaging was also impressive—securely packed and lovely to present as a gift. Umi has managed to blend traditional tea-drinking elements with modern design, making it a pleasure to use daily or to bring out on special occasions. I wholeheartedly recommend this tea set to anyone seeking both functionality and beauty in their tea rituals!
The moment I opened the package, I could tell this Bi Luo Chun was something special. The leaves were fresh and fragrant, with a natural, vibrant green color that hinted at their quality. Upon steeping, the tea produced a pale, golden-green liquor with a gentle, complex aroma, balancing sweet floral notes with a touch of earthy undertones. Each sip revealed layers of flavor: mild and refreshing, with a smooth, slightly sweet finish. It's the kind of tea that feels elegant yet grounding, offering an experience that is both calming and revitalizing. The seller did an excellent job packaging the tea, ensuring it stayed fresh during transit. It was carefully sealed and arrived quickly, maintaining the tea’s integrity. Overall, I’m extremely impressed with both the quality of this Bi Luo Chun and the professionalism of the seller. This tea would be a beautiful addition for any green tea lover looking for something special and authentic. Highly recommended!
We ordered a Chinese Tea set to use for my daughter's Chinese wedding tea ceremony. I waited a little late but the tea set arrived quickly and in perfect condition so we were very happy with customer service. The set itself is just beautiful and really added to the event. It’s lovelier than how it appears on the website. I thought the cups were going to be too small for people to hold but both men and women were able to use them for the few sips required and more. Since then, we have brought the tea set out for other occasions everyone has remarked at how lovely it is. All the styling is very classic. I really like the case as the entire set fits into to prevent breakage and it is also fancy enough to put on the side table as display. The quality of all the components leads me to believe that we will keep this for a long time. So happy to find a lovely tea set of such exceptional quality at a price that wasn’t out of our range. I think these would make lovely presents for others in the future whether bride-groom couples or just people who enjoy a tea set. We are happy to have found a company who provides high quality items that are unavailable to purchase in our area. It definitely added a touch of magic to the wedding festivities.
Not only is the tea set well-made, I asked customer service for input on which set I should choose. They helped me narrow down my selection and answered all of my questions. The set shipped promptly and was just as described. It was packaged carefully and is very nice!
This was a lovely set. The quality was great, the finish was also great and it was really pretty. The packaging was also very secure. The pot hold enough for 4ish refills of the tea cups that cup with it. The set is also very easy to clean. We have started taking it to our picnics at the coast. Totally recommended if you enjoy teas made with loose tea leaves and would like to savor the flavors.
