Wheels For Wishes is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit car donation program established to benefit charities such as the local chapters of Make-A-Wish®. Since our founding in 2009, Wheels For Wishes has donated over 50 million dollars to the chapters of Make-A-Wish helping them grant thousands of wishes for children across the country who have been diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions.

instructions for car donation were exceedingly clear, customer service was very helpful, easy to reach somebody to talk to, and the pick up went very smoothly.

Straight forward entered vehicle info on the website, within a day or two was contacted by a representative to set up the pick up. Once the tow truck driver arrived, basically handed over the keys they took care of the rest. Only thing I had to do was go to the DMV and submit the transfer of ownership form, done.

The receipt process is confusing. I'm not sure if I have a final receipt or waiting for the car to be sold/disposed of before I get one.

Since your vehicle sold for $200, which is less than $500, the receipt you have received is indeed the final receipt. Per IRS guidelines, you are still eligible to deduct the full $500 on your 2024 taxes, even though the vehicle sold for less. I received a call from a 209 area code and someone asked me if I wanted to sell the car for cash before the towing company picked it up. Might want to get a new towing company to pick up your cars
