I've been getting their Salmon for the past couple of months because I can't find a reliable source of wild caught salmon locally. It always arrives on time and is delicious!
Our third delivery and…
We just received our third delivery and each one has been fantastic. The first two boxes were salmon. This third order was a mixed box. The communications and delivery about our orders has been great. It has also been very hot here and the contents have still been frozen when we’ve gotten home. Very happy.
Great fish
The fish is delicious. The website is easy to navigate. My only concern is when my box was delivered it was 110 degrees in AZ and the box was delivered at 7:00 PM by UPS (no A/C) so most of the product had thawed considerably. Reqested next delivery in the fall.

Did not realize fish was stored frozen…
Did not realize fish was stored frozen locally. Assumed it was shipped direct. Also reall dislike the absence of harvest date and frozen date, especially when the fish is 2x what it costs at Whole Foods.

You're right that we don't ship directly from Alaska or print harvest dates, and we'd like to quickly explain why: To maintain an unbroken cold chain, we ship our Alaskan catch in bulk to regional fulfillment centers. This is the best way to ensure your fish arrives perfectly frozen to your doorstep in a speedier manner. In regards to harvest dates, we flash-freeze our catch immediately after harvest. This locks in peak freshness almost indefinitely, per FDA guidance. Because of this process and our strict "first in, first out" inventory rotation, we don't print harvest dates on our packaging. All that said, we stand behind the quality of our wild-caught seafood and would love to chat more about our process to set your mind at ease. I absolutely love receiving my fish boxes from Wild Alaskan Company! I can say with assurance that this fish is as fresh as one can get from Alaska. They have top quality packing and clear and frequent communication about when your box will arrive to assure that it remains frozen. Every single type and package of fish that we have received and prepared has been excellent! We often travel to Alaska to fish and I still order boxes of Wild Alaskan fish to "fill in the gaps" of fish that we don't catch when we are there. A fish box may seem expensive, but if you consider the costs of your flight, the boat, boat gas, bait, poles, packaging and shipping, you are getting a bargain with Wild Alaskan Company!

When my first Wild Alaskan order was received and determined to be short one halibut serving, WA promptly corrected the error with no questions asked. Additionally, WA subsequent orders are always prompt, accurate and received in perfect condition. This is a very good company offering high quality excellent seafood.
