Second time ordering fruit trees from Willis Orchard. Both times I have ordered early spring for my area which is one state north of them and both times the trees have arrived in good condition. My only minor complaint is that tree specific instructions are lacking and are more broad to fruit trees and they don’t specify the root stock in the listing. That said I will continue to purchase from Willis Orchard if I am in the market for more fruit trees.

I ordered a 6ft persimmon for $150 that was sent showing absolutely no life. I planted and cared for the tree for over 3 months. Lots of local rain this spring. The tree shows no life. Scratch test is brown. Tree is dead. I have emailed them several times. They do not respond. This company is a fraud and sends dead plants.

Mr. deVarga has been replied to within 1-2 business days for each email he has sent to us. On top of that, we issued an in-store credit for his failed tree that was improperly planted (the graft union was about 6 inches above the soil line). We have pointed this out to him in the hopes that for his second attempt he has much better success. He may use the credit at his leisure as it does not have any expiration.

Trees were alive and in good condition
Dissappointed with tree
Persimmon tree arrived with all the side branches cut to the main stem. The very large roots were trimmed at nursery so only a few amputated roots were left. This tree should have been root pruned several times per year at nusery. Tree was planted within one day of arrival, watered every day in well draining, amended soil, and it has still not leafed out. On a positive note, the tree was packed in decent 2-piece box.

Please go halfway up the trunks of the trees in question and scratch the bark with your thumbnail. If there is green, the trees are fine and you will just need to be patient. If they are brown, please take pictures and email them to [email protected] so we can walk you through the warranty process!
