Everything I have ordered from Wood Prairie, has grown well in my garden here in Nebraska. The Potatoes keep the longest of any other kind I have bought. I enjoy the different kinds they offer. I would encourage everyone to help keep the smaller businesses running as they are the back bone of this country.
Thanks so much for your support of our family farm, Dale. Much appreciated! Caleb
I ordered three types of potatoes. Prairie Blush, red gold and Carola. I have grown all before, from other reputable sources and these were of the highest quality and were shipped when promised in excellent condition.
Thanks for your Review, Marlene. Glad our seed has done well for you. Caleb
I received the potatoes in good condition and the harvest so far has been good. I planted them in 55 gallon containers that I cut in half. I have harvested 2 of the 5 containers and have been pleased with the results. I was hoping to get about 40 lbs from my small planting. If my next harvests are as good as the first 2, I'll get 50 lbs. I will be buying these again from Wood Prairie Family Farms.
Happy to hear the King Harry did so well for you, Tom. They were bred at Cornell and the "hairy leaves" make them naturally resistant to Colorado Potato Beetles, Potato Leaf Hoppers and Flea Beetles. It's an outstanding variety. Caleb
Great products, great service and highest commitment to responsible farming and the soil that feeds us.
Thanks for your supportive Review, Kaitlin. Caleb
Great service and the Butte potatoes are beyond delicious! I highly recommend.
We agree, Joe: Butte Russet is an exceptional variety and we've been growing them for 30 years. Great taste, strong yields and great keeper. Thanks for your Review! Jim.

We bought seed potatoes and we had a bumper crop this year!
Wonderful news, Gail! Glad our seed did so well for you. Caleb
It's a pleasure doing business with a farm family who lives according to the same standards they preach. Jim works tirelessly to promote the organic standards that he and his family use on their farm. We need more farmers like the Gerritsens.
That's very kind of you, Ann. We organic old-timers have a responsibility to use our experience to help protect and guide the progress of the organic community. There are always powerful forces out to water down organic standards and try to tear our organic community apart. So, we'll always be here to stand up and fight them. Thanks very much for your support. Jim
Wood Prairie has been supplying seed potatoes to me for many years. The potatoes have always arrived on time and in good shape. Whenever I have had questions about when to plant and how to plant, I got immediate intelligent advice. Needless to say, the crops have been excellent. In fact, we are still as a family eating potatoes from last year's crop. The are delicious and highly recommended. Unfortunately, I have not had similar success with seed potatoes from other sources. Amazon seed potatoes have arrived in bad shape with fungal infections so bad they did not grow and were a waste of money and time. In short, Wood Prairie is highly recommended without hesitation or reservation. Bernard Patten,MD,FACP,FRSM,FTNS,FAAN
Bernard, we've always believed that if we grow good organic seed and sell it directly to folks like you we can make our customers happy and make our living doing it. We appreciate your encouragement and your loyalty. Thank you somuch for your Review. Jim
Always fast and great service with all of the help that I need .
Thanks for your Review, Larry. Caleb
I have ordered seed potatoes from Wood Prairie Farm for three years now. Their potatoes never disappoint! If you are just starting get the Experimenters special and then add varities as you go along!
Robert, we came up with the 'Experimenter's Special' so folks could experiment with different potato varieties and at minimal investment. While potatoes are pretty adaptable the specific conditions of a garden's micro-climate means some varieties will do better than others. You offer got advice to beginners. Thanks! Caleb
I love their company. For almost ten years, as a customer, I have received quality seeds and great variety to choose upon. Their story of family / farm / and mission to provide non-GMO products is an important story to understand. Without our support to them and their dedication to the customer, we will all be worse off.
Thanks for your support, BTB. We're extremely grateful for loyal customers like you. Caleb.
Incredible yields from my seed potatoes this year! Standout crop of Reds!
Glad our organic seed did so well for you Toni. Caleb
I have ordered my seed potatoes from Wood Prairie Family Farm for over a decade now. They are the only place that consistently carries Red Dale, a variety that is resistant to Verticillium Wilt which I have in my soil. The potatoes I receive are of the highest quality, always sprout immediately and are ready to plant out in my coastal California yard in early February. They are also the only company that will ship to me in January. I love that they are a family farm and that I am supporting the diversity of potatoes that they grow every year. It is critical that we support small farms like Wood Prairie and easy to do when they always deliver a great product.
Thanks for your wonderful Review, Birgitt. We agree that Reddale is a great variety and we've been growing it for 30 years! The fact that unlike our competitors we actually grow the Certified Seed we sell and store it here on our farm in our underground potato storage allows us to ship when you need it ten months a year from September until the 4th of July. Grateful for your loyalty and support of our family farm. Caleb
I am a very happy customer of Wood Prairie Family Farm. So far they have my full trust that their seeds I am getting are organic, heirloom, and non-GMO. They produce great in my garden. I had great success with their potatoes, beans, leafy veggies, herbs, peppers and tomatoes. Some seeds I get to save and plant them the following year. There are only a few farms like this that I can have a full trust for quality and not have any doubts when it comes to feeding my family. I find their products a bit pricey though but at this point, I don't have much choice and I believe much of price amount is going towards all those "organic" labels. We all know it all depends on the farmer at the end anyway. The system is corrupt, it doesn't work for farmers nor consumers.
Thanks for your Review, Birute. Glad to hear that our organic seed has done so well for you! Caleb
