The tours were fantastic. All the tour guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. Our main tour guide Veronica was incredible. She wanted to make it the best experience for us possible. She listened to all of our concerns and adapted the schedule where she could. Our bus driver was very kind also. The ease of scheduling was great as well.
The meals and the hotels left things to be desired. For the amount of money we paid. I was disappointed that one night we were fed chicken nuggets for dinner. It’s completely unacceptable. When we had issues at the hotels with biting ants, we reached out to explorer and nothing was done. That’s very frustrating! After all of the comments that you put on your website about world class experience and 24 seven care, we were left in a foreign country with no communication to us personally despite being told that I would get a call back.

Our tour guide Khalid was the BEST and everyone on his team also! Overall this was the trip of a lifetime. The itinerary was jam packed and full of amazing sights...every day was like WHOA! There are some things I wish were different. I didn't get to room with my son and shouldn't have had to pay extra to do that. My "roomate" was sick the whole 1st 1/2 of the trip and I was stuck with her...resulting in my being sick upon return home. Having to pack our luggage over and over was annoying to have 3 hotels, the cruise and the flight to Aswan. We should have been able to just pack what we needed and left our luggage at Parks Pyramid in Cairo since that's where we kept coming back to! The Nile cruise was awesome, great staff, food and accomodations - best coffee! The hotel in Luxor "Isis Pyramid" was also awesome but we only got to stay there 1 night. I had an amazing massage! Our tour to Abu Simbel was cancelled and we were never notified as to why and I'm guessing that going to Alexandria was probably a last-minute substitution but a 3hr bus ride to a hot hotel that smells like you are being smacked with a hot ashtray every time you step out of your room, is not worth it. Also, taking people to the Mediterranean sea and not letting us actually go IN it, is a fail. A beach day would have been amazing. The Grand Plaza Hotel in Alexandria was the worst. I loved the Essence of Life essential oils shop and am in love with my Queen Cleopatra oil...smells heavenly. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone who loves history and travel. Truly amazing. Visiting Greece and cruising for 4 days was just what we needed! So many wonderful memories made. We would have liked a more detailed daily agenda with approximate times. We did not realize the amount of free time we would have and the additional expenses of the free time. Our tour guide did make recommendations.

Our tour guide was very friendly and nice, but lacked in overall communication and planning. He was hard to keep up with, (started walking without clear communication to the group), didn't always wait for the entire group, changed plans with little/no communication beforehand. Planning also left a lot to be desired "this is how it was last year/last time" and some things changed. Lack of forward looking and planning.

we definitely got to see so many places. It was a great value. It was very fast paced, but not too fast that we couldn't keep up. I would have liked to have had more dinners out in restaurants instead of in the hotels.

Disappointing and overpriced …
We were very excited about our son’s school trip to the National Parks in late May. The price tag was pretty steep but we knew the experiences would be life changing. When the trip time arrived, we were surprised to see that the tour company had booked very cheap rooms (4 guys crammed into a $50 room) at Comfort Inn and Quality Inn locations. The boys were on the bus for long hours each day getting to and from park hiking excursions. The planned meals were not always edible (bbq place in Kanab UT was inedible). Given the calories and energy our son was depleting each day we were very disappointed at the quality of food and rest accommodations for the steep trip cost. Finally, the tour companion provided by the company was not active / present for many of the activities, often staying on the bus instead of actually performing her guide responsibilities onsite at the national parks. The teachers who went on this trip from our school were the ones who suggested cool things to see and really made the trip experience rich. Looking back, I would have preferred to organize the travel, hotel, meals, and tours myself to ensure that these noted deficiencies would not be an issue. I do not think any of the students or teachers on this trip got their money’s worth from this tour company.

I truly enjoyed my trip to Portugal, Spain and France in Europe . It was well planned, organized and beautiful sites were visited. Sometimes the bus was not allowed to park close to the location of our tours and had to walk to get there for 10 minutes. I didn’t mind the walk.

Our NYC experience was by far one of the best trips I have ever had the privilege to go on. Our tour guide, David was methodical but, flexible in getting our group of 40+ people to some of the greatest spots (both big and small) that make NYC special. World Strides is certainly a company that I will be using in the future with my other children when they come of age and I will encourage all parents/guardians to allow this company to guide your experience to one of the greatest cities in the world... This is my 3rd tour with World Strides. Having a tour director makes trips so much easier. They are always locals. They have travel tips, cultural tidbits, restaurant suggestions. And world strides always balances the schedule with tours and places to visit with enough free time that you can rest if you need it or keep going on your own.
