Freddie is the man. All the coaches were comfortable and can’t wait for the next excursion. Ronny was awesome too. However the flights and not being able to upgrade or select your seat on a 10 hour flight is mind blowing. Especially for people with surgically repaired knees.

Personally, I thought the tour was the best vacation I’ve ever been on. Our guide Yasmina was extremely kind and motivated to help us learn and experience everything throughout France and Spain, my most memorable part of the trip was Biarritz on the basque countryside, where me and my friends explore the tidepools and walk the city that felt so close to home. The dinners were amazing every night at wonderful restaurants with great service and the hotels, especially the one in San. Sebastian were wonderful and had amazing room service. If in the future, I am presented with another world strides tour I would instantly sign up.

Our guide, Ruben, was amazing! However, a couple of the long travel days could have been avoided with better transportation options, such as a high-speed train instead of an eight-hour bus ride. That would have given us time to enjoy a well deserved pool day! I would also suggest better restaurants options!

Very organized trip with plenty to do! Very little downtime and I preferred that in my trip.

Our tour guide was amazing
Our tour guide was amazing. The local guides were very entertaining. We left like it was a great primer to be able to go again on our own. We will definitely go back to see and experience more of the amazing art museums. Small negatives…We would have liked more time at some of the stops. We would have liked to enter some of the spots on the bus tours. It was not clear that we were not actually visiting inside some of the places listed. So, be sure you are clear what you have tickets for and what you are just doing a drive by on! There were a few times that dinner was what they served, with no alternatives. (No choices). Make sure you list strong dislikes as dietary restrictions. For instance, if you don’t eat shellfish, you need to make sure it is listed so you can get a different meal. Otherwise, highly recommend! We would go again!

France and Spain are beautiful countries that beautifully showcase their unique characteristics through architecture, language, and food. It was wonderful to experience their diversity.
However, I felt undervalued and ignored by our tour guide, Yaminia.
When we visited the Eiffel Tower, she told me I would only be able to go up to the 2nd floor and that she would explain why while buying the tickets. In the end, she only mentioned that the staff had been rude to her, but never gave me a clear reason why I couldn’t go to the 3rd floor. This was especially frustrating because we had rushed to get there before closing time.
Another disappointing incident occurred during dinner. We had ordered steaks, and I specifically requested mine medium rare. The waitress warned Yaminia that the restaurant usually cooks steaks more thoroughly, but she only changed her own order (from blue to another doneness), along with the teacher’s and her husband’s. When my plate arrived, it was fully cooked. Yaminia told me that my son had received my plate by mistake and that it was his fault. He is just a child and didn’t know. I ended up not eating. Meanwhile, she was the first to start eating and showed little concern for the rest of us.
Additionally, before and after almost every dinner, she had us walk 35–45 minutes back to the hotel. After long, hot days (often around 100°F) filled with walking and climbing stairs in Spain, these evening walks with a full stomach were exhausting. Many times I felt like I would pass out. I saw no compassion from her toward me or the children—only what appeared to be enjoyment in pushing us.
On the last night, I had to take a taxi back to the hotel. She offered no help, so I had to return to the restaurant to ask the waiter for assistance. He kindly called a taxi for me and gave me the number 161, which I will never forget.
I also felt the itinerary was not well balanced. During the first few days, we visited too many places each day, with excessive walking back and forth through the metro system and returning to the hotel very late (close to midnight on one occasion). I was often so tired, nauseated, and exhausted that I couldn’t truly enjoy or appreciate the sights.
Furthermore, while free time was given daily for shopping and lunch, the only instruction was that children must stay in groups of at least three. In my opinion, allowing young kids to go off unattended is dangerous.
The second hotel was also problematic. The room was very small, the bed had no proper mattress, and the large lamps were so bright they blinded my eyes. I felt claustrophobic inside.
One final issue: our tour guide asked us for extra money to give to the driver, Julian. I understood that the cost for both the driver and the guide was already included in the trip price, so I do not believe it was appropriate to ask for more money—even though she did not force us, she did insist.
Finally, on our return flight to LAX, the connection time between planes was too short. We had to run through the airport and were unable to buy food or water. Airline food is usually not very good, so this added to an already stressful experience.
Unfortunately, I did not have a good experience on this trip. I wish the organizers had clearly stated in advance that they prefer not to have parents traveling with their children. The only reason I joined was because my child asked me to. For such an expensive trip, it is unfair not to be able to enjoy it.
I’m sharing these facts in the hope that future trips can be improved. Thank you for reaching out for feedback.

Japan was amazing
Both of my boys' thought Japan was beautiful and the sights were amazing. They loved the deer park, bullet train, and Pokemon.
I loved all the photos their tour guide, Mariko, took of their travel group. She even wrote out both of their first names in Japanese as a keepsake for them.

Our 4 day stay was at the recently renovated Hyatt Zilara Cancun (all adult resort)
My sister and I booked this trip last minute to take some time to relax and enjoy each others time. And that is exactly what we did. We enjoyed the excellent food and relaxed by the pool. We were able to choose a quiet and relaxing pool side environment or choose the pool side with daily fun activities. We enjoyed both. The beach was really too rough to swim but we enjoyed our beach walks and pool side relaxation. The staff are attentive and friendly. The only drawback that we experienced was the staff within the resort that would attempt to sell you a service we weren't interested in buying into. We will without a doubt return next year.

I want to preface this review by saying I've had fantastic experiences on previous WorldStrides trips, and that the trip itself was very well-planned. I took a small group of students and overall, they really enjoyed themselves. The trip is very fast-paced (7 countries in 14 days is a lot!) and tiring, but you get to see so much! I thought there was a good balance of sights and experiences. The local guides were amazing and we learned a lot from them. Unfortunately, our tour director was not very engaged and didn't do most of the walking tours of the cities. He seemed to spend most of his time buying marzipan. He would give us some information about the different places on the bus and then the entire time in the city would be free time, with no suggestions or support. This was so blatant that it became a joke among the students, and they were upset about missing certain experiences that were listed in the itinerary. I also didn't have the best experience with WorldAssist when our flights were delayed or there were other issues; their only support was to tell me they had opened a case and to let them know what I was doing about the issues. They didn't give any advice about how to fix things. Fortunately, I'm an experienced traveler, so I was able to handle it, but someone doing this for the first time might have struggled.
In summary: definitely look at this itinerary! We saw wonderful things, swam in the Mediterranean, and made memories for a lifetime.

I got to see more things than if I had just gone by myself or booked the trip myself. The accommodations were first class. I would have preferred to order my own food but other than that it was great.

I have discovered that other schools have a 10 to 1 chaperone rate while we have a 15-1. Also, the last trip was not what we had hoped as several places were inaccessible due to ufc fight. I feel like scheduling could have been better to accommodate the group. Not being able to go to the Lincoln memorial was inexcusable.

Our time was not spent wisely .. we had hours of free time multiple days in the same area… Since we were given soo much free time, it would have been nice to explore other ateas of the country.
