I claim 2023
I claim 2023, still I didn't receive my money,
Reply from AirAdvisor2026-06-29
Dear Blessing,
Thank you for your feedback. We understand how frustrating it is to wait for the resolution of a claim, and we appreciate your patience.
After reviewing your file, we can confirm that your claim was received and successfully submitted to the airline on **14.11.2024**. From that point, we actively followed up with the airline and worked to obtain a response and payment on your behalf.
Unfortunately, as the airline did not settle your claim within the allocated period, we proceeded with the next step in the process. On **13.01.2025**, your case was assigned to our legal partners, and legal action was initiated. Once a claim enters the legal stage, the timeline is no longer solely within our control, as it depends on the airline's response, court procedures, and the applicable legal process in the relevant jurisdiction.
Please be assured that your claim has not been forgotten or abandoned. It remains active, and our legal partners continue to work on your behalf to pursue the compensation you may be entitled to. While we understand that the waiting time is disappointing, legal proceedings can sometimes take longer than expected, especially when airlines contest claims or delay their responses.
As soon as we receive any update or there is any progress in your case, we will contact you without delay.
Thank you for your understanding and for trusting AirAdvisor to represent your claim.
Warm regards,
The AirAdvisor Team

We found AirAdvisor to be very helpful
We found AirAdvisor to be very helpful, professional and swift in settling our delayed flight claim through the airline. This after trying to deal with the airline directly for months with no success. We also received our refund very promptly after being advised that our claim had been settled. Should we ever have the need to claim again, we will use AirAdvisor.

Total scam
Total scam. The airline has paid out the claim and they kept the full amount, claiming that they don't have any record of it.

Dear A I,
We are sorry to hear about your experience and understand your concerns.
We would appreciate it if you could contact our support team with more details about your claim, such as your claim number or the email address used to submit it. This will allow us to investigate your case thoroughly and clarify what happened.
AirAdvisor provides its services under the No-Win-No-Fee rule. This means you do not need to pay anything upfront for our services. If we successfully collect compensation from the airline on your behalf, we transfer the compensation to you after deducting the agreed commission. We do not keep compensation without a valid reason, and we are committed to maintaining a transparent process throughout every claim.
If you believe the airline has already paid your compensation but you have not received it, we would like to review the details of your case as soon as possible. Our team will be happy to investigate and provide you with a clear explanation.
We value every client and are committed to resolving any concerns promptly.
Warm regards,

A waste of time at best, information harvesting at worst
You should only need a service like AirAdvisor when the basic, automated 'we don't pay out for this' claims with the airlines go wrong.
So to find that AirAdvisor do the same thing seems to render them... completely pointless?
The difference being - where the airline only require sensible information like the booking reference number and the name of the passenger, AirAdvisor require an outrageous amount of detail that made me question if it was worth applying, even if I did get a successful claim. Requiring some level of personal information to file claims is of course necessary, but asking for a copy of your passport, and requiring a live image to validate it, is serious ID verification that should only be used when absolutely necessary. I cannot see why it is needed at the first stage of filing a claim for travel disruption, especially when, just like the airline, the claims are dismissed out of hand anyway!
For context, the claim concerns a flight affected by a bird strike, which is regrettably not covered under EU regulations. The reason for claiming, however, is because the affected flight was three flights prior to the one I was taking, and the incident occurred at the airline's home hub airport, not a remote location. It does not seem unreasonable that an airline might have some contingency plans for this. What if the bird strike had been the day before? The week before?
This at least seemed worth trying to claim for as there is some ambiguity there, not only that, but also precedents where people have won cases for exactly this scenario, but seemingly AirAdvisor do not consider it worth their while.
I have avoided a 1-star review as I think this unnecessary when they have not taken any money, but I would have been far more forgiving of a claim being dismissed if they hadn't taken such an absurd amount of personal information. The information contained within the booking reference should be all such a service should need. Asking for copies of people's passports and biometric ID to then almost immediately decide they weren't going to take any action leaves a very bad taste and I would not consider this service again in future.

Dear Sam,
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback.
We are sorry to hear that your experience did not meet your expectations. We understand your concerns regarding both the outcome of your claim and the information requested during the application process.
Regarding the documentation requirements, please note that identity verification procedures are in place to protect our customers and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and anti-fraud requirements. As we often act on behalf of passengers in communications with airlines and, where necessary, legal representatives, we must be able to verify the identity of the claimant and confirm their authorization for us to act on their behalf. This is why certain documents may be requested during the claims process.
We would also like to reassure you that all personal data submitted to AirAdvisor is handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and security standards. The information provided by our customers is used solely for the purpose of processing claims and is protected through strict privacy and security measures. We do not collect personal information beyond what is necessary to verify a claim and pursue it effectively on a customer's behalf.
With respect to the outcome of your claim, our assessment was based on the information available and the applicable legal framework. Bird strikes are generally considered extraordinary circumstances under Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 and are typically outside the airline's control. While we understand your argument regarding aircraft rotation and operational contingency planning, each case must be evaluated according to the available evidence and the likelihood of success based on current legal practice.
Please be assured that claims are not dismissed without review. Our team evaluates the facts of each case before determining whether there are sufficient grounds to proceed. In situations where the prospects of success are very limited, we may decide not to pursue the claim further, as doing so could create unrealistic expectations for our customers.
It is also important to note that AirAdvisor operates under a "No-Win-No-Fee" policy. This means that customers do not pay anything upfront, and we only receive a fee if compensation is successfully recovered from the airline. In cases where a claim is unsuccessful, customers are not charged for our services. Therefore, we have every incentive to pursue valid claims whenever there is a reasonable prospect of success.
We appreciate that you may disagree with our assessment, and we understand your frustration. However, the decision was made based on our professional evaluation of the case and the applicable regulations rather than a lack of willingness to assist.
Thank you again for sharing your perspective. Feedback such as yours helps us continue improving our processes, communication, and customer experience.
Warm regards,
The AirAdvisor Team
I have been dealing with air advisor for 5 months, every documentation they asked for I provided. They have been giving me the run around because they don’t want to pay out for my luggage not making my connecting flight. This company has been a complete headache!
Reply from AirAdvisor2026-06-23
Dear Krystle Cantu,
Thank you for your feedback.
We are sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with your experience and understand your frustration regarding the length of the process.
However, we would like to clarify that we have not yet received one of the key documents required to proceed with your baggage claim: the Property Irregularity Report (PIR). This document is essential for verifying and pursuing claims related to delayed, lost, or mishandled baggage. Without it, neither we nor the airline can properly assess the claim.
Please note that requests for additional documentation are not intended to delay the process. They are necessary to ensure that the claim meets the airline's requirements and has the best possible chance of success. Unfortunately, if mandatory documents are missing, we are unable to move the case forward.
As soon as the required Property Irregularity Report is provided, we will be able to continue processing your claim and pursue it with the airline.
We appreciate your cooperation and remain available to assist you with any questions regarding the required documentation.
Warm regards,
The AirAdvisor Team
They answered my question and in all due fairness they didn't but they did and I thank them for this.

Dear Octavian Tarca,
Thank you for your feedback.
We completely understand your frustration regarding the length of time your claim has been taking. When a claim remains unresolved for an extended period, it is natural to feel concerned that no progress is being made, and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the delay.
We would like to assure you that your claim remains active and is still being pursued. One of the main reasons for the extended timeline is that, during the handling of your case, we had to change the lawyer responsible for the proceedings. Unfortunately, this is not a simple administrative change. The new legal representative had to thoroughly review the entire case file, analyze the available documentation, familiarize themselves with the history of communication with the airline, and continue the legal process in accordance with the applicable procedures. This transition inevitably required additional time and temporarily slowed down the progress of the claim.
In addition, legal proceedings often involve factors that are outside our direct control, including response times from airlines, court schedules, procedural requirements, and the workload of the parties involved. While we always strive to move cases forward as efficiently as possible, these external factors can sometimes result in longer processing times than initially expected.
Please rest assured that changing the lawyer was done to ensure that your claim continues to receive proper legal representation and the best possible chance of a successful outcome. The case has not been closed, abandoned, or placed on hold. Our legal partners continue to work on your behalf and pursue the compensation you may be entitled to receive.
We fully understand that the waiting period has been lengthy, and we sincerely appreciate the patience you have shown since opening your claim in July 2023. We value your trust and remain committed to assisting you until the matter reaches a conclusion.
As soon as we receive any significant update or progress from the legal team, we will contact you immediately and keep you informed of the next steps.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
Warm regards,
The AirAdvisor Team

Case Inadequately and Incorrectly Reviewed
I used AirAdvisor to handle a flight compensation claim for a Zürich → New Orleans itinerary (via Dallas). Despite providing clear documentation showing the trip originated in Switzerland, my claim was incorrectly closed on the basis that it was a “non-EU airline and non-EU departure,” which does not align with EC261 applicability for European departures like Zürich.
When I questioned this, I received inconsistent explanations about the route and jurisdiction, including statements suggesting the flight occurred within the United States, which is factually incorrect based on the submitted itinerary.
The claim was ultimately closed without a proper manual review of the actual route, and the reasoning provided contradicted both the flight details and the company’s own guidance on flights departing from Switzerland.
Overall, the service felt inaccurate and poorly reviewed, with little accountability when challenged.
Reply from AirAdvisor2026-06-25
Dear Hunter,
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.
We are sorry that the outcome of your claim left you dissatisfied. We would like to clarify that the decision was not based on a misunderstanding of your itinerary or a failure to recognize that your journey originated in Zürich, Switzerland.
International regulations do exist for passengers departing from Europe. However, after reviewing your case under the applicable legal framework, including the agreement between Switzerland and the European Union, we determined that flight AA201 does not qualify for compensation under Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004. While Switzerland participates in many aspects of the European aviation framework, the treaty between Switzerland and the EU does not recognize delays as compensable under EC261 in the circumstances applicable to your case.
We understand that this conclusion may seem inconsistent with your understanding of the regulation, especially given that the journey originated in Switzerland. However, eligibility for compensation depends not only on the departure location but also on the specific legal provisions applicable to the route, carrier, and nature of the disruption.
Please be assured that your claim was reviewed before a final decision was made. The outcome was based on our interpretation of the applicable legislation and current legal practice rather than the geographic origin of the flight alone.
We regret any confusion caused by the explanations provided during our correspondence and apologize if any of our communications were unclear. Our intention is always to provide accurate information and a transparent assessment of each case.
As AirAdvisor operates under a "No-Win-No-Fee" policy, we only receive compensation for our work when a claim is successful. Therefore, we have no interest in rejecting potentially valid claims and always strive to pursue cases where there is a reasonable legal basis for success.
Thank you again for your feedback. We appreciate the opportunity to explain our position and wish you all the best in your future travels.
Warm regards,
