Beware this company! Anglian Water fit a smart meter to our water meter without asking. 6 months later our water bill was increased 430% from £40 per month to over £200! When challenging the bill we were advised our account would be put on “hold” What this actually means is they cancel your direct debit and treat the next bill as a missed payment. The issue is on going, they have yet to offer to replace the meter or take any accountability for the issues.
Today I used Anglian Water's WhatsApp customer service chat and I was helped by a wonderful agent named Claire. After the standard security questions, Claire had quickly provided me with my Account number which enabled me to log in to the Anglian Water app. I mentioned that I had had a leak recently and wanted to confirm this was now fixed. Not only did Claire make enquiries with the leak team to put my mind at ease that the leaked had indeed stopped, she went above and beyond by arranging for me a leak allowance. This whole process was made very easy on my part all through the helpfulness and professionalism shown today. 5* customer service Anglian Water and a very appreciative customer here!
One Star to much worst company no customer service by them over 4 months now got no were.shame on them why don't they concentrating on the bad water layer supply all these fines they keep getting and they put onto the customers
Just had a new digital water meter fitted and my bill has gone up 1000% they fitted a new digital meter to my neighbours house the same day 6th of january and caused a massive leak and just drove off. Contacted the company for an expalnation unfortuntaly still not resoloved. I advised them to cut my water off as it would be cheaper to buy bottled water from the shops!
I've spoken to Anglian water three times, once with Sarah and twice with Jackie. They're customer service skills are impeccable, they are very understanding and so friendly and seem like they will do anything to help you.
A waste of time 4 months on with Angela water complaints. I changed my timer for walls been another timer for a standard one make changed it without telling me Nathan I got to go for the whole procedure with them which I did then they come back with me so they can help me what's a waste of time
I just spoke via whatts app chat to Anglian water customer services… I didn’t even expect a reply tonght as Friday 5pm! But they did reply - fast and with no messing about asking for my life story!! The customer service advisor literally sorted everything for me so quickly, was very understanding and polite and friendly, it was obvious I was not talking with a robot!! I wanted to really give credit where credit is due because I have so many bad experiences with online and phone support over the last few weeks. Well done Anglian Water!!
With all the Issues I'm having with certain places, they've been brilliant. Trying everything possible to help me get this issue sorted. All have been very polite,helpful and going out there way to help resolve it, and are going to keep an eye out on anything else they can help with. Thankyou all
Over a week of chaos. A burst water main in the next village (Panxworth) is causing chaos - they have closed the whole road for over a week! A major trunk road (A47) nearby has night closures and large vehicles now have to use narrow country lanes - because AW have closed the only reasonable alternative route. The diversion signs are unclear. Very self centred of them - pull your finger out - a whole new main could be installed in 2 days a few years ago.
Buying a new house and trying to find details of services going into property. Told to speak direct to Anglian Water. On speaking to them they stated we had to contact Digdat.co.uk. Anglian Water stated that this company held all plans of fresh water going into property and sewage services going out. Anglian water also stated this company would provide information free of charge. When contacting Digdat they would provide maps of water services and sewage services but this would cost £34.80 per map. Yet another example of utilities companies fleecing their customers when this is information they hold which they should provide for free. Surely we pay enough to these utility companies.
I have always been impressed with the service from this company. The staff are friendly, polite and always able to solve any queries. Its very good they provide a leak allowance and especially good they can see any issues from the Smart meters. Plus they answer the phone straight away. Thank you to the gentleman l spoke today regarding my outside tap exploding and lots of water everywhere!
Contacted Anglian Water via WhatsApp for a query that got resolved within minutes. Spoke to Kyle who not only sorted the original request, but also took initiative to make things easier in the future. I dont usually leave reviews, but this communication was by far the quickest and easiest that I have ever had with any customer services.
I had a bit of a suspect bill (higher than expected) so I contacted the WhatsApp helpline and got through to Madeline who was incredibly helpful and asked all sorts of questions about my usage. She arranged an engineer to come by to check everything out and also put a stop on my bills. Easy, swift and convenient to use and a lovely interaction with madeleine really put my mind at ease!
We had to arrange a repair to an outside stopcock at my mother in law's property. It was very easy to contact Anglian via WhatsApp or their online service to report the issue. The ability to track progress and to be informed also via text was good. It was also good to receive a text when the engineer was due to visit and see his photo. The engineer Simon did a thorough job, contacted me to check everything and fixed the fault. All done in under 24 hours since I reported the problem. Well done
