I used Champion a few years back and had all windows replaced in MN, and had a good experience. I made an appointment with Champion in Columbia, SC. They did have an automated text and email conformation. On the day of the appointment they didn't show up. Never called...nothing. I would not recommend them at all. Very unprofessional.

We are now having to get attorney. We have been trying to get Champion Windows to finish our window. This has been going on almost 2 years. No one will return a call or an email. What ever you do no not buy from these people. Once they get the money they run and won't return call.

Even zero stars is too generous...

If I could give this company a zero star review, that still would be too generous. Champion windows built a "sunroom" for my parents 16 years ago. From the get-go, it had issues with leaking from the roof, and through windows. Champion came out several times to "fix" the issue, but they never fully resolved it. Over the last 10 years, there's been a constant leak through one of the windows. My parents have tried and tried to get help through Champion but Champion never resolved their issues and. A few years ago, the leak became so bad that the room became somewhat unusable. With the warranty being up last year, my dad asked Champion to come fix the problem and said he would pay full price. After speaking with him twice, they, again, ignored his calls so instead we hired a contractor to come in and check what the issue was, once and for all. After removing walls and flooring the contractor found that, for some reason, the Champion installers drilled holes and cut channels that never should have been altered thus causing the excess water to flow through areas not meant for water. The subflooring is crumbling and rotted and mold is everywhere. The contractors said, unfortunately they see issues like this all the time with Champion. So disappointing.

I had Champion replace 4 skylight…

I had Champion replace 4 skylight windows in 2011. The warranty is for lifetime repair for seal failure. One window on June 17 2026 had a seal failure. Called Champion and was told that they don’t manufacture skylight windows anymore and cannot repair the seal failure. I was also told that the warranty was for one year, while I have the warranty in front of me stating “Lifetime warranty”. I wouldn’t recommend a company that would not stand behind their products.

Beyond Disappointing

First I would like to give a 5 stars reviews to their marketing, sales and installers. Those individuals we met and interact with were excellent & professional in every way. They were friendly, courteous, answer every questions we had, clean up after installation, etc. We needed a new door, just happen I work for (note that I am an employee of) Champion; of course they are our first choice, especially with their lifetime guarantee and abilities to custom order it. We selected the door with 2 side panels with half glass, in purple. They delivered everything on March 10th, 2026. As soon as the door came of the truck, I knew it was the wrong one. Not the door I ordered. They had to install it since I got no door at this point, but they reported the issue. Within 48 hrs, we got a call they have re-ordered the correct door for us and it will be done within 6-8 weeks. Totally understand, as there were other orders already went in after us. We were okay with it. 6 weeks would be the week of April 20th, 8 weeks week of May 4th. We got a call the week of May 4th saying our door is done and will be delivered May 12th. The day came around, nothing. My husband called on the 13th, cust service said they do not have our order for the replacement! A sign of what to come. I called on Friday the 15th, thank goodness this time, the person found the replacement order. I asked where is it & what's going on. All she said it should take 7-10 weeks not 6-8. So I should give them until end of May. That would be more than 10 weeks! By now it was 9 weeks already. The following week on Wednesday, I called again. This time, the person actually took the time to find out (maybe, how would I know). He tried to reach 2 scheduling people but none available. He told me, he left a msg for a person named Robin (I found out later on; Robin no longer work for Champion), and she will call me that day or Friday by the latest. That same day, I texted our sales person. He was surprised about what's going on and promise to get to the bottom of it. I got a text later on, saying someone named Angela will call me today. No call from Angela Thursday 5/21, told Drew, Angela never called. At this point I am so done with all of them. I know for a fact they have my door. They have the color cuz they painted the wrong door already. So it wouldn't take 10 weeks to paint one. I feel since we have paid it in full, to them it isn't urgent since there is not a hole in my house. I told Drew, if they cannot deliver the door by Friday or Tuesday at the latest, then I want a refund. I am tired of waiting. The door they delivered is wrong! So I shouldn't be charged for it. I didn't get a response from him. But the next thing we know, a lead installer called us a couple hours later and said he's going to install my door tomorrow (on Friday!!). Only after I got my sales person involved & threaten them that I want a refund, they move like lightning. If they treated an employee like this, I cannot imagine how would they treat customers. I do not ask to be treated more than any other customers. But you would think, they want to treat their employee a little better. So when I am working promoting their products, I can brag not just about the the items but also their services. Unfortunately their services just terrible. Beyond disappointing.

Flimsy & cheap screens - no real warranty

The windows are amazing. The screens are flimsy and they have a lifetime warranty for replacement with hidden issues: you are charged a $130 fee for them to even come out and if your screens blew away, you pay $81 per new screen. They are only free if you have the old frame.

This review is for Champion Window Co SUNROOM

This review is for Champion Window Co. Sunroom in the Albuquerque NM area. It is written hopefully to Help those contemplating buying a Champion Sunroom. Looking back, the whole experience was a nightmare. We did not do enough research about sunrooms and just thought a sunroom was a sunroom, when planning the conversion of our 7x12 ft covered patio to a sunroom. Tip, the Champion Seller coming to your home is Not your Friend, he/she is a person trying to get the most money for less of a job as WE LEARNED. Our Champion seller Richard V. was a “Hustler” in our opinion.. A buyer should not just accept the cost amount on the contract, but rather should negotiate. We accepted what was first given to us in the contract, and later learned we probably paid about $3500.00 too much. Richard V. drew us a Sketch of 3 choices for size of windows, we chose his first sketch. Later finding out with Marcos when measuring, ……..the window sketch we chose with Richard was NOT even available. Do Not accept sketches from the seller, DEMAND seeing actual photos of what your contract reads, and photos of what you are buying. After all, this is the digital world we live in. Richard did not totally explain what was in the contract, like transoms, we did not even know what a transom was until measurements were made by Champion's Marco. Richard V. handed us a blank warranty paper but did not explain it, nor did he give us anywhere our Customer Number to complete the warranty. Then there was Champion’s worker, Gilbert, who was obviously in training (in our opinion) and came to our home after Marcos’ measurements were taken. Gilbert said he was there to take more measurements and said if we ever had questions we could call him.. During Gilbert’s first visit, he asked ME for a level to measure???! During another visit with Gilbert he drew a sketch of what we were getting.. He and we both signed his Sketch paper showing that the Transoms would be Glass, Marcos was also present at this meeting. Again, Do not just accept Sketches……..ask for an actual photograph of what you are buying. Gilbert called the next day to inform us..... transoms would Not be glass as drawn & SIGNED in HIS sketch, as contract reads Viny transoms. It was in the contract drawn up by Richard, after we double checked, and the transoms checked as Vinyl....big difference in cost. We called Gilbert back to ask the size of transoms with his yelling to us & said he would call us back & he never did. We had to call Shyia at a Champion main number, and she Finally gave us our Customer Number (4150002894). Shyia had Albuquerque Champion Frank D. telephone us. We explained our Champion headaches with Frank who DID help Frank offered to send a drawing of Sunroom dimensions, we said PLEASE send a Picture/Photo of what we are buying, and he did. Both drawn sketches, one by Richard and the other by Gilbert were WRONG. Drawing a sketch is like the year 1966, this is 2026 giving a picture/photo to possible customers is so easy, sketches are a waste of time and can sure cause problems. For the third time, Demand photos and don’t rely on Champion SKETCHES. Frank D. was now in control of the job and weeks later it was completed with Marcos doing the installation. Everything we have written in this review is also documented with messages and emails with Champion Window co. We truly believe we Paid a lot of money for a lot of Frustration & lack of sleep.

DO NOT LET THEM INTO YOUR HOME

DO NOT LET THEM INTO YOUR HOME. The Champion Salesperson, G...y D, RECORDED our WHOLE conversation on his laptop that he was showing us the product presentation from WITHOUT telling us he was recording and WITHOUT our consent !!!! This is a violation of our privacy in our home! Even when he step away to get material from his car, when my husband and I thought we were "alone" My husband and I were talking about private things including information about our kids, etc.. We feel SO personal VIOLATED. My husband confronted him, he claimed he deleted it...We called multiple times to talk with manager or corporate. We left message. No one was available to talk to us. We currently are waiting for some type response back.

Buyer beware

Buyer beware. Working with Champion has been one of the WORST experiences I have had. I signed the contract in May of 2023. This job is still not finished. The job was to convert a small screened porch to a sunroom. Since 2023, Yes THREE years, they have installed defective glass 2 times. Finally after waiting over a year, they returned last week to replace the defective glass again. The glass they came with was also defective. It's the SAME defect each time. To me it looks like a roller mark or streak usually in the middle of the glass. It shows up as the sun hits it and gets worse as the glass warms up. Did I mention that this is a SUNROOM?! Whether the glass comes from Champion or one of their affiliates, the defect is still there. Continuing to follow the same process and expect a different outcome is the very definition of insanity. They have a defective process leading to a defective product and I cannot believe that it only happens to my glass. Their poor quality product is matched by their poor communication. I was told that it would typically take 4 months for the glass to come in. I have historically had to reach out to them usually around 6 months. At those points I have been told: 1) my glass had come in but was returned by mistake as they thought it was someone else's defective glass. 2) My glass came in but it was broken 3) My glass came in but was defective ( multiple times) The second time they came to replace the defective glass, they arrived missing one piece and a second was the wrong size. AND the glass that was installed was defective again with the same streak Yes, THREE years in and not finished. Rediculous. I would also give poor marks to the quality of their screens and sliding door locks. I have complained about all of this along with other issues multiple times. Needless to say. I would not, have not and will not recommend this company.

Would not recommend to anybody.

Would not recommend to anybody. Salesman promised they would install roof flashing where the additions meet the main house. No roof flashing was installed. 2 gutters were crushed by their ladders. 1 short gutter was apparently removed & thrown away. 2 downspouts were never put back on. Today I noticed they never reattached the power mast. $30k just got thrown away. They refuse to return our calls.

Champion Is Not It

Windows are fine and look good, albeit expensive, but we went ahead with Champion based on a personal reference and the fact that there was no middleman - everything is handled by Champion from sale, to manufacture, to installation and support. Really, at every step along the way, there have been issues. Post-sale financing took too long, manufacture and shipment of the windows were delayed, installation left us with missing screens and a broken window, which then meant dealing with support, which has been horrendous. Still waiting on the screens and window, and the interior was damaged during installation.

Sunroom Discrimination

We recently went to the Kerrville Home Show in Kerrville Tx for the express purpose of talking to Sunroom companies. We plan plan to put a great big 35 x 12 All-Seasons room onto our home. We talked with a rep with Champion Sunrooms and set up an appointment for someone to come out and give us a quote. We also talked with the 2 other Sunroom Companies while we were there. Our first appointment for Champion to come out was for Friday, April 3 @ 6:00pm. Someone called us the day before to confirm the appointment. However by 6:40pm on Friday the 3rd, no one had shown up nor had they called. We called them that evening to find out what had happened. No reason was given, but the rep set up another appointment for the next day, which was Saturday, April 4th @ 9am. Saturday came, 9am rolled around and it was a "no call, no show" once again. I called Champion to let them know and informed them that was 2 strikes. The rep apologized and once again reset our appointment, this time for today - Tuesday, March 7 @ 6pm. Today at 2:25pm, my husband was informed that they were cancelling because we live in Manufactured Home in a Mobile Home Park in which we rent the land, but own the home outright. I'm not sure WHY that has any bearing on the situation unless they think we planned to finance the Sunroom, but that's not the case as we planned to pay outright in cash. It's also been approved by the City and by the Mobile Home Park already. This is terrible business practice and it's also discrimination. Obviously, this business believes that someone who lives in a mobile home park is naturally just trash and can't afford something like a Sunroom. We'll be giving our cold hard cash to another company that treats all people equally no matter where they happen to live.

MISERABLE 369-DAY EXPERIENCE

7-11-22: We order a storm door (front) & sliding glass door (back) through James of Champion Windows. He is charming; just the kind of person you want representing your company on Day 1. Unfortunately, ALL THE OTHER DAYS THAT WILL FOLLOW are a sharp slope downhill at breakneck speed until you find yourself, more than a year later, with work still undone, major depression, & a mounting collection of photographic evidence of damage done to the front & back of your home/property. I made a fatal flaw. I looked at the Google stars/# of reviews & concluded that CW was sufficient to do the work. What I should have done was pull up all the 1-star reviews & look at the clear pattern. I should have checked the Better Business Bureau (BBB) (where they have an F rating!) to see ALL the unhappy people that CW has bilked of their deposits, only to leave the work undone, read about damage to property, insincere promises, & SUBCONTRACTORS they use to do the work. Now that I’m in this predicament, it seems evidence of CW’s neglect, delaying tactics, & property damage is everywhere. They have been sued multiple times & the number of filed complaints against them at the BBB exceeds 150! 9-21-22 Raccoon-like 3rd party subcontractor [who looks like an ex-con and is confusingly aided by his surly teenager] dismantles our door, throwing parts of it into my flowerbeds which his kid has already trampled. Says OOPS, they sent the wrong door. This one opens to the opposite side. Old door is now in pieces. Guy puts door on opening the wrong way. He then rips our old front storm door off with so little care that he peels the paint off the molding, leaving a severely paint-stripped mess. Worst part: he didn't cop to the damage or mention it to ANYONE. He damaged my home & skulked away. He also spotted our floors with an industrial adhesive which would not come off with cleaners, Mr. Clean sponges, or even alcohol. 9-22-22 Install Mgr JW gives me the option to flip the door they just put in OR order a brand new sliding glass door (SGD). I said, "If you're asking me which I want, I want a brand new door that is exactly what we initially ordered." Calls later, backpedals & says they will just flip current SGD. Why did he even offer a choice? [NOTE: JW was fired early in 2023 due to his falsifying of orders/lying to customers. This according to current branch manager.] ANOTHER DOOR MUST BE ORDERED. 11-02-22 Techs flip the SGD so they open to the proper side. Multiple problems/concluded that doors are not reversable. Locks don’t line up, door handle isn’t switchable without losing ergonomics & function, screen latch is now 6 inches lower. 1-25-23 JW texts an update: still waiting on SGD. Expect it in 2 wks. I also have txts to JW going back MONTHS where I have had to repeatedly ask for the keys to our new front storm door which never made it to us from the fired worker's pocket. JW says keys are gone/lost & he will have to install a new handle, which he has. Great! Can I have them?? 3-22-23 Call from CustSvc, saying THERE IS NO DOOR ON ORDER & confusing an already complicated situation by introducing some non-existent issue of my wanting "blinds" for the sliding door & THAT was the reason for the delay. They were waiting for me to decide. WHAT?? The word "blinds" was never mentioned by ANYONE, EVER in our dealings & in fact I hate blinds & would have declined that feature if it had ever come up WHICH IT DIDN'T. 4-14-23 Guy RE-ASSESSES SGD. Says he will finally bring & install new front storm door handle & give us keys. He shows up without either. Says he has to RE-ORDER. 5-30-23 Tech replaces SGD. Screen door still upside down. Rep in PA calls: "Your new front storm door handle HAS JUST BEEN ORDERED." They told us they ordered this 6 wks ago! MORE LIES. 6-02-23 Screen door is installed FINALLY completing HALF of what we contracted for 327 DAYS AGO. 6-20-23 Keys/front storm door handle replaced. Handle is MUCH PUNIER. 7-14-23 CW invoices us for final balance. 369 DAYS FROM START TO FINISH ON 2 DOORS.

I purchased windows from Champion…

I purchased windows from Champion Windows & Home Exteriors. When the salesman came out, he made his presentation and I decided to proceed with installation. With the purchase, I was given a voucher called "Voucher with Destination Motivation". I had to send them a prepayment of $100 which I sent. After months of sending emails, calling and leaving voicemails no one has returned my call or responded to my emails. Total rip off! As for the windows, I have noticed some deficiencies, but I don't dare to call because they don't return your call one way or the other! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY! BEWARE! STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!

No show, no window

I will start with this. From the guy sent out here to measure my window. He measured incorrectly. When your crew came out to install my window the first time, there was 1 guy to install a 10 ft window. The window was measured incorrectly so it was 3 inches short on both sides for length, and short almost 2 inches for width. The installer got an attitude when I asked about the window being short. So another window was ordered. The day of the install for the new correctly sized window was canceled because of a broken sash. Now today I had an appointment for 8-12 for this window to be installed and no one showed up. I have been waiting for weeks to get this fixed. I have holes in the front of my house where my old bay window is that have been subjected to the elements. I took a vacation day from work for this to happen and no one showed up. If I did my job the way your company has with my window installation I’d be fired. Completely unacceptable. Unable to get a hold of the project manager Julius Tyler to get this resolved. I will never use your company again. Do better champion.

Super mad about this company

Super mad about this company After spending closed to 24 K to replace my window now I can’t claim the expense on my taxes because the company is not up to date and doesn’t have a manufacturing number that the IRS is required for tax returns 😡😡😡

Reply from Champion Windows & Home Exteriors2026-03-19

We’re sorry to hear about your frustration and appreciate you bringing this to our attention. The federal tax credit only applies to products that are classified as Energy Star ‘Most Efficient’, ES7. The windows you received are Energy Star–rated and energy efficient, but they do not meet that specific ‘Most Efficient’ threshold, so they do not qualify for the federal tax credit. Eligibility for tax credits is determined solely by federal guidelines and the IRS, not by our company. These requirements are subject to change and are outside of our control. That said, they still meet Energy Star standards, and we recommend checking with your tax professional to see if there may be other rebates or incentives available for your project. We appreciate your feedback and value you as our customer.
