Do not waste your time with this company

I was new to developing a website from scratch and Zoek came up as a Wix suggested developer. This company claims to be web designers, but I ended up doing all the work. I chose their complete web design package...after over a month trying to work with them, I'm not sure what that package is. Nothing was custom, my account manager was unable to clearly describe the process, and it felt like a total scam. I spent hours of my time providing information, filling out questionnaires, giving feedback, and it was like they didn't look at any of it. It took them a month to provide anything, and it was a joke. They took my logo and splashed it on a few pages, adding colors and pictures that did not work together. No experienced business person would approve of the website they tried to pressure me into accepting. Before we started, in the initial questionnaire, I told them exactly what colors I wanted, gave them sample websites to look at--they couldn't have been any further from what I requested and it was obvious they did not look at the questionnaire or the other websites I recommended. It got to the point that I questioned whether or not they were an actual business - for real - that's how bad the experience was. It was a total loss, cost me over $3k and a month of time - which is critical in a seasonal start-up. I've hired another company create what I wanted for $700--and it took them 48 hours. On a positive note, I learned a lot about how to develop a website, what to look for in a digital company, and what to avoid. After talking to several other digital marketing companies, and hiring two of them, I realized how bad they actually were.

Working with Zoek

We hired Zoek to optimize our Wix website because it wasn’t appearing in local Google searches, and we had no idea what content was needed for Google to properly index and rank it in surrounding towns. The salesman assured us they could handle everything under a 6-month contract which cost us $2190 and get our website, traction on the web. Instead, they sold us a basic service that only updated our Google Business Profile and added some backend keywords, while doing nothing to improve the visible content on our actual website. Four months and significant expense later, our site still lacks the proper content to work effectively with our business profile, and our visibility remains unchanged. When we pushed for answers, we learned the salesman had not sold us the right plan, never mentioned other available tiers, and has since left Zoek. Zoek offers no upfront site analysis for true beginners and provides no meaningful remedy — our only options now are to pay them $799 to design a completely new website or sign a much more expensive new contract just to add the needed content. Disappointed.

Poor Quality Work and Unprofessional

My experience with Zoek after paying over $3500 for the Core Plan on a 12‑month service plan was unsatisfactory and a waist of money. Overall, the experience was unprofessional and exhausting, and I would strongly recommend that prospective customers document everything and monitor billing closely or find a more reputable provider. I expected basic professionalism: accurate billing, clear communication, and follow-through. My experience with Zoek was the opposite—too many delays, too little accountability, and an unresolved billing situation that created real stress.

I was charged $1,499 before signing any agreement. I declined in writing prior to signing and did not authorize services or billing. No contract was executed. The charge was still processed and has now been disputed.

Paid in Full Before Terms Were Disclosed

Our organization engaged Zoek Marketing for website design services and paid in full based on time-based marketing representations. After payment was made, we were provided with terms that included a strict no-refund policy that had not been disclosed beforehand. When we attempted to resolve issues with the project and requested a refund, the request was denied. This experience highlights the importance of fully reviewing all terms and conditions before making payment.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience using Wix and their third-party partner, ZOEK. One Wix continues to send me emails that my information has not been updated and after updating the information over five times they still send the email so therefore the services are not activated. Asked for ZOEK…. After paying approximately $2,000 for website development services, I expected a smooth, supportive, and efficient process—especially as someone new to building a website. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience at all. It has been an entire year, and my website is still not fully operational or fluid. The process of making edits and updates has been slow, fragmented, and ineffective. Because communication is not done in real-time or side-by-side, the final results often do not reflect my vision, leading to repeated delays and frustration. Additionally, I was recently charged $89 for hosting/management fees in February 2026—something that was never clearly disclosed to me at the time of my initial $2,000 payment. This lack of transparency is extremely concerning. I should not be surprised by recurring charges that were not properly communicated or outlined in the agreement. To make matters worse, I continue to receive outreach encouraging me to purchase additional marketing services—even though my website is still not complete. That is both frustrating and inappropriate given the current state of service. This experience has been slow, inconvenient, and not beginner-friendly. For a platform that presents itself as user-friendly and supportive, this has been the opposite. At this point, I am requesting a refund for services that have not been delivered. After a full year with no functional result, this situation is unacceptable. I would not recommend this service to anyone who is new to website creation and looking for clear guidance, transparency, and timely execution.

Zoek designed my sight for psychotherapy. I felt the program was at a fair price, and they did an excellent job. ON difficulty though was the person doing the actual website development would not meet the deadlines, so that would make my meetings with Zoek representative delayed and the entire process was delayed greatly. All that being said, Mirtha saved the day, Her expertise handling of taking on the development of m y sight, explanation and always telling me the straight truth of reasons for delays, I greatly appreciated. She is friendly, honest and very skilled. She had instantaneous suggestions that worked in all of my concerned areas on my website. She is a real gem. Mirtha made all the difference int he world! I would give Zoek organization a 2, it was Mirtha that I would give a 5-star, so that is why this is a 4 star. Mirtha gave truly white glove service. Thank you Mirtha for all your hard work. DO NOT USE ZOEK MARKETING PARTNERS. I don't know how they claim to have a high rating when there are so many one star reviews! They will mislead you (I'm being kind - they actually lie!) in the sales call to get a contract, then make errors on your account, make promises they don't keep, charge you pay for services they don't deliver on, continue to expect payment and hold your project hostage, then charge late fees if you don't continue to pay for services they have not yet provided. I have had multiple account managers make multiple errors, then deny responsibility. I have been paying for a website, hosting, SEO on two websites for over 4 months and I still don't have any fulfilment of their contract. They expect me to continue paying for something they have NOT delivered on. They will NOT refund me for a product I have NOT received. Their definition of SEO is vastly different to industry definition and do not consider international client's needs for example, links to registers in the USA are not viable for clients who live outside the USA - they are not my customers and they have not collaborated with me on this issue. I have made multiple calls to the person who promised to resolve these issues, and I don't get a call back. I have lost thousands of dollars while being on a tight start up budget and lost months of sales opportunities when I have a deadline to reach a certain goal that I will now NEVER get back. They have truly been detrimental in causing me financial loss and setbacks. Even if they refunded me, I have lost precious, valuable time I will never get back. I went with them because they are WIX partners and I expected professionalism - shame on you WIX for recommending them. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - they will financially and mentally abuse you without remorse.

He is very attentive and responsive. His work is amazing and we couldn't be happier with the work he has done and continues to do.
