I wanted to write a review regarding the customer service I have received as it is only fair to send a positive review if I was previously going to post a negative one. I received an email yesterday regarding an automatic subscription renewal and that £90 had been taken out of my account as I hadn’t cancelled my subscription. I didn’t realise my subscription was on an automatic renewal and do not need this subscription as I am due to give birth any day and was really stressed that an unexpected £90 had been taken out of my account. I looked back on my emails and had received an email to confirm the subscription renewal, but this wasn’t at all obvious that it was regarding a renewal (the email was titled “your NC journey” and the subscription renewal line was half way through the email within a paragraph). This just looked like a spam email so I deleted. I immediately messaged the chatbot which said I couldn’t get a refund due to terms and conditions so emailed the customer service team. I was very stressed about the situation as I have read many reviews on trust pilot of people in the same situation and being refused refunds. I am due to give birth imminently and really can’t afford £90 to be taken out of my account. The customer service team were really really helpful and after an offer for a credit at first, I have now been granted a full refund. I am honestly really really relieved and appreciative of this outcome and wanted to write a positive review as if this wasn’t the case, this would’ve been another negative review to add to the others in the same situation. It’s only fair that I give praise where it’s due! Thank you so much and thank you for relieving a very stressed 41 week pregnant woman!
Convenient but pricy
This app is so easy to use. I love being able to wake up and easily log everything and then not check it again until the next day. I simply wish the subscription were not so expensive!
I'm quite conflicted about this review
I'm quite conflicted about this review. I really really love the app, and have been using it for about 10 years now. The design and user experience is faultless. But I cannot believe how expensive the last update was! £80, it was £40 the year before. Not sure how a 100% increase in price is justified ! The money had already gone out automatically before I noticed, however that's the first time I considered leaving. I used to recommend it all the time, but for this reason I no longer do. But it's an amazing app other than that.

The best!
Super easy to use, I love not using any hormonal birth control. I recently purchased the NC wristband, which makes it even more easy, just wake up and sync. If you have an Apple Watch, Garmin Watch or an Oura ring you can even sync it with those! There’s a ‘Learn’ tab in the app, where you can find lots of information (about PMS, fertility, …) and it’s all scientifically proven! I can’t recommend Natural Cycles enough!!!
Used to be great, app changes mean the cost is no longer justified.
The concept of this is great, and I have used it on and off for years now and it has always prevented pregnancy well for me. However the cost of the app has become unjustified at I think £89 a year now. I understand costs go up, obviously, but this was £30 when I first started using it so has more than doubled for a virtual item. My main issue though is the app changes. it has over the years become increasingly bloated. All of the important notifications (period is coming etc) are mixed in with random facts that you can't turn off which make it annoying trying to find your useful notifications difficult or requiring admin to manually delete all the knowledge bites. The thing that has finally made me decide to stop using this is the recent app changes. Everything for logging data was on one screen previously, so you could click "log" then log all symptoms along with temperature in one go. To accommodate users with oura rings etc they have changed this design to be better for them, but disregarding what's more compact and easier to use for users without these automated temp tracking methods. For me to log my data now, I have to go into two separate screens in the app which takes longer and honestly, it's just overall become way too bloated, visually annoying to look at, and too much admin time for me to use the app in a way that's useful to me. It's such a shame they have ruined everything that was good about the app in my opinion. It would be nice if they catered to all customers rather than trying to force people into purchasing a more expensive thermometer, or allowed more setting changes in the app so users could have it how it works best for them. Would recommend people to look into doing this method manually themselves rather than using this app - there are lots of fertility awareness books available that are helpful for this.

I am so grateful to have found Natural Cycles. I stopped taking hormonal birth control December of 2025 and Natural Cycles with the band has been a game changer. I am able to track my cycle down to symptoms I may be having. I would 100% recommend Natural Cycles to anyone that is looking for non hormonal birth control.

The easiest thing to do and how it works is brilliant. It’s comfy to wear and doesn’t need charging as much as I thought. Just remember to sync it every morning though.

I enjoyed using Natural Cycles, and when I was ready to get off it, I accidentally let the subscription run, and after trying twice, they issued a full refund. Thank you so much! I will happily refer to Natural Cycles.
Poor customer service- money focused
Overall the app is a good idea, however, as a fitbit wearer I have to rely on the thermometer to take my temperature. Fitbit have confirmed they have the same technology as apple watches for temperature which are accepted, but fitbit is not- and fitbit advised I email natural cycles as they are very happy to partner with them. I can only presume there are monetary reasons involved for NC to only work with certain brands when the technology is the same. This disregard for everyone's ease of use of the app really frustrates me. The guidance around the thermometer is really stressful- you cant measure if you've woken up during the night as it has to be after your longest sleep (how do you know that if you wake up a few times each night), has to be immediately upon waking and if you feel even vaguely under the weather you have to disregard it. I found I was constantly waking up stressing during the night about taking my temp/forgetting to, if I felt ill so was getting poor data. It also gave me a green day only for me to do an ovulation test later that day and discover I was ovulating- even though I was told it would only give you green if it was certain you couldn't get pregnant that day. So I've basically given up on taking my temperature and now use it as a basic calendar for tracking when my period is due, with the hope that they will soon accept fitbits. I have now noticed they have started selling bands to measure temperature (rather than actually moving forward with other providers). However these are a ridiculous £80, which on top of the £90 annual membership is outrageous. Feels a bit like adding insult to injury. Free to new subscribers but very pricey to people who are already signed up and paying them. This latest step by them feels one too far and I will now be cancelling my account. Overall, incredibly disappointed. Feels like they are always looking to increase profits rather than focus on their customers.
One of the best apps
I think it’s really great 👌🏼 I have the opportunity to learn my own cycle and it’s helping me to make fix some problems if there are any. And also - so easy that my watch can take my temperature so I don’t have to wake up and measure the temperature myself. 💜

Great hormone-free contraception and detailed period tracker
A really detailed period tracker, plus data crunching for hormone-free contraception. I used Natural cycles for a year to prevent pregnancy, then about three months to plan a pregnancy, then tracked a pregnancy ... then prevented and planned a second pregnancy ... now I'm back to preventing pregnancy and tracking perimenopause. Each stage has been good, I would recommend it for any of those purposes. At the moment my favourite thing is I love the new thermometer band which means you don't have to measure your temperature every morning, and it can cope with broken sleep, perfect for a mum of young children who are still frequently awake in the night.

I love using Natural Cycles because it fits so naturally into my life. I’ve been using it for two years now and it’s been really easy to stick with. It gives me peace of mind knowing it’s been effective at preventing pregnancy, especially since that can happen very easily for me and my husband. I’ve been using the NC° Band since it came out and it has made the whole experience even easier. It feels empowering to understand my body better while having a method I can trust and rely on every day.
