Terrible. Spent more money trying to sue Palworld than they did creating their last Pokémon game, which was absolutely horrible and full of issues. Nintendo only cares about money and doesnt give a damn about their player base.
The Nintendo switch 2 is horrible because of its cheap all black looks , horrible battery life. It's over priced for what you are getting. Hopefully this gets fixed. Nintendo should be ashamed for throwing something like that out there on the market.
Constantly discontinues platforms and digital purchases, forcing you to constantly, repeatedly repurchase the same games. Raised prices, blamed it on the tariffs, sued the government because of it, got reimbursed, gave 0 back to customers, basically argued "because we don't have to".
These idiots have removed the ability to see how many players can play for each game no matter if it's online or offline on the eshop on phone.
I am very disappointed with Nintendo. One of the biggest games of the decade, GTA VI, is coming out, and Nintendo users are being left behind because there is no partnership or support to bring the game to the platform. As a loyal Nintendo customer, this is frustrating. Many players want the freedom to enjoy major third-party releases without having to buy another console. It feels like Nintendo is missing a huge opportunity and ignoring what many fans want. I know this may not be entirely Nintendo’s decision, but from a customer’s perspective, it’s disappointing that they haven’t made it possible for us to play GTA VI on a Nintendo console. I hope Nintendo works harder to secure more major game releases in the future. Until then, I can’t recommend their platform to players who want access to the biggest new games.
I currently was planning to give my friend one of my sibling's very old nintendo switches. However, this console had activated parental controls. We were unable to figure out how to disactivate them ourselves, since as said, this console was OLD and the original pin was no longer remembered. So, Customer service was called up. First of all, this girl picks up and we can already tell she was gonna be super insufferable. When she asked for my friend to spell out her name, and she did, in the most attitude inclined voice she says "I was referring to the last name." Okay, that's fine but don't give attitude just because your instructions weren't clear. We proceed to give the serial number, and she is asking for an inquiry code, which we give. The page quite literally said "This number is needed for inquiry". And if that somehow wasn't the page then she gave us 0 assistance on finding it. She then just cuts me off and asks how old I was, which I replied to 18. We proceed as normal and she asks for my email, nickname (which all coincide) and then when she asked for my birthdate and I gave it to her, she demands to speak to an adult. I was the adult. I told her to hold on because my birthdate should coincide and she repeatedly cuts me off and says "I need to speak with an adult". For the third time, I let her know to hold on because there is obviously something wrong, like said before this is a very old console, perhaps this user was being used by someone known to us and they were younger?. However instead of giving me time to figure out the root of the problem as to why my email and nickname were coinciding but not my birthdate; She gives attitude over and over and says you will just have to call later when there is an adult with you. I just believed that since the beginning she was completely unprofessional, provided 0 guidance to troubleshoot our problem, and had absolutely no patience when I attempted to solve the issue as to why birthdates weren't coinciding. Either ways, turns out the birth year was the ONLY thing not coinciding, and either ways it was set for someone 18+. Me and my friend had to find how to troubleshoot it ourselves, and we did. No reason why contacting customer service should be that unpleasant. If you dont like interacting with people who need help, then dont apply for a job that it's purpose is to do exactly that.
Never ever going to use another Nintendo product ever again, used to love them as a kid but now they care about only one thing... money, problem is they don't know how to make it themselves so they use corrupt tactics to bleed whatever cash they can from whatever location they can. From courtcases against small companies (but never go for the bigger ones with the same reasoning) to preventing people from owning their own games or devices altogether. Scummy company with scummy practices. Maybe they should dedicate their energy to creating something great again instead of ripping everyone off. Would rate zero if it was possible.
⭐☆☆☆☆ (1 Star) I am extremely disappointed with Nintendo’s customer service and refund policy. I accidentally purchased the wrong game because of the way the Nintendo eShop is laid out. There are multiple versions of what appears to be the same game, with very similar names and listings, making it far too easy to buy the wrong one by mistake. I cannot be the only customer this has happened to. What has made this even more disappointing is Nintendo’s complete refusal to offer any form of goodwill. As someone with disabilities, I explained that the confusing layout contributed to my mistake and asked whether they could either refund the purchase or simply provide store credit instead. Both requests were refused. I appreciate that companies have policies, but good customer service should also involve understanding individual circumstances and showing some flexibility where appropriate. Offering store credit would have cost Nintendo very little while demonstrating that they value their customers. Instead, I have been left feeling that customer satisfaction and accessibility are not priorities. For a company with Nintendo’s reputation, I expected much better. I hope Nintendo reviews both the design of the eShop and its refund policy so that other customers, particularly those with disabilities or accessibility needs, are not put in the same position.
I got scammed on the estore and Nintendo blocked my account for it. I purchased a scam game on Nintendos estore, the game didn't work and unfortunately after a Google it seems it was well documented as a scam. I contacted Nintendo for a refund and they denied, I asked for it to be escalated as under UK consumer law I am protected and entitled to a refund but Nintendos illegal T&C practices meant they refused. So I did a charge back as this isn't the first game I've been scammed by on Nintendo and this was the final straw. Nintendo then proceeded to block my account as I breached their T&C's HOWEVER in an email from them they stated that they refund games in circumstances that they do not work and thus downloading a broken game breaches THEIR T&C's so they actually breached them first by not refunding the game and leaving me with no option to go to my bank but yet I AM BEING PUNISHED FOR BEING SCAMMED! Absolutely appalling service and I will never use or buy another Nintendo product after this as they clearly don't care about the quality of products they sell and don't vet anything on their e-store, they are happy to have active scammers on there.
So we purchased the new switch two with Mario kart which was fun for a few weeks but after completing the game there are literally no games for older gamers and no new titles and all they offer is relaunch of old games which are terrible, 5 months on the switch is useless and nothing to play on it, the store is pathetic and the membership is rubbish why not offer a game pass to play all games which unfortunately are normal switch games and about 2 or 3 actual switch 2 games available worth playing. Anyway I'm lumbered with a switch 2 costing over £425.00 and iscollecting dust and no decent games to use with it. Total Waste of Money. So I'd say don't waste you money buying a switch 2 and buy an xbox or PS5. Ive emailed the customer service etc and never get a reply so proves they don't care at all about their customers.
website doesn't load on wiiu browser. 1 star.
Bought a switch 2 and it broke within 2 days utterly awful customer service followed with arguments about warranties and what’s covered. Disgusting company.
Worst customer service, they will put you on-hold forever. They have issues tracking an item odered online. When I cancelled my order as it takes forever, they said the item is going back to their warehouse due to courier issues (never reached me). So they won't issue a refund until they receive the item back in their warehouse. ....well, I am not the shipper of this item, it's you Nintendo, why do I have to wait for that to reach your warehouse....it's on its way back to you. Save the hassle guys, and if I can just undo this nintendo purchase to forget this experience...I'd undo it a million times....
It’s crazy how they release a new console raise the price of the new console after a year aswell as raising the old consoles price after it being out almost 10 years. This company doesn’t need anymore money yet they will bleed its consumers dry.
I had an issue with some purchases that I didn't receive email receipts for. The only way to contact the customer service team is by email. Although they replied to my emails, they couldn't "provide the answers to my questions" and constantly used this as an excuse to not help. There is no complaints procedure, they just escalate to a "dedicated team" to review, and even then they don't provide an answer. The customer service team clearly doesn't want to help, nor improve their service, and this is evident by all the reviews here.
If you have more than one child and are planning on buying multiple Nintendo Switch consoles for your household, turn around and run away. We invested heavily in three consoles for our family, and the digital game-sharing system is completely anti-consumer and broken. Nintendo uses an aggressive 'Primary vs. Secondary' device lockout system. If you buy a digital game, only one console can play it offline. Moreover, I had to sign into the parent account in the nintendo store to buy a game on one switch but then we couldn't play the game on that switch (the one we purchased it with) because the Nintendo parent account is associated with a different switch... The other consoles require a mandatory internet check just to launch the software, completely ruining the portability aspect during road trips or travel. Worse yet, if you try to reset this system remotely while away from home, Nintendo locks you out with an arbitrary one-year cooldown timer on their website. Low-level support is powerless to override it. A company built on 'family entertainment' has created the most hostile, rigid multi-device environment on the market. We are completely wiping our systems, selling the hardware, and walking away from the ecosystem entirely.
IMO Nintendo is a alr company. Sure they charge high prices for games but they've been making them since 1981 what do you expect? Nintendo CAN charge you high price for stuff like the switch 2. But the switch 2 is basically the switch but better. but it doesn't need the Gamechat feature or 600$ price tag. Nintendo hates fan games and takes them down btu i get it. protective of your ip.
