This happens when the composer, or someone representing the composer, has entered the music into YouTube Content ID. The Content ID system is how YouTube tracks everything that's uploaded. It prevents fraud, piracy, and people uploading content they have not purchased. Although frustrating, this seems to be where the stock media industry is heading when it comes to YouTube, and there is still no way to prevent this other than by filing a dispute. This means that in most cases, you can use the file in just about any creative or commercial context. So long as you are incorporating the Pond5 Content within a production and you are not giving your audience access to the raw Pond5 file, you should be fine. All licenses to Pond5 Content are covered by our License Agreement, so we recommend that you read through it to make sure your use will fit within the generous terms of our license. I would like to highlight that Section 2 outlines the “Grant of All Media License”, Section 4 covers our different “License Tiers”, “Restrictions” are listed in Section 5 of our License Agreement and, lastly, the use of Editorial Content is subject to the additional terms of Section 7. As outlined in section 9 of our License Agreement, if you are posting your work online, our preferred attribution is a hyperlinked text: [Media Type] provided by [Contributor Name]/ Pond5.com If you are working with media that does not lend itself to this kind of crediting, or the Contributor's name is not available, you may credit the artist's username. For example: [Media Type] by [seller's username] / Pond5.com, or simply mention us: "Media Provided by Pond5" If your Podcast is online only, you do not need a cue sheet, but if it will be on radio or TV, then it does need one. I would probably say it's better to submit one than not (especially since it's free anyway). We do understand there may be limitations, and we are flexible with what works for your production.
