Excellent company, glad I have found them

I have been wearing linen trousers to work for the past few summers from a well known high street brand, but they are a little baggy and I find them unappealing. An instagram post led me to Made to Measure company 'Proper Cloth' and I noticed Simon Crompton from the Permanent Style blog followed them, so I checked them out. They had what looked like the perfect pair of trousers that I've been looking for, well cut linen cotton trousers, the Positano Dress Pant. I followed their guidance on sizing and measured myself carefully and ordered a pair. They came in a few weeks but were one inch too large on the waist. I had them altered and Proper Cloth credited me the alteration cost against a future purchase. The Trousers then fit perfectly, although the side strap does not quite go tight enough for my liking. But I love the fabric, the quality of the design and the style and they way they fit. I have ordered 4 more pairs in different colours, and they have since arrived, and I feel completely sorted now for summer dress. I heartily recommend to anyone seeking to up their sartorial game.

The clothes themselves are extremely high quality, shipped efficiently and safely, and overall look great.

This firm of shirtmakers is now my go-to place for my present needs. It is not easy to tackle a septuagenarian, corpulent, fussy dresser with a short trunk and long arms—a French-cuff-wearing sartorial dude sauntering into the sunset. Well, they have proven to be just the right people to handle me. They are patient, obliging, and unafraid to allow several trial fittings just to get the right fit. And they are quick to respond to queries and emails—a rare breed of tailors in an age of formulaic products and services.

Doing an online consultation made me more confident ordering a suit that is a large investment if it isn't right. The fabric of the suit and shirt I ordered were beautiful. Just what I expected.
