The sheer amount of fabric options, customization and cuts are almost overwhelming. Thankfully their customer service is top notch at helping me narrow down to what I need the shirt to do and where it needs to get done!
I scheduled a virtual fitting and Wow!!
I scheduled a virtual fitting appointment and Proper Cloth sent two shirts for me to try. I made notes on which fit better and any changes I needed. The consultant viewed my fit over a video conference and constructed and saved that size to my profile. I now order shirts directly on the website and use that custom sizing profile. These shirts come to me and they are of spectacular quality and fit. Proper Cloth is a wonderful place for someone like me that doesn't like to shop at stores and mess with the one size fits all (but never does) trap. I highly recommend them.

Proper cloth used to make custom one off shirts - the customer chooses fabric and buttons. Recently they’ve started replacing the studs on the tuxedo shirts with cheap plastic non matching studs. At first they’d send replacement buttons. Now they just say that the product has changed. Yet they still offer button choice on the site. Davan the customer service manager was super unhelpful, saying basically if you don’t like it don’t be a customer. Seems like cost saving has killed another quality experience. Steer clear.
Simple, straightforward experience
The whole process of ordering from Proper Cloth was made so simple from start to finish. The videos on how to measure and the explanations for all of the styles and terms was really useful. The delivery was fairly quick and I'm delighted with the result. I didn't have to contact customer service but felt assured that they would help if I needed it. I'm very happy with my order and will definitely be going back to them again.
Custom shirt orders
Easy to custom fit a shirt from a large range of styles and fabric options. They fit true to the custom order, but have a return and resize option in the rare chance that you have mucked it up.

The customer service went above and beyond. I originally purchase a s130 wool suit. Unfortunately the wool did not travel well at all. Wrinkles were significant and wouldn't relax on the hanger or in a steamy bathroom. After about six months of occasional wear and my wife reminding me to contact proper cloth, I did. I was impressed, they offered to remake the suit in a “Traveler” material. It was a more robust blend, but looked sharp. It travels much better as long as you hang it when you get to the hotel.

Service is unmatched anywhere. They are your new personal stylist and tailor. Selection is overwhelming. You'd be hard pressed not to find something you must have. All considered you're getting more than just a well made custom fit article of clothing. You're getting a stylist and tailor and a company that values you as a client.

Virtual Tailor’s Fitting, From Home.
My consultant will be sending me some try-on garments in search of a perfect fitting from afar. We will then have a virtual fitting via Zoom, wherein my video and comments will be recorded for temporary reference. Then my profile will be updated to include casual chinos, dress wool slacks and suit pattern that fits me. Then I can order pants, trousers, suits, shirts with confidence whenever I need or want, or discover a fantastic new fabric. What a great idea!
Fantastic company!
So far, this has been a terrific experience. I now have measurements perfected for both dress and casual shirts. Proper Cloth has a fantastic selection of fabrics and designs, so I can't see buying anywhere else. Next, I'll try out their suits, pants etc.
